I have an am staff and he is the best dog in the world. He’s beautiful , silly , smart , loves to cuddle , loyal , just truly amazing . So many need good homes , highly recommend adopting . A life changer
My family had 2 AM Staffs, one passed away recently but we still got our boy. Both have been exceptional pets with lots of love and loyalty. They raised my nephew and were especially great with kids in general. They’ve only attacked people who broke into our backyard, which had happened twice where I live. They will protect their owners to the greatest extent, which is why they get a bad rep, because if they feel an ounce of threat, they will not hesitate to attack. You can’t blame a loyal breed for being loyal. I just wish people didn’t feel the need to clip their ears, cus they really do look better with their normal ears and have less issues.
Lol,,not mine,,she's afraid of her own shadow🤣 She barks, and looks inyimidating, but at the end of the day it's my doberman whose the protector~he's old and has hip dysplasia now but would go down fighting to protect me,to the death......ugghh,,I just made myself cry~!!
I agree. I had one when I was younger...family friends housed her for me, because my gram didn't want a "dangerous dog" in our home. That's the bad rep they get for their guarding instincts. I didn't even have her a year before that rep got her parent dogs, her, and the rest of her litter killed. Someone tried to break in, and the mother dog prevented it. Man called the cops, reporting vicious dogs. All dogs were seized by the cops and put down for being aggressive. She wasn't even a year old yet, and I had had her only a few short months. She was the sweetest thing...she was so afraid of thunderstorms that she would crawl up my shirt. But when she saw I was scared, too...she would growl at the sky protectively. She even tried to protect me from my own mom. She was a good girl. And I agree, OfficialNataly. They look MUCH better without their ears cropped. Mine had natural ears, and she was so expressive!
Absolutely the greatest breed. Have had many different breeds of dogs, over the years. My American Staffordshire Terrier, Gracie, and now my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Daisy, have been and are the sweetest, gentlest, most loyal companions I have ever had. Both were rescues. Gracie was rescued from a very abusive, neglectful situation, at the age of 4, and passed at age 15, having been my constant companion for over 11 years. Everyone who met her, fell in love with her. She was a great advocate for the Bully breeds, ad great family, companion and service animals! Daisy still has a lot of puppy in her, having come to me in 2018, from a Texas rescue, like Gracie. She was app 6 - 8 months old, house broken, but in need of basic training and socialization. She's very smart, learning quickly, and eager to please. She about 30% smaller than Gracie, who DNA teated 100% American Staffordshire Terrier. My some had a Pocket Pitty, rescue, who lived 14 years, and was as sweet as could be. My sister also has an American Staffordshire Terrier, rescue, who is about 11 years old, and a great companion, with a little higher energy level. You really can't go wrong, adopting an American Staffordshire Terrier, just do a visit, and if you have other pets, make sure they are compatible.
RENEE. COOPER; U Mentioned POCKET PITTY ,had. 14 yrs. I just recently became aware of such breed. I know of 2 kennels here in Fla. & they are small squat so low can hardly walk, & faces so pushed. , trouble breathing, didn't know possible live that long. They call them MICRO, & POCKET BULLIES & teacup I'm partial to BULLTER. (Tho show breeders went too far w/ egg heads ; down faces) they can't be coddled, be firm , not trusted w/ other animals, prey drive strong. Pit types do get bad rap. Get from breeders, with purebred AmStaff, Staffie.bullter, etc. U know what getting. Most pit types been mixed w/ everything, end up in shelters, if haven't been properly socialized, hard to adopt.
My female American Staffordshire Terrier Shy-lo is pure love obedience and obsessed with me! I'm a senior citizen live in senior community She was pet by 5 seniors this. Morning. They all marvel at her obedience and brindle tigerstriped beauty and rippling muscles
My service dog is a Staffy. He is the sweetest thing on earth. They are incredibly SMART but they STILL have that bully stubbornness to them. They KNOW what you are asking them to do, sometimes you have to ask several times. 😄😃🐕
I have 2 Am Staffs,,both rescues, both the most wonderful dogs I've ever had the pleasure to share my Life with~!! I will ALWAYS have one on my Life from now on.......
