27th ST JAN 2025 @ARTNYC 1111am 14.1.25 i dunno, mate, what would have been the abstract or protest art or generic run of the mill art of the, say, the 16th or 17th centuries? the YBA's, of the UK, may have caused a media stir (nothing more) but the references are so subtle or obscured as to be rendered meaningless... native American tribal crochet patterns emblazoned across everyday objects could be an idea for future consumer conscious wares - as the car demonstrates. maybe...? personally, if we're taking abstract art to this level - famous artistic inspired wall paper designs were the fad 40 years or so ago - i'd like to see seans cully's art emblazoned upon kettles and toasters, plates and chopping boards... a sean scully sense and sensibili-tea set???
