In this video, we share our dinner with you at the Test Kitchen onboard the Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady. This restaurant is a play on molecular gastronomy and provides a SIX course pre-fixe meal.
The servers ask if there are any food aversions or allergies and whether or not you would like to purchase the optional beverage pairing. They have 4; wine pairing, beer pairing, cocktail pairing, or a non-alcoholic beverage pairing. We opted for the cocktail pairing!
This meal (not the beverage pairing) is INCLUDED in your cruise fare! It is not specialty dining!

The moment they would’ve set an egg yolk in front of me, I would’ve had to get up 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You are some BRAVE souls!
I couldn’t do it because I don’t like peas but Terry actually enjoyed the egg. Said it was smoky and tasted like a salad dressing with the crunchy peas 🤔🤔

Oh dear heart 🥰 you have our sincerest prayers and hugs. Technically the egg was cooked (cured/smoked) but I didn’t eat because I don’t like peas 😂
I'll probably order the alternative for the egg.

It’s delicious but they are very accommodating if there is something that you don’t like.
I like that you can do cocktail pairing instead of wine. Hubby and I are not big wine drinkers. Addy is too cute waiting for Terry to say “boop”. Great video guys. Breaking down the Test Kitchen. Awesome.

That looked so very interesting. I am a real foodie. I will try anything. I would love to try that dessert. I don't like bananas and I am not a big chocolate dessert person. But Terry made it look so good.
It was CHOCOLATE! I am not a big chocolate person either so I could only take like two bites but it did match the cocktail well. 🤗

It’s not raw. It’s cured and smoked. Definitely cooked but runny. There’s a difference ☺️
Although I’ve never done it, it reminds me of the Chef’s Kitchen experience on Carnival. Looks great. Terry with that egg though! LOL!!! I’d be the same. The venison presentation was interesting. That Old Fashioned did it for Terry. Looking forward to more videos from this trip!
Kinda like Chef’s Table but more laid back. 👍🏽 the food was great and yes, Terry was in a happy place when they served the old fashioned 😂 thanks for watching

Just off Scarlet: try to eat at Wake Steakhouse for Breakfast & lunch, as well as once for dinner. Italian was truly fantastic, as was Mexican & Korean BBQ!
For our next go round we are going to try the wake for dinner. Definitely have to try the Italian. Must go back to pink agave!

absolutely! one whole option for Test Kitchen is vegan/vegetarian. one whole restaurant is vegan/vegetarian (Razzle Dazzle) and every restaurant onboard has vegan/vegetarian options. 👍🏽

Hi! Were the drink pairing options an up charge or included ?
The cocktail pairing was an additional $35. They also had wine pairings and non alcoholic pairings as well.
Addy, did they give you the option for the egg course or did you have a food allergy so that’s why you got the gazpacho?
At the beginning, the server asks if we have any allergies or food aversions. I told him that I do not like peas, so they brought me the gazpacho as a substitute 👍🏾
