Me watching this video and paying attention to all the technical details as if I don't live in the Netherlands in an appartment in the middle of a city and I will never have the amount of money required to have a piece of land that would fit even half a tunnel like this 😂😂 it was just a fun and interesting watch!
yes, indeed. I was never really allowed to help my parents with their tasks. They also didn‘t have the patience to really teach me. That is something I admire a lot.
I was definitely holding my breath there a few times. It’s always so beautiful when you can see the Lords hand calming a situation showing He cares for even the small things. ❤
Thank you for this. Such a beneficial and needed skill that’s being (sadly) replaced with Xbox controllers these days. Trying our hardest to raise capable children with good self confidence 🙏🏼
WOW! That was a lot of work, trials and ingenuity in one video! I love how well your kids work with you and that Cam teaches all of them so patently , even Noel. She isn’t afraid of hard work. I was on the verge of tears through the entire vlog, as having enough time to do everything , is an all too common problem for dads and moms alike. One project at a time. Praying for a safe delivery of the new baby. Happy New Year all
Very nice! God willing we end up in Missouri next school year on family acreage then we can start putting high tunnels up too. Just no real good space here on our half acre now due to a dozen 75ft trees.
Glad to see you got financial assistance thru NRCS.( I recently retired from there)...I would recommend starting a wind break for protection on those tunnels....NRCS can also provide guidance and financial asst too !!!!
WOW!!!!! What a Humungous Job!!! I’d never be able to find such an Amazing hard working great attitude work crew❤ It Looks Amazing!!! Extremely Happy for you & very jealous😉
I showed it to my husband, hoping he would help me set up my greenhouse this spring. probably not, but I will also show him the episode when Cam was left at home with kids when Becky was in France! Good job! so inspiring!
Wow! You created a wind bomb in the greenhouse! Blew its top off! What a job….but good work! Thank goodness you could salvage what you could. Wind can ruin everything! My sister and I held a confirmation for her son….in the summer outside. It was a beautiful day…until you stepped outside. All our decorations, tables, tablecloths all blew away! Wind was something neither of us thought of….it turned out great regardless. We held it indoors, and everybody was running around gathering up everything they saw…🤣🤣
We have gotten into a similar situation. We need a stronger trellis for our passion fruit vines, since the last one collapsed during a storm. But, as you know with homesteading sometimes other more important projects come along. Here it was the need for a new larger chicken coop, since raccoons keep getting into the chicken pen. The new one opens at dawn and closes at sunset, which protect the chickens from the wild life. This just means that the trellising had to be postponed again. It’s life, so there are no use to stress over it. Good job getting it all done
I have always wanted a high tunnel but watched my neighbor's blow apart it our awful wind, so decided against it. I am happy yours worked out, thanks to team work and ingenuity. I look forward to seeing what you grow in it.
I am so happy for you guys!! You have such a wonderful family. Your kids are amazing ❤️ I look so forward to seeing how wonderful your garden is next year Thank you P.S. I can't wait to meet your new baby. You two make beautiful children
Cam's pleasantly surprised the door worked. And all the kids helping, even the toddler. I was glad to see you guys were able to get some additional man power to finish. I'm sure that by now the baby has arrived and I hope your little bundle is in good health and mama is recovering well. Great video.
Amazing! I get frustrated just putting frost cover over my raised beds in the wind. I can’t even imagine having to handle that plastic tunnel cover in the wind. God bless!
Good job ❤ but.. one tunnel creates a shadow for the other. If in the future you have the opportunity, move the new tunnel to the edge of the plot so it has greater access to light 🌞
Thanks!! Different growing areas have different needs. We are in the south, so any light shade from a nearby tunnel is actually quite beneficial, especially in the summer. We actually add shade cloth during the summer to keep things cool and growing well. The tunnels are oriented north-south they still get plenty of sun even in winter ❄️😊
High tunnels give me so much anxiety now. We live in a place where the wind gets really severe and i watched a guy in town completely lose both of his. I hope your climate is more gentle. But man, how nice everything grows in the high tunnel makes it super appealing
Oh goodness! The wind has been horrible. I can’t remember where you are located. I know you’ve told me before. I’m in SW Indiana and grew up in SE Illinois. Your weather is like ours❤
So much to love about this video. In addition to all the obvious skills your entire family has, I loved watching the older boys toting the “site manager” around so naturally and comfortably. In addition to everything else, they are learning how to be good dads themselves one day. Happy New Year and prayers for an easy delivery and post partum period.
Oh the blessing of family and friends that are supportive. Your boys are doing a great job and the skills they’re learning will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Well done!
This sure brings back memories. Me and one other person installed a 30x90 tunnel by ourselves, including augering holes and setting the posts in concrete. We worked on it from sun up to sun down for 10 days. Three years summers later, we had a freak wind storm on a day so hot the end walls were completely open. The wind came through the tunnel at just the right angle to make it a sail. It lifted the end posts, complete with concrete, ten feet out of the ground. I ended up fastening a knife to the end of a long pole, running inside and slicing the plastic while dodging flying concrete and poles. That was a very scary day.
Yes, we had rock to deal with when we put in our high tunnel. We had to cut some supports and even used cement around three of the shorter ones. Frame went up in about 4 days in Sept. Then we took of for a 6 week trip to the southwest. Our plan is to put the plastic up in Feb. for planting in March. Still debating how we want to do the end walls.
If we only supported clothing companies that we are 100% aligned with politically, we’d be farming in the buff. Why must the vaccine debate be either so aggressively anti or pro? Cars have been known to kill people, so are you anti car?? - Cam
Hey, may it be possible for you to remove the automatic synchronization? It's not really comfortable to listen to the automatic synchronized video, at least, I can't bare it ;-) It would be great to hear your real voices again :-)
Thanks a lot for your answer. The latest videos (2) seem to be automatically translated according to the country you watch them from. So I can't hear your voice but listen to an artificial translation to my language. According to my researches, I as the one viewing can't do anything about. It would be very kind if you could remove it if it's possible for you.
Check out Ray Tyler’s farm. The entire thing is tunnels spaced similarly. Awesome grower with incredible yields. Definitely something we want to emulate! ua-cam.com/video/NUcADNCUXNY/v-deo.htmlsi=jc8-nCPPrvxZdrCt
Cam is officially the best husband ever! Fantastic job on the green house! Praying the baby birth is safe and without complications! Blessings!!🙏🙏🙏💕
Your teen son is growing up to be like Dad. I’m sure you are extremely proud of him. 😊

