I know I'm late to seeing this breakdown, but I loved it! You nailed the comparisons for both of these guys, with Emery being similar to Zeke and Sanders' looking more like Gurley in style.
Emery is a better all around back and he fits Lsu system. Sanders is talented as well one cut runner with power he fits Bama style. Both will be productive but Sanders may sit a couple of years before getting an opportunity. Emery will play soon be Lsu use multiple backs and doesn't mind playing young players
Both these guys are amazing and I do like johns quick burst, but Trey Saunders catching ability is amazing. He could be like Levon bell, because of his gifts running and catching the ball. Gotta go with trey
I'm a Texas boy through and through, but this coming game vs LSU Sept 7th scares me to death. LSU is my sleeper to win the SEC this year. The amount of incoming talent they have arriving is absolutely scary. Not to mention Kardell Thomas who I believe is the best Freshman in all of college football. Best safety in college too, and a true freshman lockdown corner who could've started for LSU last year. And now they have this kid at RB. If they can get a QB to just not screw it up, they will be so very hard to beat.
Can't answer this question right now. Because if you remember everyone thought Fournette was the real deal, and looked better than any back in America. Then Henry goes on and wins a Heisman, and a Championship. You are watching high school film, the high school players Sanders is playing may not be as good as the players Emery is running against,or vise/verse. Ask this question after they got a year under their belts in college. Love the uploads, you do a great job!
@@TopBillinSports I know it's not serious, and I'm not taking it seriously. I just gave an honest opinion. Wich is true, but if I was to say right at this exact moment? What's up Murf, I have to go with Emery on this one. They both are going to be great backs in the SEC but that Emery puts me in the mind of Swift. Great comparison with Saunders reminding you of Gurley. I wish my DAWGS would have gotten at least one of them. Great video as usual GO DAWGS #RealMenWatchTillTheEnd
Great video. If LSU will have a great offensive line, Emery should have a record setting year. It starts with the O line, remember Fournette was in the top 5 for the Heisman until LSU played Bama and they held him to 38 yards. He ran over defensive backs, threw players off of his back, had players quit on trying to tackle him, and trucked a back at A&M so hard that the guy still can’t spell his name correctly. Time will tell, but I do believe that LSU should have a record setting year on offense, defense always sets a new record of some sort, DBU forever. Bama always has great backs, remember how Saban used to stack the backs when he was at LSU. It should be a great year with the SEC dominating again, with one exception, Clemson. I sure wish it was September already. Thanks.
John Emery really reminds me of a Saquon Barkley, LeSean McCoy or D’Andre Swift. Hope Coach O will give him a line and than he should be running around and over everyone.
lol - that's originally how I did it when I started this last season. A couple of them I'd make a pick only because I had already been public about my thoughts on said player. Thanks for the support, bro.

As a Clemson fan with literally no bias, before I hear your opinion.. I’m taking Emery over any RB in the past 3-4 years or so kid is a monster power guy that also has that Travis Etienne burst
Top Billin' Yes he has the quick cuts, but he can accelerate very quickly similar to Travis. All I compared to Travis was the burst. I understand his style is nothing like him

John Emery is a better all around back, running between the tackles, faster, quicker, better pass blocker. Sanders is only better as concerning pass catching because John was never used in that capacity.
Both of them are extremely shifty and agile backs. Trey is more of the back of the future who can run and not only catch screens but can split out the backfield to wide reciever. John is more of a pure running back in my opinion but can run screens effectively and maybe an occasional wheel route out the backfield. I think if they keep a good head on their shoulders, stay healthy, and keep improving we'll be watching both of them on sundays...