Me too! I was actually not a dog lover at all, and now I will always have an Amstaff Velcro Nanny in my life. I never knew that these loving animals could be such a wonderful companion!
Hasa Diga Ebowai Am Staff weren’t the so-called Nanny Dogs. The so-called Nanny Dogs was the Staffordshire Bull terrier from a portrait taken with children
@@rawjan39 well I'll tell yah what. My dog harbors those characteristics as an American StaffordShire terriers. Those traits were bred into the Amstaff when people came to America. They bred these dogs for all of those characteristics. I sincerely doubt that name came about from one picture. Regardless of the origin of the name, these traits are still present and very much a part of this breed's character.
Hasa Diga Ebowai The Nanny Dogs was just portrait that was taken with children. That’s all. You do know Am staff started out as a American pit bull terrier under the AkC. I have owned both Am staff and American pit bull terrier.
I come from a family of corgis, 6 all together. When I moved out, I can tell you that I felt empty. I knew I was going to find a dog sooner or later when I was on my own but didn’t know where to start, where to look, and what to look for. This was during September where I woke up and just decided to drive to my local shelter. When I walked in, it was during the late afternoon. I wanted to go later and see the gems the people missed right infront of them, knowing the puppies always get adopted first. When I walked down the isle there were about 9 dogs, all were barking and jumping on the fence gates then I came across one that was just in the back standing with a confused and empty look on his face. I didn’t approach him too quickly knowing he was already shy, so I just sat infront the gate and started talking to him. He didn’t really make eye contact but kept looking around as if he waiting for someone. He ended up sitting infront of me with his paws just underneath the gate. I started to pet his paw and he didn’t seem to mind, I asked a volunteer there and she said he was given up with his brother and were separated by adoption. They kept them both in the same cage hoping to be adopted as a couple, but the family just wanted the one. I damn near teared up. When I took him home he was shy, wouldn’t walk through any doorways, or even hallways. He stayed in my room most of the time and wouldn’t really leave my side either. I had to carry him upstairs because he was too scared and carry him in rooms because he wouldn’t after 30 minutes of patient attempts. I didn’t know if it was from abuse or abandonment related. He slowly Opened up and he is the best 25 dollars I’ve ever spent in my life, he’s so loving, loyal, a dingus and most of all my best friend. He was 6 months when we got him and now he’s 10 months so far! When I tell you he loves to cuddle, he will lay his whole body on me and keep his nose under my chin and stay there a good whole star wars movie length. He’s protective (not possessive) he’s very knowledgeable of all who’s around and will give 10000% percent attention on sus people until he knows there’s no threat. That’s not trained. That’s just his instinct. It’s even more shown when my girlfriend walks him. If he’s laying in bed with me during the day in a deep sleep, he’ll leave his spot where it’s comfortable to lay somewhere else in the house that’s far less comfortable like wood floors just to be in the same room as me. But I think that’s just the whole process of (adopting) a dog and teaching it confidence. I’m trying to see if I can find his brother but they can’t give information out. I would give anything for him to see his brother. His name is Sawyer-Joe! That’s him in my profile picture
Watching this with my two amstaffs lieing beside me. Great devoted dogs. Very loving. My boy can be naughty sometime. But he's young and has higher energy level than my girl.
I had an AM Staff when I was younger, physically he was a beast and loved to play hard. He was a bit goofy and a total marshmallow. He adored kids. This breed can get a bad rap but they're such loyal, loving dogs at heart
Wait, I am confusion. From what I had heard, they started off as show dogs moving away from the image and work that their ancestors did, especially fighting and the trait of being game, but it says here they were instrumental in the success of farmers and settlers for farming and hunting wild pigs and bears. I thought all the tough and risky jobs like that were what the Pit Bulls did, and that the Staffs were the ones people wanted to move away from that stuff. I thought the Pit Bulls did the bull baiting, bear baiting, and the hunting and had the gameness, but then the AKC said they were register Pit Bulls but had to change the name and distance themselves from all that risky stuff.
Correct the American stafordshire originated from American pitbull terriers game dogs. The Am Staff is off shoot show type. Jun 10, 1936 50 American pit bull terriers were registered under Staffordshire terrier. Colbys Primo was the first standardized model for the breed. Jun 1,1969 name changed to the American Staffordshire terrier to distance it from Staffordshire England and the English Staffordshire bull terrier.