Whahah exact same situation here 😂but so interesting to watch if we ever get rich 😅
I can't go inside until I'm done, according to mom 😂
I laughed too. Lol
Epic parenting!! lol ❤. Sounds like something I would say 😅
That boy is being raised right.
The site supervisor deserves a cookie for doing such a good job.
That was stressful guys, but HALLELUJAH, you did it! Blood, sweat, tears. God bless you all in 2025.
Amazing work!!!can’t wait to see what you grow in there !!!
I love how your oldest said “ I can’t go in the house until this is done… mom said “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I loved that too 😂😂😂 He was such a big help to his momma and should be very proud ❤
Great to see the children learning and helping out.
yes, indeed.

So glad you were able to complete it, such a big undertaking. Nice when family and friends work together. Thankful for that miracle too! Val C ❤️🙏🏻
Congratulations! 🎉 on the new high tunnel. Serious goals.
Never a truer word spoken about a site supervisor. 💕 Best wishes for a safe delivery of your new family member.
WOW!!!!! What a Humungous Job!!! I’d never be able to find such an Amazing hard working great attitude work crew❤ It Looks Amazing!!! Extremely Happy for you & very jealous😉
It looks fabulous! And now has a little character to go with it 😅….now let’s have a baby! And plan a garden 😁
God really worked out the wind issue for you guys. He's a wonderful heavenly Father. Great video!
I showed it to my husband, hoping he would help me set up my greenhouse this spring. probably not, but I will also show him the episode when Cam was left at home with kids when Becky was in France! Good job! so inspiring!

Thank you so much! 🙏🏼 So nice when we can get the whole family together like this. Hoping for much more of this kind of time -Cheers, Cam
Obviously the site manager will have the highest pay. Job description was very accurate.
That’s great you were able to get that done. All the best to Becky on the upcoming delivery of the little one.

incredible TEAM WORK! Your Kids did a great Job as well...
The aerial view is gorgeous. Plenty of place for an orchard or something of the sorts.
Nice work, it is difficult to fit doing things sometimes in a busy family life. Your channel is so much fun watching, thank you for sharing.
Such a handsome and hardworking young man. You must be bursting with pride as parents.

Thank you! Still a few more weeks until baby comes!
I was doing a lot cringing watching you all drilling and cutting this metal with no eye protection. I love your videos
All the woman complaining about safety wear who will never do this in a million years.
You'll be able to grow so much more food. So happy for your family.
Fantastic!! I understand that wind, I've done my own dance with it, lol. Hope you're getting some rest now! P.S. you're videos are the absolute best.
Amazing! I get frustrated just putting frost cover over my raised beds in the wind. I can’t even imagine having to handle that plastic tunnel cover in the wind. God bless!
I would love a high tunnel. Might look into a dugout low tunnel set up. We've talked about it for years now.
You guys are amazing! What a job, and how awsome that you can work together to save the project! Happy New Year :-D
Great job everyone 😊
You guys maintain great humor through some frustrating times. Great job! Happy New Year to your family.
Sometimes that’s the only thing that gets us thru the hard times :) 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hey, don't forget their little daughter did some heavy lifting too!
@ indeed she did!

Happy new year
You guys sure make some cute babies 👶🏼
Riggs is wisely practicing: "Management by Walking Around."
Great work guys!
Fantastic team work!
Incredible build. Too technical for my mushy brain, but I so appreciate it. Good save. I know you'll grow great things. :)
Happy New Year! Can't wait to see what all y'all get into this year.
Wow! Good Grief! Very well done!!!
Thank you so much! It was definitely a learning experience 😂
You have the most tidy farmstead i see on you tube.
Aw thanks!
I’m so excited to see a new video!

WELL DONE 👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
That's a lot of great work! 👍🏻 😊
Thanks for sharing your process!
Success. 😊
I want one! 😀
Love the "site supervisor" joke

Plopping posts in the ground posts in the new way, isnt the water going to accumulate in the ground post and cause problems? Maybe silicone it in?
Halfway through and all I can think about is where are the safety glasses?? 😆🙈
You're right, I should have been wearing them! I got so caught up in the moment, I forgot about those.
CAM safely glasses please
Yes, with side protection when using any power tool. Kids too.
❤
Carhart required vaccine. Do you have an opinion as homesteaders?
If we only supported clothing companies that we are 100% aligned with politically, we’d be farming in the buff. Why must the vaccine debate be either so aggressively anti or pro? Cars have been known to kill people, so are you anti car?? - Cam
Tunnel #3 is coming in 2026 ??????
Hey, may it be possible for you to remove the automatic synchronization? It's not really comfortable to listen to the automatic synchronized video, at least, I can't bare it ;-) It would be great to hear your real voices again :-)

Your greenhouse is no good for the location where it is at. I do not know why people do not do any research before building someting.
