With how great these videos are, I'd honestly be surprised if you're not a pretty sizable channel within the next couple years. The climbing, the music, the camera work, and the editing are all top notch.
Really great video in all ways. Excellent area info, van reality and climbing sections. Good music choices too. Have fun and stay safe (wear a helmet.. it's never you until it is).
I love the quality of your videos, really good information, great camera work and great climbing as well. I'm really hoping your channel grows, you deserve it!
Really nice video. I went to chulilla in 2018 and climbed mostly in the pantano area, I struggled to find bad routes. Most of them were amazing. Some of my favorites from 7a to 8b were: El viaje a cuba 7a Richar line 7a Pompas fina 7a Sendero sinuoso 7a+ Camino de leche 7a+ Sendero luminoso 7b Los merenderas 7b El diablo viste de prana 7c+ Moon safari 7c+ Tequila sunrise 8a La montaña mágica 8a+ La bella protegida 8b All these routes are between the balcón sector and chorreras sector
Aaah awesome, thanks for the recommendations! I will be back there in a couple of weeks and will probably climb exactly in these sectors as it‘s a bit warmer now. I hangdogged my way up La bella protegida once and it seemed like an exceptional route! I will probably try to work it some more 🙂
Beautifully filmed and edited, Samuel! What drone did you use for climbing shots? The quality looks great and I am currently looking for some drone recommendations 😍
Thanks! As I‘m currently working as a tech editor, I have been testing a lot of drones lately 😄 At the moment, I would recommend the DJI Mini 3 Pro. It‘s super small, yet the image quality is pretty good and it has 10bit color in the D-Cinelike profile in case you grade your videos in postproduction. Or if you want to really go all the way, get the Mavic 3 Classic and film in DLog. It’s also easier to fly because it has obstacle sensors in all directions. But on the flipside, the mavic is a lot more expensive, bigger and heavier.
Hey. Great video, thank you for sharing! Actually your whole series is very nice. Would love to go to oltre finale after seeing your video on it! …we are heading to chulilla in 2 days with our van. I know it’s a tricky question but do you have any recommendations for nice calm and remote parking spots?
Thank you! As to the van spots, there are a few places that are more quiet. Just drive around in the planes of calderones and there are some smaller side roads and parking spots. Depends on the crowds though, sometimes there are just a lot of vans ;)
Thanks! There's a few recommended routes in the video description. In May, I guess you'll mostly be climbing in the canyon. There, I kinda liked the Masters sector all the way to the right. Those routes are still fresh whereas in sectors like Oasis, the 6s and lower 7s are already pretty polished.
Very nice vid ! One question ... how do you get you get your draws in ? Leave them up overnight , warm up go, stick clipping, adjacent route, top down, ...
Thanks! That depends a bit… if it‘s a pain to hang the draws, I sometimes leave them overnight. Usually though, I just make a warm up go out of it. Only thing to remember is to consciously take rests and not even try to have a proper go the first time as it will result in a flash pump every time 😅
Thanks! As we don’t plan to do this forever, we take the luxury of living off savings for the time being. Fortunately, it‘s really quite cheap to live in a van in Spain, especially if you cook your own food and if you can split the fixed costs for the car.
😀 Lemon Juice, Lemon Zest, Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, Honey and Baharat. And in the bowl there is Quinoa, Mango, Avocado, Dates, Spinach, Mint and Coriander.
I do have some theft protection. But also: Honestly, that would have to be one dedicated thief to track down a 7 year old bog standard renault trafic selfmade campervan with barely any valuables in it somewhere in the fields - I‘m not sure there is much of a black market for that 😀 meanwhile there is tons of brand new californias standing around that cost about 5 times as much. So it seems to me, if you are a thief, those present much better targets. But hey sure, there is a small risk left - for which I have insurance (I am Swiss after all 🤷🏻♂️).

The annotations on the cruxes was really cool.

Amazing video! You deserve way more subs. Quick question do you just go of of savings or also work to support yourself financially somehow?

@@samuelbuchmann sick! Huge inspiration haha you are living the dream... Keep going and your channel will blow up soon with this kind of quality!
Nice video, good quality shots. But how do you cook when it's rainy ? :p
Haha thanks! Short answer: We don‘t 😀 and if it rains for too many days, we move 🤷🏻♂️
Where are new videos!!!
Amazing video! What drone do you film with?
Thank you! I use a DJI Mavic Air 2.
Ok I have a question what’s in that dressing u putting on the quinoa
😀 Lemon Juice, Lemon Zest, Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, Honey and Baharat. And in the bowl there is Quinoa, Mango, Avocado, Dates, Spinach, Mint and Coriander.
70m rope go alright or bring an 80?
Bring an 80! 😀
What about the thefts? Are you not afraid to leave your car in such a wilderness?
