I've lived in Italia, Israel, and Europa...when I return I take a carry-on only.
It's amazing what you can do with a dress, a pantsuit, 2 T-shirts; 2 pairs of shoes, a hat, a jacket, a scarf, and jewelry. No one cares if you wear the same outfit over and over; just be you!
Packing too much clothes, purses and shoes. You only need one backpack and one purse. Pack one pair of sandals and tennis shoes. . Pick up some inexpensive flip flops in Europe to pair up with swimwear. In the future consider replacing costume jewelry with fine jewelry. It’s worth the investment buying classic diamond studs or beautiful pearl earrings. Then they can be passed down to your daughters.
Every woman needs a red dress, perfect Sezanne pick! Love your high low combos, you shop like we do! Have fun!
You are right about white pants. It does go with everything and it’s overlooked. I’ve always been intimidated 😂 by it because I thought, no way I can keep it clean. But it’s doable.
The secret is that Tide Pen! Who knows what's in it? Some miracle goo! But I always pack 3 of them, because everyone in my family steals them! LOL!

Sounds like a great trip. Cooking school in Tuscany is great, sometimes corny, but fabulous food, and sights. The local artisans are amazing. What an adventure for the summer! Enjoy and we are looking forward to the updates.

As you will be around touristy places in Paris, I would definitely recommend a crossbody bad vs your backpack. The pick pockets are no joke. Even to work, we usually only carry non valuables in our backpacks and carry an additional crossbody bag.

Ha yes! It was the "master plan" my husband and I used to dream about when we first got married, and little by little we never gave up on it, and made it happen :) But it does take a lot of planning and hard work but it does pay off! DREAM BIG! xxoo

The Pack With Me videos are so much fun and so reasonably priced and curated. Life in France videos are dreamy. Such a weird thing but about 20 years ago, I loved a design item your dad did on HGTV. I needed to know the swatch and he was so kind to respond. I loved his show.

I’d LOVE to see videos on how you budget for 6 weeks in Europe, and even a video or video series going back in time, telling us how you and hubby scrimped and saved and bought you place in LA, then recently bought your French house. What you have and did is mine and my husbands dream!!! But with 4 kiddos, it is tough! But we are tough and can do it!! Love you and your channel. We don’t live too far from you in So Cal. A couple hours at most. Would be super fun to meet you one day!!! Maybe in France!? 🙃😆😙 🇫🇷 Happy travels!!!

Beautifully curated pieces. Every piece screams European style. Summer months in Europe are filled with skirts and flowing dresses and you’ll hardly ever see a woman wearing shorts. I tend to pair my dresses and skirts with fashionable sneakers because of the amount of walking I do. I save the nicer shoes for evening. I was wondering when you were going to show us a jacket because rain is always part of summer, lol
Oh yes especially in France! You can experience a whole year of weather in one week, especially in Vendee ha! :) Gotta have the rain coat! :)

This year I’m committed to changing my color pallet. Doing more beige tones, whites, with some black and dark blue. Big change from the mostly black I used to do.
I think the change just makes it more easier to coordinate. Simple and fresh.
Yes It's nice to have some lighter colors that also coordinate with black! And you cannot go wrong with white and beige! :)

Love this, you seriously saved me last year when I was packing to go to Paris with a carry-on. I was determined not to be frumpy but stay cool for the warm temperatures too.

I bought last year’s model of the black and nude sandals at the end of the season on clearance. Walked by and happened to see them and grabbed them. Love them! They’re such a simple, classic silhouette and my heels are not as high as yours (this year’s model) which is all the more reason I love them.

If you’re packing a pleated skirt or dress, cut one leg out of a cheap pair of pantyhose or a pair with a ladder and feed the skirt thru the leg of the pantyhose. It keeps the pleats in place. This is an old hack I was taught by an old family friend when I was a teenager and that was in the 70’s and pleated skirts had just come back into fashion.
