Radiohead is like musical therapy, I truly believe it. After my mom passed away in 2021, I lost my job and was in the worst time of my adult life while I lived in London - unemployed and living in a horrible flat, in a long distance relationship with my partner of 7 years. One day with nothing to do, I went to The National Gallery around the time it opened and began listening to all of Radiohead's albums in order, From Pablo Honey to A Moon Shaped Pool. I must've been at the museum at least 8 hours. By the time I was finishing listening to A Moon Shaped Pool, I became overwhelmed with emotion. I remember where I was in the museum, I was looking at the works of Diego Velazquez when I couldn't really hold it in and I had to sit on the bench and just take a moment to shed private tears, hiding away from the crowd as much as I could. Listening to True Love Waits, the final song in their discography (thus far) in the new context of Thom Yorke's partner having passed away, thinking of the passing of my mom, it was an overwhelming moment, and yet it was after that day that I knew I needed to move forward with my life, following the last words my mom ever told me: "Don't be afraid to live your life".

It's locked in a vicious battle with _Glass Eyes, Present Tense, How To Disappear Completely,_ and _Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief_ for me, but it's definitely a top 5 Radiohead song and my favorite off of _In Rainbows._

This is one of the most beautiful videos on the internet. You’ve captured something beyond comprehension in this, thank you for sharing everything you have with us Jon ❤
Loved this video. As always, love your honesty and openness. I think that perhaps you’ll connect with it even further when you listen without the cameras. Where you were trying to understand your feelings to then try and articulate to the audience, it potentially held you back from fully embracing the emotions that the music was making you experience. Some feelings just need to be felt, with no need to be understood. Subconsciously, you’ll know why you felt it and feel better for letting that feeling be, with no judgement. All the best John
Knowing Bodysnatchers was one take makes it even more incredible. As the recording ended Thom collapsed being taken to hospital as he was extremely unwell at the time. They left it as is, his whole hysteria recorded in this incredible sound. This album is pure art
I loved how much you went into articulation for your own feelings Jon, such a real reaction to this album. I hope you continue to learn more about these inner thoughts and emotions
What a wonderful Christmas gift! In Rainbows, and OK Computer are two of the most gorgeous albums I've ever heard. I don't love every song on In Rainbows, but the songs I enjoy, I truly love. I grew up on The Bends and OK Computer, and it took me a while to get into In Rainbows. It's still insane to think that they put this album out essentially for free. You could choose your own price and download the album. It was shortly after The Smashing Pumpkins released a double album in torrent form as a middle finger to the music industry. The late 90's and 00's were a crazy time for rock music. The mainstream was dying and a lot of bands were sick of the way they were treated by their labels. I refer to 1998-2001 as "the dark ages" of rock music. It was the dark ages of music in general. The scene was very dry until The Strokes popped up, and changed the popular sound. Bands like Radiohead, NIN, and Manson adapted. Bands like The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Muse, and others changed the direction of rock music. Nude, All I Need, Weird Fishes, and Video Tape are the stars of the album for me.
loved your thoughts on the album Jon and really enjoyed how personal you got while diving into the music. I feel that's the reason it was created in the first place
This is probably the best Radiohead reaction I’ve ever seen because you basically described how this music has helped me through my past trauma and has become literally therapeutic for me for the past few years. You sir by just opening up to your audience has probably helped dozens of people. Thank you good sir and please more Radiohead!

Given what you talked about at the beginning, I imagine this to have been pretty cathartic for you Jon. At least I hope it would be :) That feeling of uneasiness that you talk about around minute 28:00 mixed with profound beauty, I think is what makes Radiohead - and this album in particular - so special to me.

I love both but I very much would not put AMSP as their most accessible. I feel the bends and OK Computer are both more accessible imo but you really can’t go wrong with the 3. AMSP is a beautiful encapsulation of all of their work however!

Watching your content always makes me happy.

Love seeing you open up in such a way. Big up and thank you so much for sharing :)
loved your thoughts on the album Jon and really enjoyed how personal you got while diving into the music.
My favorite album that I have not listened to in years, Loved going through it with you.
Love this album, and really appreciate your reaction to it and the work you do overall. Keep it up man!
Amazing experience, bought this for 0 quid at release. Gladly paid 40 for the vinyl this year. Thank u Jon
So happy to join you! I love your reaction.
I won’t recommend anything but I really hope you explore.. There’s a beautiful Radiohead jungle out there.
Hope to see you soon!
Bro. I have been listening to reactions to this album for the past couple of months and seeing this come out now is insane to me. Love your reactions! One of my favorite albums ever.
"You know when you listen to something and you can't believe how good it is and then it just keeps getting better?" Same reaction when I first heard it!
Merry Xmas JD, great vid.
HipHop is mainly in my rotation but this album stirred up a similar reaction from me a couple years ago, instantly bought the vinyl.
You would love Sade's music. I can hear her influence in a lot of current artists today, even in Kanye West's music and Mac Miller's posthumous work.
Given what you talked about at the beginning, I imagine this to have been pretty cathartic for you Jon. At least I hope it would be :)
That feeling of uneasiness that you talk about around minute 28:00 mixed with profound beauty, I think is what makes Radiohead - and this album in particular - so special to me.
25:49 "The percussion sounds like Andre from Dark Souls" I CANNOT UNHEAR IT NOW NOOOO
What needs smithing this day? \[T]/
Don’t you dare go hollow
Great reaction. Loved hearing your philosophy coming out as you connected to the music.
This is like a dream come true for me, always loved Jon. Now he’s listening to my favorite artist. Merry Christmas guys!
I clicked just to hear your reaction to Jigsaw. One of my favorite songs of all time!
Genuinely super this is your first listen to the album. Cant wait to watch
Amazing video. Love seeing these types of powerful videos from you like this
Great introspective commentary alongside the reaction as always.
So glad you listened to this album and gave us such a soulful reaction. This album is art and after 20 years of listening to this it is ever new and enlightening.
I hope that after this listen you went to watch the performance of this record 'from the basement'. I go back to that quite often, it's amazing
Love the way you expressed yourself on this album and the complex collective listening feeling that you described so successfully for me
Your life is about to get a lot better mate, great Christmas present to yourself.
All songs are at least 9/10 but nude is my personal favourite, one of the best bass lines ever.
In Rainbows (along with Moon Shaped Pool) are Radiohead’s most accessible albums. It feels like they just embraced how beautiful they can make music. Great reaction
I love both but I very much would not put AMSP as their most accessible. I feel the bends and OK Computer are both more accessible imo but you really can’t go wrong with the 3. AMSP is a beautiful encapsulation of all of their work however!