@@TopBillinSports Fair enough, imo he has better elusiveness than Emery, While Emery has the better burst/top end speed. Both are outstanding backs obviously. Emery reminds me of Swift with his one cut and go, Sanders reminds me of Kamara with his cutting/juking ability.
Yeah, I don't see much Sanders in Kamara, at all. And Emery is certainly not a one-cut-and-go type. I think people confuse having to stop to make jukes, with elusiveness. Top Billin' You right. But I’m going with my boy from the crib!!! I feel like he better than emery.. I feel like he was tested more and he produced.. this man was a freshman dominating in public school sports and Saban advised him to go to img academy .. out the backfield catching the back he better.. and I feel like he’s more elusive and runs just as hard.. and it will show
Emery with the speed edge for sure. I have heard he needs to work on holding onto the rock. The man no one is talking about is ... all man! Tyrion Davis Price! TDP.. TDP..! Verified 4.5 240lbs. Physical fast and I think a bit of a chip because not many talkin about him like Emery. Word is he looks game ready today. He’s on a mission!
I did not realize John was that quick. That burst was crazy. John looks to be the absolute truth but for me I gotta go with my man Trey Sanders. Love his overall vision of the field. He is a smooth glider that reminds me of cats I grew up watching like Dorsett and Dickerson. Trey also got some Marcus Allen in him. As for similar newer cats Murf's spot on with Gurley! Emery Jr. on tape looks explosive as hell tho', two different kind of backs but I will stick with Trey. On a quick different note, NBA should be ashamed of ruining Rauf's career. Watched him as Chris Jackson at LSU, friggin unbelievable player! One of the greatest crossovers. .ever. Purest shooter of alltime in my book, I will never forgive NBA, loved watching that cat!
Great stuff!! Way to hit on the content topic and then veer it in another direction!!! Take note of this, people!! Man, Abdul-Rauf was my guy. I loved reading about his story in elementary school and trying to cope his moves. Dude jumped super high on his jump shot, though, and that was tough to mimic. His handles were cold blooded and people forget he was in a dunk contest before...I loved that dude’s game!!
One reason you see many bust at RB is players are no longer athletically superior on every level in college as they were in HS. So one thing I keep in mind when looking at HS film is the competition level. According to Maxpreps and USA Today IMG plays a top 5 schedule, #3 hardest of any HS team per Maxpreps with no weeks off for a weaker team. This means the speed of the game and defense is as close to college level as you can get in HS. If Sanders played at an avg HS team his film would be even more impressive. Sander will join a RB unit that is in the discussion for best in the ncaa but he'll still get carries. The fact that he played the toughest teams in HS means his adjustment to the speed of the college game and SEC defense will be easier than for most freshmen backs. He's also physically ready for college and for his size has elite speed, agility, explosiveness, and elusiveness. His versatility in the pass game is a huge plus as Bama's offense will feature more passes to the RB with new OC Sarkisian calling plays. Emory is coming into a situation that is more likely to have more carries available and i'm sure he was promised carries so we will see more of him in year 1 unless injuries occur. As both these guys have elite speed and agility for college I think the thing that would separate them as far as production, efficiency, and performance will be vision, scheme, talent around them at OL and QB. I think Sanders has potential be one of Bama's best RB's under Saban and at the least will be all sec level. Sanders and Emory are different style backs and there's no way to truly say which is better or will be better.
Kyle Williams True that.. sanders comes from where I grew up at and just in his freshman year he damn near had 1100 rushing yards and 4 interceptions.. he then went on to IMG Academy where he crushed shit.. i feel like he will be a great Addition to Alabama’s backfield
Just from the film you showed us, John emery dominated this in every category aside from passing game impact. I think destrehan underutilized him but Trey was obviously ahead of him. Emery definitely looks like a zeke, Lynch type of runner And Trey is a Gurley clone with less acceleration
Sanders Played at IMG man that’s one of the best high schools in the nation he played against better competitors than Emory so I have to ride with Sanders both are great running backs tho
I don’t know. Might be awhile: LSU people aren’t supporting the content by signing up to the site, so I may move on from LSU content and find a more supportive team fan base. He’s a great prospect, though.
With A 53-25 Record Against LSU Can't Really Say It's Going To Change Anything Alabama Owns Death Valley But Emery Has A Bright Future Ahead For Himself
let me just say, in the second clip of Sanders starting at 2:04 ... the CB #13 completely gave up on making a tackle down the sideline when he had his best shot at bringing Sanders down. Just ran and then pulled up. the DB caught up to him, which makes Sanders' speed in that one clip, less impressive.
Hands down when the No. 1 prospect in America and top-10 draft pick, Leonard Fournette, came from that state, too? McKnight was the truth, but it’s certainly debatable.
Super break down video which shows this guy EMERY is crazy---way better than FOURNETTE,,, not saying LSU will beat UA-- b/c Saban knows how to stop your best player...but Emery's elusive style will be harder to defend than Fournettes power game: if coach O, like Saban always did at LSU, be a little unpredictable, eg, throw on First down sometimes,, LSU might slip by UA...
Man wonder what Emory thinking looking at UGA backfield now. He shoulda believed in himself. Cuz if Zeus ain’t Zeus, he definitely coulda beat out Herrien and Cook. Neither are slouches but they film ain’t look like Emory’s. Even as a mad UGA fan, I’m taking Emory but Sanders look special to. #godawgs
You must be on that morning' powder, and I ain't talking about Gold Bond's. James Cook was a 5-star whose film looked sick against really good competition. Hell, he went out to Bishop Gorman and got in that ass in Las Vegas. Played against IMG etc. Dude is Alvin Kamara, man.
Lmao boi u a fool! Naw I think Cook is electric, just getting that feeling he gonna be underutilized as a back. I think we gonna use him in the return game wingback and slot. His film is sick too.

