- One of the most unique dining experiences onboard Virgin Voyages is the Test Kitchen. You only get a list of 6 ingredients and they surprise you with the experimental food they’ve created.
While not every dish was our favorite, the overall experience was wonderful and most of the courses were delicious.
The Mushroom course was really interesting with how they made the Paté, if you don’t like funky textures it may not be something you enjoy. The flavors were really good.
The Scallop dish was also good but the real winner of it was the broth. It was so good we would have licked the bowl if it would have not made us look like animals.
Venison and Beef course with the Potato was also amazing. Good, strong flavors that melt in your mouth. Adding the chocolate added a whole new layer and texture to the taste.
Of course the dessert was on point. Chocolate, delicious, coconut, layers, we could have eaten a few of these!
The Pea course wasn’t great and the Blue Cheese Course was a very different texture.
Overall, we highly recommend this and think you should try this on your cruise. You can also add the drink pairing for only $35!!!

i dont think that we will go here on our cruise, im not very adventurous, i have a very sensitive tummy, unless my fiance wants to go, i will. i just would not have the egg yolk on the peas, nor eat the mushroom, seafood, or cream cheese sections of the menu, they would have to cook my beef well done if possible, then the dessert id love :) maybe they can just give me the dessert for every course hehe. i would just go to the galley afterwards if still hungry :)
They do have 2 different menus and it changes while you're on the ship. You could always talk to them ahead of time and see what they will be serving. The nice thing is you could definitely do one of the other restaurants. We had to skip Razzle Dazzle for dinner because we didn't have enough nights to do all of them but that has gotten great reviews for dinner. The dessert was really good. The galley had awesome food and the desserts up there were really good also. What are your favorite foods to eat?
home cooked or pub style meals. just something nice and simple. on virgin i dont even know what most of the meals are, ive never heard of 90 per cent of the food that they talk about in the description of each meal. im not adventerous in my eating at all. so this cruise im really pushing myself out of my comfort zones in everything from the food to the entertainment to the raunchiness of the cruise. its our honeymoon cruise, so im very excited for it, and im hoping that ill love it, but just not sure@@magicalkeysvacations

awesome im hoping so :) im very excited for it :) were cruising on resillient lady on december 16th for 5 nights, so just before christmas :) im wondering if virgin will do the ship up with christmas decorations like the standard cruise lines, im hoping that they will but i wont be surprised if they dont@@magicalkeysvacations

I bet I cook better than that "fine dining" bs and I am just a regular student from Europe. I can tell by just looking at it. It's hilarious how people fall for that.
This looks like rich people food, small portions high prices in a fancy restuarant.
It definitely does but it's all included with the price of your cruise! So you're getting Michelin Star food for almost nothing on this ship. And it's all pretty good.