@@davidbeckham526 the pit is a offshoot of the original British bulldog which was far from the squat animal bred today . These although having staff in their name are far from a Staffordshire definitely a pit line breed .

I adore this breed and this is my Amstaff. I am lucky to be enjoining his company for the past 11 yrs. He was a rescue and I acquired him free of charge. His my boy. Dino🥰
Hey Z, it was great talking to you the other night on the stream. Don't know what happened with YT but it was a good time. Love the AMSTAF video, great stuff as always. Can't wait for some of the new stuff you have planned. Hope you find someone with the knowledge and ability to assist you. ✌️
I love this dog breed especially in those colors. It's what I consider a traditional classic, elegant, old school dog breed. The American Staffordshire is not over muscular or skinny their bodies are just right.
100% agree with all that is said in this Video about The AmStaff I don’t know if it’s just my Dogs, but they are very aware of surroundings and quite Intelligent and catch on quick and are good workout buddys
I had an Am Staff and his name is "King". A very loving, smart, loyal, goofy and very loyal to his friends too. I miss him so much he died suffering from distemper since 2010. I never had a dog since.
@@Bushanie24 There's a difference between what the dog is fed, preventing the spread of unwanted dogs and puppies in shelters (spay or neuter), and something JUST for cosmetic reasons. There is no FUNCTIONAL reason to crop the ears on an Amstaff, only reason is for the aesthetic. Just accept that some people like the aesthetic of natural ears over cropped.
@@mandyrobbins1041 if you cannot control your dog from mounting/mating another dog then you are not a responsible owner and shouldn't have a dog in the first place sexually mutilating them is such a lazy cop-out i personally do not crop/dock or whatever but when people piss and moan about it i will always ask if they feed dry garbage road kill kibble along with sexual mutilation if you feel that way about spay and neuter i can show you entire communities of people that you would probably spay n neuter let me guess, you also vaccinate the crap out of your dog, ya know, just because the Vet said so do some research on what the vaccines do to these dogs
@Kurupt Force well for me, FOR ME PERSONALLY it comes down to responsibility control your dog. if your dog is humping (male) everything in site then you have no control over your dog and are an irresponsible owner. i will bend a little here, there is another way, for males it is like an ear piercing gun, goes agains his ball bag and bang, kills the sperm duct but he keeps his hormones to grow properly, dogs back end develops slower than the front end, so by spay/neuter you are preventing growth/maturity, meaning the back end isnt strong enuff to support the front end, good reason so many dogs tear their ACLs (knee ligament) from running and cutting/darting like dogs do
The most underrated bull breed. Most people now days are more into American bully and pittbulls . But an Amstaff is the most underrated bull breed and one of the best breed
My boy is Amstaff and boxer and I love the dude to death! Some guy was going to dump him off when he was only 8 weeks old, so we took him in and now he's 8 months and the best friend i could ask for. The loyalty is just insane with him. He always wants to stay right next me outside, and never leaves the yard when I have him out there unless he's walking out of the yard with me. Best damn breed period imo
My husband passed. The American Staffordshire Terrier I own saw his body. She didn't play or smile for 6 months. She's just smiling again. I can't leash walk way to strong.
I'm so sorry for your loss...have you tried a Haiti harness? I have a AmStaff rescue who was never leash trained. He dislocated my shoulder on our second walk because...squirrel lol The Haiti clips at the chest and back and you steer him like a horse. When he pulls, the chest clip uses his momentum to swing him around towards you. It's a short leash so heel training is a plus. Good luck!
Amstaff is love, they are very well behaved easy to train and perfect guard 💂♀️ people compare them with APBT and take them for ill tempered breed but trust me this breed is really friendly
Nobody mentions the BULLTERRIER, 2 varieties, colored & white(has egg shaped head , ears are natural up, ) is the dog in Bud lite commercial. Not as popular, is good family dog. Also comes in miniature
That’s interesting you said they breed the gladiator out of the Dog. I had a Am staff that was a family dog but he fought so many dogs when we had him. He would climb the fence to fight my neighbors Akita and I can’t tell you how many raccoons and possums he slaughtered. But very loving and absolutely loved to be around the family. He lived and fought until the age of 19 and was still fighting when he could barely walk and see. My best dog I ever had. Rip max.
