- Hey friends! I'm back from a two month disappearance, for which I'm extremely sorry for not keeping in touch. Over the month of December, I bought a 1927 Steinert grand piano from my father who is a tuner and rebuilder by profession. As soon as he received the piano- in its original condition- he knew it was going to sound glorious after fixing it up. I trusted his word, and now the piano sits in my studio in place of the Steinway I was previously recording on. That piano was my sister's and has since moved out! I must say I'm so impressed with the Steinert's sound. I can't wait to hear what you all think! I have some tweaking with the mics to do, but otherwise I'm even planning to start uploading tracks to iTunes.
My inspiration for learning this piece was when I went to Carnegie Hall in January to the 30th Anniversary Distant Worlds concert. The orchestrated arrangement was written specifically for the concert! I fell in love with the theme and started working on the piano opera version. PS I got to meet Nobuo Uematsu, I'll plan to post a picture on my Facebook page later on!
Thank you all for the nice comments you continued to leave for me while I was absent. I'd like to spend some time reading and replying to as many as a can, and hope to get more comments here on my new video!!

I didnt know Celes could play the piano :D
7 people have no friends.
This is my favorite song from my favorite RPG of all time. I was 12 years old when I got Daryl's airship for the first time. The hope that I felt coming from this song and the characters shot out of nowhere from the hopeless despair that was present for so long in the new world everyone found themselves in. I hope you've played the game and know the scene. Thank you for covering this so wonderfully.
Beautiful piece
Magnificent
So sweet !!!
The scene where the falcon rises from the sea as this music is played after the melancholy music is the best scene.
This is why I respect piano players. Being an artist, it's that feeling when you close your eyes and you can see images from the performer. I see the sounds the emotions and passion, it truly is something people have to experience.
A FF VI song is always great to hear, especially when it's played by you.
This music moves me to tears. A sense of hope in the face of extreme adversity in a world where hope was all but completely lost..
Holy fucking shit.
As someone who doesn’t comment much. I really appreciate all your work and effort into this. I wish you future success on your future projects.
This are not tears in my eyes because of all the memories, who are coming up again...
The search is over. I found a new friend! Great work.
this gives me a marchy tune and then blending into a smooth mellow experience.
I AM CRYING LISTENING TO THIS
Your music is so amazing. I am a former oboist, I played principal oboist for three years at the University of Arkansas. Thank you for sharing your talent and dedication. Your performances are so peaceful and moving, my wife and I listen to them as I study my graduate school topics.
Teleported me back to childhood. So good.
Thank you for the best arrangement from Japan
Kara, this cover of yours is one of my favorite your ff6 covers. Honestly, I love this song more now as an adult than when I first played the game as a kid.
