Thank you for watching (and for your patience)! Here's the stitch calculator to help you customize your dress to your own size: www.seamsbysky.com/product-page/the-marinette-dress-stitch-calculator i'd love to see if you make this💗
I’ve knitted a lot but never a garment, and this dress pattern has really inspired me to get into it! I can just imagine ice skating in this would be so cute 🥰
Cute dress, and cute on. Definitely above my pay grade, but maybe some day. Your explanation was great. I'll be watching.
I was just looking for a good semi pleated knit skirt pattern and couldn’t find anything, thank you so much for making/sharing your pattern!
Omg this is absolutely lovely! I can't knit much so I'll just appreciate it from afar 🤣❤️
Thats a very cute dress and I am also in looove with these pants you showed💖
I can’t wait to cast this project on! 😍I’ve been looking for a cute knit dress and this one definitely checks all my boxes. I also got your peekaboo petal skirt pattern, I can see myself making quite a few of those! ❤
I saw your order come through!! I'd love to see your dress and skirt when you complete them happy knitting/crocheting!! :)
This is beautiful! Can't wait to make this 💜

Im in love with this design❤
Well now i know what im gonna make next :D
It is beautiful seeing you smile and talk so passionately about this project. Thank you soo much for sharing your talent with us. I’m sure I speak for many when I say we appreciate your hard work ❤️
This is wonderful! I'm so enamoured by your pattern that I, a lifelong crochet-only fiend, am learning how to knit solely to make this 😅
I have a few questions too- when you describe the first part of the calculations of waist stitches, what kind of stitch do you mean? Is it just how many knit stitches to make your waist circumference, or are you using one of the gauge swatches (e.g. X stitches of knit/purl/etc in a 4" swatch extrapolated to waist measurement)? And if it's the latter, which gauge swatch?
Lastly, I understand how to make the top/ribbed section's gauge swatch (knit3 + purl2 + knit3 + purl2 = 2") but not the bottom/gored section. Can you please elaborate on that?
Hi im so sorry im just getting around to this!!! send me an email if you still have questions, ill have to check my notes to answer these~
Is it really only 700yards?? How many grams would you say it was?
According to your yarns stats, that would make it just over 200g which seems insanely light for a dress!
Just double checked my stitch calculator and weighed the dress again, your number estimates match up with mine! Like I said in the video the dress is quite short (and I honestly should've called it a minidress instead) so if I had properly done my gauge to account for the lack of lengthwise stretch, I definitely could've used at least an additional 160 yards/50 grams, if not more
04:07 8 months???
Can this dress be possible with crochet?? I can’t knit for the life of me😅
hmm there might be a way to recreate these pleats using crochet but the structure would probably be completely different🤔 I think it'd be worth it to search for crochet pleated dress patterns though, maybe you'll be able to find something with a similar drape !
