Absolutely agree re the advantage being played after the knock on and then kicked away. First ref I've seen not call advantage over regardless of outcome. Dickson seems to have one or two of these per game .
No he was right advantage only comes if the ball stays in the field of play because it went out there was no advantage so went back for a scrum rightfully so.
The All Black wins aside, this was my best day watching rugby since 2009 semi. It was an amazing atmosphere in the ground and just like at Croker this was special to be at it. I was at 4 finals as well, and there has been grand slams and other big days, but it is these era defining, narrative settling games that live on in the memory.
I predicted a win for Leinster but you hey to have " everything " going fright for you . Leinster did turn up with there A game . Energy sapping , bruising , & everything else Leinster deserved there win . Truly a fitting game for a quarter final .
At half time LR were still in it but this Leinster side found a new gear every time they needed it. Very happy for Rose Byrne. He's under a lot of pressure and Irish fans are quick to call for his head anytime anything goes wrong.
As a Leinster fan I’m delighted but take nothing for granted the next match will likely be Northampton in Croke park and if we do the business there Quinn’s or most likely Toulouse in the final. Advantage wasn’t over because the ball went dead if it stayed in the firewood of play it would have been advange over at least that’s my view of it because no advantage accrued back for the scrum.

Just feel like a curse lifted .. Next stop Croake park which is a big deal 81000 stadium , we not normally welcome playing a non Gaelic sport . Last time I was there 2009 semi heniken cup Leinster v Munster which Leinster one and also the trophy will defo be there
Absolutely agree re the advantage being played after the knock on and then kicked away. First ref I've seen not call advantage over regardless of outcome. Dickson seems to have one or two of these per game .
Dreadful ref.. favoured leinster all afternoon
No he was right advantage only comes if the ball stays in the field of play because it went out there was no advantage so went back for a scrum rightfully so.
@@ciaranbrknot always the case. As stated above, most refs will usually call it over if the player gets the kick away and into space.
What a great game. Next stop , Croke Park 👍
I predicted a win for Leinster but you hey to have " everything " going fright for you . Leinster did turn up with there A game . Energy sapping , bruising , & everything else Leinster deserved there win . Truly a fitting game for a quarter final .
Nienaber a South African coaching Leinster. Seems like SA coaches and players are really sought after because they're essentially top class
Yep. they've a minset that is unmatched and it wins them WC's.
Croke Park, 82,000 capacity for Leinster v Northampton....Bring it on, it should be great fun.
As a Leinster fan I have to agree that the ref was on our side today BUT we have been on the wrong side of the ref many many times so I'll take it.
Feels sweet 😮
Marvellous performance indeed
Think some in southern hemisphere might have an opinion regarding the 2 best scrum halves in the world right now
It’ll only ease the pain if they follow through and win it!
The red was great
Despite being a munster fan and a fan of o gara when a player, i was delighted he was taken down a peg here. Has a bit too much to say on a whole lot of things for my liking. Has a bit of the jose mourinho about him. Needs to learn to zip it. Well done leinster.
Super result for Leinster, probably not the contest that what was expected, some injuries really hurt LR and some strange calls from Dickson, what must go through Luke Pearse’s mind looking at this performance 🤔, I was at this game his signals / decisions for some of this game really below level expected.
Eggchaser great rugby content.
as you said " ...a statement victory." Puts O'Gara back in his box for awhile, and I say this as a Munster supporter!! Well done Leinster & roll on CROKER!!! For those from UK that's the colloquial word for one of the biggest stadiums in Europe!! Croke Park.
It eases the pain until we get þhe 5th star.
leinster fan here. i was also bemused by that knock on advantage desicion. lowe was under zero pressure when kicking the ball so most refs would call that advantage over straight away. yet early in the 2nd half hastoy kicks with knock on advantage while james lowe is in his face and advantage is called over straight away.