I adopted a dog from the humane society, they said he was a lab. He's 13 months old now, and we now know he's amstaff mixed with tosa and german shepherd lol amazing breed!!!
I had one her name was Gema, she was grey with a white belly. She was a great dog, only problem was we got her off the street so she was really aggressive towards my German Shepard. Because she had to starve whenever she ate she would throw up. One day she started puking up blood and towards the end of the day she could barely move. When we went to sleep we put her in her room that has her kennel in it, on top of a rug and we put a blanket over her. I woke up the next morning before the rest of the family and went to check on her and she was gone. We don’t know what happened to her we think she might have eaten a chicken bone or the night before it started we gave her some Advil for something unrelated I believe.
Some of these dogs into the 1970's were still deep game and built better than these Am Staff's of today. A friend I knew had two that were heavy Tacoma/Doyle crosses with about one third of Mr. Howard Teal breeding. Both were rough, tough, deep game dogs. These Am Staff's of today are the pretty show dog versions of their former American Pit Bull Terrier ancestors. Some of the prominent dogs in this breed is the Earl Tudor's Black Jack line. Mr. Tudor got these dogs from Mr. F.G. Henry that had a kennel in Canada. Mr. Henry's dogs were imported from England. The Am Staff's have a much stronger influence of English imported dogs from the past. Than the American Pit Bull dogs of today which have more Feeley/Lightner/Colby/Armitage/Clark etc. Mr. Maurice Carver bred some of Mrs. Peggy Harper's Am Staff into his Dibo-Black Widow-Ed Crenshaw line . Results were very powerful dogs with ability and gameness. My Colby-Heinzl dogs were a deep game line with great air. But lacked that powerful lugging tensile strength that my Carver dogs had.
I rescued my am staff about a year ago and his name is Clyde. He is the sweetest most lovable dog i have ever meet. He sleep behind my head every night. Or in my arms. His nick name is Pooh bear cause his coat reminds me of Winnie the Pooh.
In Australia there are so many fake American staffies.. with papers etc. by fake I mean they selling expensive as amstaffs weighting 45kg with very docile mastiff like temperaments. If you’ve ever been around or owned real American staffies you would know they are high energy athletic and usually max out at around 30kg. I don’t trust papers anymore that’s why standards are so important, find an American staffy that fits the standard weight height and shape, than see how the parents behave. So no they haven’t changed the standard weight.
I'm going to have to say the Amstaff because that's what I have. I've never had a dog that was so close to human. My girl is a beautiful family member.
If you live in the Barcelona area and are looking for an am staff, I've just seen a 9 month old female named Lola is up for adoption at SPAM Mataró. I really wish I had the space for an am staff but I live in an apartment so no can do. If you believe an am staff is right for you, I think you should give Lola a chance. At 9 months old she's officially still a puppy as well.
I’m thinking to get an Am staff or a staffy , are they good for a first time owners ? I’m doing my research and I know the amount of time and energy it takes to raise a well trained dog , which I’m willing to take .
Riley my am staff is a little princess. She loves playing with me and my family. She plays well with her older sister Aeris a german/aussie shepard mix. She sleeps at the foot of our bed facing the door being sure to touching both my wife and I. Riley is a sweetheart and in less than 3 months is an irreplaceable member of our family. Honestly, at first look for me at least, there was no question about her place in my family. She wasn't shy with me at all, she just wanted to be loved. When I crouched in front of her she snuggled into me and licked my chin. I sat down and she climbed into my lap like she belonged there. It is obvious she loves us and just wants love in return, she is perfect for our family.