You right.

Tua straight but he wasn’t better than jalen hurts point blank..
Trey Sanders is the better of the two. Both are great
Emery with the speed edge for sure.
Mandy Russum he’s ran under a 4.5 so I’ll say high 4.4 low 4.5
Kyle Williams
True that.. sanders comes from where I grew up at and just in his freshman year he damn near had 1100 rushing yards and 4 interceptions.. he then went on to IMG Academy where he crushed shit.. i feel like he will be a great Addition to Alabama’s backfield
Just from the film you showed us, John emery dominated this in every category aside from passing game impact. I think destrehan underutilized him but Trey was obviously ahead of him.
Emery definitely looks like a zeke, Lynch type of runner
And Trey is a Gurley clone with less acceleration
i think it has to go to John Emery
John Emery Jr
Sanders Played at IMG man that’s one of the best high schools in the nation he played against better competitors than Emory so I have to ride with Sanders both are great running backs tho
Zachary Evans
North Shore Mustangs
Houston
I like power backs
Hoping rb is the surprise weapon against texas
Texas stopped a better rushing attack in Georgia last year holding them to their worst yards-per-carry all year!
That burst at 1:39 had to be a camera glitch or he legit has a seventh gear.
?? Damn you’re on some old content, bro...
@@TopBillinSports i played so I be watching film lol
Say bruh when yu gon show Tyrion Davis-Price some love ??????
I don’t know. Might be awhile: LSU people aren’t supporting the content by signing up to the site, so I may move on from LSU content and find a more supportive team fan base. He’s a great prospect, though.
I’m rockin with trey sanders
#hometown
#joeboys
Trey has way more wiggle than John. So I disagree with you on that one.. John is definitely faster, but Trey is by far more shifty..
With A 53-25 Record Against LSU Can't Really Say It's Going To Change Anything Alabama Owns Death Valley But Emery Has A Bright Future Ahead For Himself
Trey Sanders 🌴🌴🌴
Emery Jr.
John Emory jr
Just make sure trey sanders doesn’t date his cousin.

Louisiana Sports fan- Disrespectful lame ass little trolling bitch. Gtfoh
Dumbfuck smh
John emery is more like Phillip Lindsay from the broncos
let me just say, in the second clip of Sanders starting at 2:04 ... the CB #13 completely gave up on making a tackle down the sideline when he had his best shot at bringing Sanders down. Just ran and then pulled up. the DB caught up to him, which makes Sanders' speed in that one clip, less impressive.
John Emery is a human joystick not even close
Not close? GTFOH and find another channel to be some super fanboy at.
Every one say emery is more polished but they are in collage so they are gonna get better
JE all day
Trey Sanders
LSU 🐯💪🏾
John was nice but when it comes to Louisiana high school football Joe Mcknight is the King hands down. Tray Sanders is better.
#TeamJohnEmery .
He is best beast
