She loves her bag, but she will have to give the shoes to Holly, she's enjoying wearing them until then. (Hark at me, who would have thought!) I love my elephant apron so much I don't wear it for cooking, just housework. Enjoy your week.
Hi Pene lovely to see you and your lovely mum to. I love to listen to you especially about the different history’s too. I wish could sew like you can they are beautiful xx
I so enjoy every segment. I am almost 69 from the US. You are lucky to still have your lovely Mom and Pete of course. I plan to watch every back episode. Thank you for sharing ! Pat
Hi Pene. Enjoyed this episode sat in the garden, crocheting the first of three baby blankets. Tilly looked pretty in her borrowed shoes and new bag. The leaf pattern on Holly's dress is a favourite. Made lots of baby blankets in the same pattern. Your mum is amazing, her chats are so interesting. Lovely floral footage, thankyou. Have a great week.🌷🌈
Hi Angela, How lovely crocheting in the garden, it seems just right at the moment. I too have made baby blankets in the leaf pattern. I never tire of it. Maybe that's why I like making these little clothes. I fear I'm developing an addiction! See you next week, enjoy the week and hope your health isn't too bad at the moment.
Lovely Vlog Pene and such a cutie is that Tilly xx well done she's so sweet :) such a lovely community of chums you are creating from all over the world how marvellous ! thank you xx
Thanks for a lovely episode, Tilly is adorable and fancy her finding the shoes and shoulder bag she does look smart. It’s so interesting listening to you and your Mum chatting she’s such a lovely lady. I still have my Mum to reminisce with and count myself very lucky ❤️😊
Hi Tracey, I know - Tilly is obviously nosey as I am! So pleased you can reminisce with your mum too. I've enjoyed finding out so much that I never knew.
Tilly is beautiful. What great company! Oh I do love listening to you and your Mum. She has an amazing memory 😊 What a legacy for Coco Chanel that her No5 perfume is still loved by so many - me too! The flowers are stunning - May is just the best month all round 😍
I always enjoy seeing you mom! My daughter in law has celiac and there are so many good recipes and good food that are gluten free. I am glad you can entertain and she can partake of the goodies.
Thanks Tina, It does feel good to be able to cook for her when she visits. When you change your diet if it works and you feel better it's not a problem but she was missing her cakes!
I love how you are bringing Tilly’s character to life! It really made me smile, to hear about her trying on Holly’s shoes and taking possession of the beautiful handbag! Of course, seeing your mum again also made me smile. Such beautiful photos at the end - and looking forward to hearing more about that visit next time!! There is definitely no such thing as too many flower photos - and, like you, I think May is probably my favourite month. Thanks for another lovely chinwag. xx
Happy to have you with me Helen. I've entered your world of make believe and quite like it there! Pete squirmed when he watched it! (I took no notice and believed in myself and Tilly too!!). I'm sad it's June next week - you have to wait so long for May again! See you tomorrow at mousie makes. Btw I recommended someone watch you. They live in the US but their mother came from North Seaton which I think isn't far from Whitley Bay. Told them of your film in a past episode. xx
Tilly looks very smart with her purse and shoes. Holly's dress has such pretty edging. Looking forward to her debut.😘 Funny that you should show that apron pattern. I've been thinking I want one of those cross over type.🤔 If you stop and think about it, living nearly 100 years is amazing. If I live to be 100, what events will have shaped my life? the events that shaped my grandparents' lives are different from mine, although they did overlap. We all have interesting stories to tell. I enjoy seeing your pictures. The photos at the end are beautiful. We are finally starting to green up although the apple tree blossoms have not opened yet. Maybe tomorrow. They are so close. Very late this year. Thanks for sharing. See you next week.
Hi Karen, I'm sure mum telling you her stories has jogged your mind with your own. I think that's why we all like a good story. Enjoy your apple blossom when it comes. I'm panicking because we are moving on to summer her and I love spring, yesterday was so hot. The thing is we had a hail storm last week just for a couple of hours. That why us Brits talk about the weather all the time!
well hello! i thought i'd start watching your newest videos for a change - for fear that i'm missing something! and i did - you've lost a hen...and i had no idea who you were talking to named tilly! loved the wedding photo of pete's parents - very glam. and loved as always, seeing your mum - now in the present time - and how much she's smiling in this video. so alert, so knowledgeable - today, i am watching the Trooping, honoring the Queen, but also thinking of your mum, the same age, and every bit a princess, is she. thanks pene!
She is and not being a toy maker before I find I do love her. She has a pair of shoes now. She just wasn't happy without any! She has a friend that will be making an appearance this week. Pete thinks I've gone potty (although he has suggested I knit the dog from the book!!)
Hi Pene. I have succumbed and ordered the book Tilly is from. I love all the little clothes. So cute. I was worried that as your mum's diaries had finished you wouldn't have your chats anymore. Very glad that's not the case as I find social history very interesting. Are you having a street party for the jubilee? We are away at a music festival but will definitely be adding a few jubilee touches. X
You won't be disappointed with the book. Great techniques and patterns. Everyone who sees Tilly loves her. I do think the wool she suggests is worth getting though. I am so pleased with it. I plan on getting up to the present time with mum!!! If she can remember it, we'll chat about it. It is so good for her and she loves doing it. I recorded a bit for next week's episode and she phoned and said, that's not quite right I want to say this and that so we are rerecording it! No street party here but the Queen has been so present in our lives, we are so connected aren't we. I have found a gorgeous cake recipe and plan to do that for taste testing in a future episode. Lovely to hear from you. Enjoy your music festival.
Another lovely episode. I love Tilly, she came out great, i'm sure the hedgehog will be just as lovely. My daughter has just been told to put my grandson on a wheat and gluten free diet, he's only 2 but she has been told to try it for a while to see if it makes a difference, and it has already! Were your cakes wheat free to? Hope you have a lovely weekend
Hi Maggie, I do love Tilly! I thought when I read your comment what a shame my flour was wheat but gluten free. Went and checked and no it is wheat and gluten free and honestly we couldn't taste the difference! The brand name is Freee. I can't wait to try more! Enjoy the week too.
I show you the dog in episode 49 Majella. George is gorgeous I must admit. He is knitted in the same way as the others. If you learn to knit and purl you could follow the pattern slowly. They are clearly written. Thanks for watching.