owned 1 about 30 yrs ago very loyal, easily trained & very calm around other dogs & people, wouldn't say an excellent choice for guard dog over all good dog (mine did develop wabblers, upper spine defect) vet said unusual for this breed, normally dogs like danes or dobies
Are these good athletic dogs that you could do some bitework agility etc? Would a amstaff protect me because i kind of need a dog that will protect me now 😂
Definitely. I'm no professional trainer or anything, but I get my 8 month old boy outside and sprint with him, or should I say make him chase me down, and try to juke him out as long as I can before he can grab my shoe🤣 not in an aggressive way though, he knows better than to get carried away. But when I do the same with a rope or some sort of toy he definitely goes to work on it😁 i have to try to match his energy and wear him out every night or else he won't let me go to sleep until I do take him outside to play for a while. As for the protective part, yeah he doesn't like strangers too much, but he doesn't go after people on his own either. I can have him outside all day with no leash and he won't bother anyone, but if we're out at night and he sees someone he goes into alert mode, stands tall and barks until I make him stop🤣
It depends on individual dog. Some are used for k9 protection. All Germ. Shep. Or Malinois can't be made to attack, some naturally timid have to be bred. for generations. U can teach a poodle to attack if has natural agressiveness. Do research on kennels that breed for specific traits. Pit type dogs be more animal agressive , then. Ppl.
Can you do a really controversial video on the APBT. I know you have some great ones already. Can you collaborate with pappered breeders with ALL of the different family lines, including the incredible red nose which are typically the largest Can you also find the smallest PUREBRED female and the largest PUREBRED male and compare them side by side lol I ask because I have a tiny unpaired female buckskin and I'd love to see this Not just one please...one from every family and one from every weight class, tiny , average and big. AND I would like to see footage a actual game bred too. Heck. Make it an hour long if you need to i don't mind lol Great Work!!! Hail to Rotty King :) And please Sir, no bullies in this video 🙏 lol Just APBT Bullies can have their own video for less select and more random stuff.
I would go to Apbt Canine Athlete . He goes live a lot just subscribe to his channel. As fas as Red Nose goes . Those dogs are called Old Family Reds. I don’t know what you mean by the largest . Apbt are 30-65. I had RedBoy/Jocko bloodlines and they were around 50-55 lb
Charity Blackwell most of Eli bloodlines runs small. Turtlebuster and Redboy /Jocko bloodlines have some size . Just to give some examples. Those Old Family Reds look into Wallace, Wilder and Hemphill those are Old Family Red(Red Nose) Breeders
head of hyenas have you seen english staffs? They have a trapizoid shaped head with a slightly more squished snout whereas am staffs have squarer head and slightly longer snout
Ha! The amount of natural dog aggression and animal aggression varies tremendously between different breeds as well as between different individuals. Anyone who has seen a few different dogs interacting with each other will realize this. Not all aggressive dogs are abused or mistreated. Proper training with proper socialization can only do so much. Of course, if the dog is ever put in a situation where it's natural instinct kicks in and someone gets hurt, that's 100% the owners fault.
You do a great job. However a game bred dog isn’t about breeding for aggression! The absolute best dogs have drive with restraint! A dog bred for aggression isn’t necessarily a game dog ! As an overly aggressive dog may not possess the intelligence to know how to win a fight ! An animal aggressive dog is not balanced by nature! Read about the great APBT Dibo that figures in many “American Pit Bull Terriers” pedigrees! Love your channel keep doing wha you do! Much love
JUVIE; Look up history of pitbull, bull baiting. Long complicated story. To make it short; AMSTAFF, is a purebred AKC reg. & can also be UKC registered as a American Pitbull Ter. (APBT) AmStaff. & Staffordshire terriers were actually same dog ,were split to 2 dif. breeds. Am Staffs ears are cropped for showring( as u see here in video) Staffie not, today's Staffie. & Amstaff very similar, , Amstaff taller, not have bowed legs like Staffie. "Pitbull" just term for any pit. type dog. Then there are bullies, Am. bulldogs, they all trace ancestors to original OLD ENG. BULLDOG. & ENG. TER.
I use to ask that same question. A detailed eye is beneficial as they are different in ways that makes an AmStaff unlike the APBT. City breeders have the APBT available so frequently you have to know they are the feared ones that are dog aggressive and lives on chains tied to trees, has skin lesions, and too fat or chunky due to lack of exercise and activity. You can tell the AMSTAFF differences after you arrive to the kennel in the far suburban areas they are usually bred at. Some cites and HOAs have tried to ban them because of uneducated, fearsome, mongered, attitudes brought on by attacks by dogs of any breed reported by news outlets. Pay close attention to what adoption services claim also. Rarely, if ever will you find an AMSTAFF TERRIER in a cage waiting to be saved. Pitbull terriers and mixes, will have you scratching your head. Experimental mixes are good dogs though.
