There are events that one never forgets. Her deafh is so close to another tragic event close to me. I live in NYC where hee funeral was held. About two weeks later 9/11 happened
Im not sure when DMX and Aaliyah became good friends. It may have been after they starred in a film together? All I know is that as a tribute DMX named one of his daughters Aaliyah in 2011
Great reaction. I can see you really appreciate her. Sweet to see. When you have a chance take a listen to 'I Care 4 U' by her. You will love it I'm sure! Thanks for sharing with us.
There is a remix to this song with Jay Z. I dont know if youve heard the song or seen the music video "Four Page Letter" and "Hot Like Fire"(remix)? Some people in the video were r&b artists you maybe unfamilar with like Tank, Jaheim, Tweet and rapper Lil Kim and actress/rapper Queen Latifah. Rapper Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz and Quincy Jones were preaent as well. Static Major who was a rapper, singer and songwriter for Aaliyah was in the video too. He cowrote many of her hits like "Are you that Somebody", "We need a Resolution", "More than a Woman", "Rock the Boat" etc He also worked with other artists like rapper Lil Wayne and Drake as well as Brandy. Sadly he passed at the age of 33 in 2008 due to a botched medical procedure he had done.
Still makes me sad to this day. She's truly missed.
More Aaliyah 🙏🏾 RIP Babygirl, DMX, & Static Major
Yesss😭❤️

Yes! It was a very dark and confusing time.
😢😢😢This destroyed us. RIP Aaliyah and DMX ❤❤❤
RIP baby girl
Great reaction , fun fact Aaliyah is the one singing that song but she recorded it base on a relationship she had with a guy from school😃😃
that's not true the song was given to her by the producer who wrote the song about his love life.

Ahh, I didn't know that - that's great
I first saw this clip embedded as a digital edition bonus track on that self titled Aaliyah album on CD when it was released -felt very emotional.
I cried my eyes out when this first dropped. I grew up on her. She was just 3 or 4 years older than me. She was Beyoncé before Beyoncé 💯💪🏽

The speech DMX did at the beginning was actually much longer 😢
The guy in the beginning is DMX and he has passed away too. Couldnt beat his demons 😢
Oh yeah, I know DMX - I didn't know he had passed though! So sad
😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
I bought the album and the only song I didn’t like and skip was rock the boat
That's my favorite. 😂
Her brother was in the video too towards the end. Curly hair at 4:14
@@sxm76That's not her brother. I think that's one of the guys that hosted an entertainment show
