Don't forget to draw up a planting plan so you know what went in where, as labels don't last forever.
I need to rescue a Japanese maple from my late brother's house before we sell it.
I gave it to him in 1991 but it's still only 5' tall.
I guess it depends on whether it rooted out of the buried container.

I love Japanese Maples. My Dad.has a tree that seeds and we gather hundreds of seedling every year. Non grafted of course but they grow beautiful. I have probably 50 trees that are 30+ years old and are beautiful. We give many many trees away every year. Trees Rock.

Wow that coral bark maple, can’t wait to see your starfish one later on. I’m a different grow zone so maybe I’ll enjoy here😂

Well it's going to look outstanding, with the different colors and leaf shapes.
Always a great watch. Greetings from frozen Cleveland, Ohio.

I planted my first Japanese maple two years ago in the front yard! I resisted for years because nurseries wanted way to much for such a small tree! I found one on clearance and snapped it up! I could never understand why these little suckers are so darn expensive!

Most have to be grafted and are slow growers adding to their expense. They are so worth it though!

Stick your hands in the compost and hold it to your nose and take a deep breath and think back to the truckload of eggs that made the compost smell so good 😂😂😂
