I would disagree with the AGM in a lot of comments here, totally get the Idea but it would require quite more an agressive playstyle. I use to play the wildcat not in the first line - changing position quite often to avoid getting rushed by vehicles. From an objective and Team perspective I play the wildcat to supress enemy air supremacy - not to climb up the scoreboard. So triggering flares with my AA rockets does the trick for friendly jets and manpads. Well played mate!
Players who suggest AGM are not pure AA players and more of hybrid or IFV players, I don't believe they actually can scure the airspace using the main gun only, not anymore because AT HELI got buffed, 30mm got nerfed and jets can be opportunistic and join an on-going attack on AA, Wildcat can cut it only when there is no capable AT heli pilot and you still need to avoid or counter enemy ground forces.
If a helicopter is attacking, you should try to move directly towards them, you might live a couple of seconds longer. Sometimes that's all you need, and it usually forces them lower.
I loved this episode. Nothing feels better than taking revenge on enemy that killed you. Same happened to me with WC. Dude in Hannibal dropped bombs on me. I immediately spawned and took him down with Lis missile. Felt so good. Loved the way you took down the Tank.
Yep, tried both of the guns in this video, also I agree it definitely need mobility upgrade and all the maps need terrain clean pass especially the routes around objectives, there are lots of clutter that serve no purpose as cover for infantry and only act as not needed obstacles for vehicles.
The decent attack choppers know they can eat the 30mm and kill you before you can kill them. Switching to the 35mm will do the job, but then everything else becomes harder to hit. The wildcat gets stuck on everything so mobility is a huge pain, and the velocity on the 35mm rounds are way too slow, and its infuriating when it overheats lol. I used to pair an engineer with the wildcat, but on maps with limited moving space I find Irish is the only person suited for the job.
when i first started playing i used the wildcat a lot. im one of the players that joined on the 10 sale recently. i unlocked everything but stuck with the 30mm. it shreds close range. i also unlocked the 20mm flack on the jeep... holy crap that thing shreds. i find a lot of helis dont even realize until its too late and boom they are dead. i now mainly use the ram. it took me a long time to unlock the missle launcher but i've figured out how to aim it and it instantly takes down helis. also very good against everything else. almost t1 with it!
Well fought there... Feel the wildcat needs something now to help against a decent atack heli... woudn't go as far as giving it APS, but at least those 35mm need to fire for longer... Always felt that when i have the lead on a target they are close to overheating... And the 30mm needs to do the damage they once did to Atack Helis. That was an unecessary nerf, because they didn't take into account it's buffed weaponry. But yeah DICE....🤦🤷
The only way I have success against a good attack helicopter crew is with someone working the flack and machine gun, all three of us in coordination to take out the helicopter. Solo it’s a lot harder, nice play
Why don't you use Irish instead of Lis? The APS is really good against TOWs and engineers, you'll need even less repairs if you use it well. Merry Christmas btw 🎅
If a Heli isn't countered actively and continuously it'll farm the whole map infantry and vehicles, and if you play as AA being engineer or vehicle then that's your #1 priority. Nothing personal only business.
@@Raptor_i81 as an infantry player it’s not my job it’s my friendly vehicles responsibility. If more infantry started doing what you did you know how toxic the game would be? You wouldn’t even need wildcats lol, Imagine only 3 guys doing what you did but to your wildcat every time you spawn😂
@@newt9095 What is the purpose of Infantry Engineer class ? - Destroy enemy vehicles and repair friendly vehicles. @@Raptor_i81 if my team vehicles cant handle the enemies teams I assume they’re just shitty drivers/pilots lol but as far as the engineer class I place them more as light support. you miss half of your shots, improve your tracking with aimlab and no helis would stand a chance against you. when i started to play bf, i mastered all the ground vehicles and then i discovered helis, basically all my vehicles are T1 except jet. From my experience, it is way more harder to play helis than it looks like. I grinded for 6 months to feel comfident in nightbird and AC, the stealth is still very hard. Whereas the wildcat if you have good aim and good tracking, no air vehicles should survive. I advise to also change your missiles to AGM, it will allow you to put pressure against tanks and help you take cover when you are chased by them, because they will be less likely to follow you. It is a very simple equation with air missiles, the time that you spend targetting and locking onto a air vehicle (and 70%of time the air vehicle would flare), this precious time spent you could had used to shoot with the 30mm, the TTK is way much higher with this kind of gameplay.
I have 4300 kill in wildcat almost twice T1 requirement and I wish we have global ranking in vehicles to see where am I because I don't believe there is significant room for improvement in wildcat, the wildcat need improvement in many aspects and improving my aim can't be done with vehicle turret in the same way like infantry weapon, you can't practice for response and accuracy when you have a turret that have rotation time and bullets that have slow velocity that need a lot of leading (35mm). 30mm vs AT heli got nerfed in the same update the AT heli got buffed and it was a big one for Helis.
@@Raptor_i81 it is possible to train your aim, i did, i perfectly track enemy AC with the 30mm, 35mm is useless since the TTK is low (it depends a lot on how accurate you shoot with the 35 and have to predict), the 30 mm is laser, no major bullet drop. If you play irish and put the IPS, you can gain 2 to 3 seconds more in terms of life length, before the AC gunner realize that you have APS, they should be already dead. For me i dont feel that the cat is nerfed, the only nerf was the removal of the mortar, which killed its polyvalency. Now if you are 2 on a cat and you have another crew on the AA pod, there is a 300% chance that the AC would not even stand a chance against you.
Totally agree with you about the terrain. If they bring the mobility improvements they gave to the tanks to the wildcat, it'd help mitigate the issue.
Thanks for be the only channel to make this type of videos with veichiles in battlefield

Back to the 30mm instead of the 35 mm I see. But then back to 35! Ugh the wildcat needs mobility upgrade and APS

Why not play as Irish so you can place APS around yoursefl as a (rudimentary) defense against attack heli?

Completely agree. I am driving tank, and the terrain is so fucked up.