@@terrybrewer3162 people are still unsure by your "staffie" designation. These days, the bullie that can't walk up the stairs, or lacks agility are to me a designer style of stupid, IMO. A lot of people have had an AmStaff and thought they had a bull baiter pit bull for the fight in it, and we're disappointed they had a companion dog of the AmStaff character. AmStaff Terrier are the best of the short hair type. Schnauzer of any breed the best of medium coat type. IMO of ownership.
My am staff is amazing she is a rescue but she is amazing she is animal aggressive but we are training that out of her some say it's not possible but it is with a well mannered animal she is gorgeous so proud protective of us and her family but so sweet. We have the aggression pretty much licked as she isn't interested in other dogs cats or home pets pretty much just birds rabbits ground hogs and other small rodents and such but as a breed she is amazing
High energy but still depends on the breed type. My boy is younger but has a higher drive and energy than my female. They still happy to lie around but need a 1hr of play.every day. I flirt pole with mine and that's enough to settle them
My girl is a complete couch potato. I haven't had her genetically tested but she is predominantly an Amstaff. She's an extra large Amstaff at nearly 70lbs in peak condition. Now after a year of being an ESA dog and her momma's inability to say no to those gorgeous eyes she's leveled off at nearly 80. Mine is a full body cuddler at all times which helps my anxiety. But when the kids are around she's as high energy as they are. Mine is always eager to learn and to please me. She's also a jealous girl. If I give love to anyone else, she has to be in the middle of it. LoL. Spoiled rotten. LoL
AKC breeding has made these too big for my taste. Pit Bull type dogs do have an animal aggressive tendency, but they are wonderful with people. Problems happen when the owner doesn't understand this and take the necessary precautions. I've had 2 and did not train either of them to be aggressive, but would not let them run free in a dog park without extremely careful supervision.
Thank you! I'm so fed up with the "no dog is born aggressive" PC BS. Good on you for knowing what kind of dog you have and acting to protect your dog and keeping it out of trouble.
Really want to know if anyone’s amstaff has any skin issues or allergies or such? I have ran a full allergy test on my dog. He’s 6 now and still breaks out a lot.

Just lost my AmStaff Bailey, after im done grieving all i can think of is restarting the journey with another AmStaff.
I am brazilian and I have one. Ever since I got this dog I have been in love with her. I love her so much. My sweetest 😍
My dog 100.8 lb female hugs me and puts paws on shoulders and holds me down. I can't escape the love!
Nice dog 😊
@2:26 love how her tail hangs, tip of the tail points straight down, beautiful topline and angulation
Watching this with my two amstaffs lieing beside me. Great devoted dogs. Very loving. My boy can be naughty sometime. But he's young and has higher energy level than my girl.
You definitely got that goofy part right too🤣 my boy kills me sometimes🤣
I had an AM Staff when I was younger, physically he was a beast and loved to play hard. He was a bit goofy and a total marshmallow. He adored kids. This breed can get a bad rap but they're such loyal, loving dogs at heart
Adopted my am staff / husky/ pit/ chow mix after my staffy mix passed. She is a great kind lady. I appreciate her
Wait, I am confusion.

His my boy. Dino🥰
mine is an amazing dog that is brilliant in all aspects. He's so loyal, loving and is goofy as hell.
I had an Amstaff for 16 years. Probably kept her alive too long as the last few months of her life were not good. She was the best dog ever.
100% agree with all that is said in this Video about The AmStaff
I don’t know if it’s just my Dogs, but they are very aware of surroundings and quite Intelligent and catch on quick and are good workout buddys
Finally something good to watch!
I had an Am Staff and his name is "King". A very loving, smart, loyal, goofy and very loyal to his friends too. I miss him so much he died suffering from distemper since 2010. I never had a dog since.

