Hey everyone! Appreciate you all taking the time to watch this video! I'll be streaming my FRESH journey at twitch.tv/brrevs starting November 21st, and I'd love it if you'd toss me a follow and stop by! Good luck out there and happy FRESH!
My own tips after lvling a sham up to 60 in hc: - Always keep 1h+shield in inventory even if 2h is our Best weapon, swap weapon in case 2+ mobs are hitting us. If we are close to max skill lvl with 2h it is worth it to swap to 1h+s Just to increase our 1h skill as well. - when disarmed, you can swap to 1h +s and it will equip the shield, reducing significantly damage received for the duration of disarm. - when in a party with war/rogue, dropping wf totem is the best dps spell we can use. However if rogue has poison they wont benefit from it so we can wait up until poison wears off. Stoneskin totem is really strong against fast hitting mobs like cats, harpies, dual wielding mobs etc (can be equivalent to -30% damage taken, really ridiculous buff)
Another tip, Far Sight is an amazing ability for scouting areas to find out where a quest mob is, if it's alive, etc. For questing it seems people sleep on how amazing this skill really is, but the amount of time you can save is crazy once you start to reach for it more often.
Glad you made this vid! Playing Shaman as a change-of-pace pick for an Alliance-Andy like me sounds really interesting for Classic 2.0. So some shammy tips + just the vibe of being excited for the re-release is a mood for me :)
About tip 10. Rockbiter outperforms Windfury like 90% of the time, and this 10% is due some great drop you just got that is on your level. Yes, you sometimes can one shot a mob with triple crit but plenty of times your wf procs are simply wasted because mob was like 10% hp and you just stood for 90% of its hp waiting for wf proc and taking a beating. After leveling 4 shamans in my life to 60 I am pretty sure the best setup is 1h(preferably fast)+shield. There is really not that big of a difference between 1h and 2h in damage since huge chunk of your damage comes from rockbiter and magic. And with shield you significantly reduce downtime and you have no problems vs many mobs. Also I belive Melderon did very detailed tests about this topic when classic launched.
Staves are actually great for shamans since they benefit from both the damage and the stats on them. Get the staff from Wailing Caverns asap. You can do it at level 16 or so already if you heal.
The reason you build Agility on Shaman is because of Flurry. Boosting Crit chance means more flurry procs. You just have to know when to splurge on agility and when to do strength instead.
Exacly. For leveling its basically agility > any other stat on par with each other. Str isn't really that important at all since you get tons of AP from Rockbiter.
@@microvan1234 Define meaningful. Shammy gets much better scaling from agility than rogue or hunter. At lvl 60 its only 20agi per 1% crit. At low lvls even few points in agi can give you 1% to crit. Now, lets assume you are lvl 25 where agi stacking starts to be important. You can get item with 10 agi, which gives you more than 1% crit (don't remember exact scaling) or you can get item with 10 str, which gives you 20 ap, where your rockbiter gives you 200 at this lvl. Not to mention that agility also gives you armor (less damage taken, less downtime = faster leveling) AND dodge (again, less damage taken, less downtime = aster leveling)
Damn you almost sound like one of my favourite MLB The Show content creator, CBrev is that you?? Gunna be rolling Shaman for the first time so your videos have been super helpful. Thanks! EDIT: Dude it is you!! Your WWBD series helped me out sooo much as a newbie. Love ❤️
Windfury might feel good when you get a proc, but oftentimes it's just overkill. Rockbiter is the same dps increase on average without the randomness and the large amount of overkill. Flametongue is best on rock elementals
I love playing enhancer and even enjoy leveling him in vanilla. The sad thing is, once you reach 60, you turn into totem twisting machine with no proper damage cooldows or otherwise. Just wish they would make him more interesting, as he is in tbc/wotlk.
Hard toss up between shaman and warrior for classic. Both are good pve and PvP options. If they don’t agree to duel spec or cap the respec cost to 1 gold like sod is I can’t see even wanting to play until tbc drops..
Elemental owns in classic pvp,you will be asked to heal in raids and dont pvp as enhance until classic tbc thats when enhancement shaman owns with dual wield and double windfury. Thats all you need to know.
Brrevs this time in classic I plan to levelup with 2/3 friends, most of them playing melee so I thought of Shaman, drop them Windfury and heal dungeons. Do you think on that scenario I should play Restoration? Or would it be better to go Elemental? Edit: I have never played Shaman before
Go enhance, Just have a set of Int gear to wear in dungeons. In classic I ran Enhance up to 60 then went a 025/26 build which allowed me to solo content and also heal dungeons and raids with just a gear swap. GLHF
I agree, run enhance and swap to resto or ele at 40-45 to finish out lvl 60. 60 you will want to be resto as a raider and everyone will want you and the rogue/warrior friends. I’m thinking of doing the same thing but it’s hard to dedicate until tbc since I’m currently seeing the content in sod as an ele shaman.

Super useful on a pve server! PvP server you better start somewhere safe or just pray you aren’t getting ambushed lol.
Also use the macro that allows you to cast it repeatedly so you can look around and travel miles with it.

my duo wants to roll shaman this time, good timing on this video.
The reason you build Agility on Shaman is because of Flurry. Boosting Crit chance means more flurry procs. You just have to know when to splurge on agility and when to do strength instead.
Can you get enough agi to make a meaningful difference in flurry procs while leveling?

Or play turtle wow
Elemental is extremely viable for PvP at 60.
We need tbc pre patch for vanilla, would make alot of classes better
you shouldnt be raiding as enhance most guilds will want you to heal as a shaman guilds mite have 1 enhancement shaman for the melee group.
@@hvdiv17 That was kinda my point :))
Can you do a UI setup? Maybe show resto tips and best addon for resto. This gonna be my first time playing this class.
Oh baby this man is JUICING THE FRESH FRESH content LMAO

Dual spec has been confirmed, just wont be in at launch, I assume it'll take some figuring out to get it to work in vanilla
Shaman bis class. Always roll orc enhance shaman. Big Pog hooah
Tauren shaman bis. Can reach through walls and grab people with big hammers + wf proc.
Boat from ratchet to booty bay would give alliance ptsd.
Downright wrong for shamans to gear str over agility.
Very great video!

Nice! what about talents?
Gj nice video for new players.
Those totem quests are rough...
Hey, you have a new follower on Twich !
played shaman in classic 2019, there was a macro that unsummoned your totems. maybe they fixed it
Brrevs this time in classic I plan to levelup with 2/3 friends, most of them playing melee so I thought of Shaman, drop them Windfury and heal dungeons.