Pisses me off when owners clip their ears.
does it also piss you off when people feed their dogs dry kibble, (cancer in a bag) or spay or neuter (mutilate their sex organs)
Totally agree
@@mandyrobbins1041 if you cannot control your dog from mounting/mating another dog then you are not a responsible owner and shouldn't have a dog in the first place sexually mutilating them is such a lazy cop-out i personally do not crop/dock or whatever but when people piss and moan about it i will always ask if they feed dry garbage road kill kibble along with sexual mutilation
if you feel that way about spay and neuter i can show you entire communities of people that you would probably spay n neuter
let me guess, you also vaccinate the crap out of your dog, ya know, just because the Vet said so do some research on what the vaccines do to these dogs
@Kurupt Force well for me, FOR ME PERSONALLY it comes down to responsibility control your dog. if your dog is humping (male) everything in site then you have no control over your dog and are an irresponsible owner. i will bend a little here, there is another way, for males it is like an ear piercing gun, goes agains his ball bag and bang, kills the sperm duct but he keeps his hormones to grow properly, dogs back end develops slower than the front end, so by spay/neuter you are preventing growth/maturity, meaning the back end isnt strong enuff to support the front end, good reason so many dogs tear their ACLs (knee ligament) from running and cutting/darting like dogs do
My Kobi , is my boi and is the only child i need nowdays. Such a wonderful breed, i didn't realize this when i adopted.. Now i am AmStaff for Life!! 🐶
Great vid!!
Good luck!

Are amstaffs more similar to British staffordshire terriers or apbt?
Supposedly the amstaff is the offspring of a APBT cross with English staffy
I do love these breeds. I am a fully devoted Rotty guy. However, I prefer the Staffordshire Bull Terrier over the AMerican Staffordshire Terrier.
I have a beautiful red brindle English Staffy

Zeke let's see a video on the English Staffordshire terrier please.
Can you do a APPDA/PSA video
Such a beautiful breed!!
Informative.Could you make a review for shihtzu
You forgot white ❤❤❤❤❤
I rescued my am staff about a year ago and his name is Clyde. He is the sweetest most lovable dog i have ever meet. He sleep behind my head every night. Or in my arms. His nick name is Pooh bear cause his coat reminds me of Winnie the Pooh.
How are they doing in apartments Cause my family is considering to get one
How about training? Are they easy to potty train etc?
Has the accepted breed standard weight of the AmStaff increased over the years?
Mones a 100.8 lb female rescue. She's ideal size has lab in her. I heard outsize one's are mixed

Gotta set boundaries and start training right away. They are very confident dogs
Goofy loyal and loving. That is the Amstaff
Is it dangerous or aggressive?

My big blue amstaff soo loyal and protective and such a brut of muscle
Awesome video 🔥🥵
I love my staffy so much she is the best
owned 1 about 30 yrs ago very loyal, easily trained & very calm around other dogs & people, wouldn't say an excellent choice for guard dog over all good dog (mine did develop wabblers, upper spine defect) vet said unusual for this breed, normally dogs like danes or dobies
Are these good athletic dogs that you could do some bitework agility etc? Would a amstaff protect me because i kind of need a dog that will protect me now 😂
Yes I have am staffs the will protect have one I breed for my daughter K9 trained for guard and security
Ppl.
True athletes!

no dog is born aggressive the owner is to blame, pitbulls are also wrongly accused !!
They were bred to fight in pits it's in their genes.

You do a great job. However a game bred dog isn’t about breeding for aggression! The absolute best dogs have drive with restraint! A dog bred for aggression isn’t necessarily a game dog ! I love my amstaff very beautiful smart
I’m new to the dog community and I was wonder what’s the difference between and Amstaff n pit bull?
JUVIE; Look up history of pitbull, bull baiting. Long complicated story. To make it short; AMSTAFF, is a purebred AKC reg. & can also be UKC registered as a American Pitbull Ter. (APBT)
AmStaff.
Pay close attention to what adoption
services claim also.

What their energy(daily exercise required) level is like? Aspecially interested compared to doberman
LoL
I have an am staff mix of some sort and she is very high energy but will kinda just follow whatever I’m doing
i loves this breed! but i like them with floppy ears lol
One correction: it's pronounced 'Staffordsher' or '-shur.'
Thanks I was saying wrong all this time
AKC breeding has made these too big for my taste.
