    Thanks for the great review. I'm loving my GT Line in Magnetic Blue. I spent several weeks to work out the best spec between the Allure and the GT Line. In the end the GT Line with Grip Control and 1.2 Petrol was the best choice for me. The 1.2 engine only felt a little underpowered for acceleration on the Autobahn for speeds around 130-140kph. For my daily commute the 1.2 is ideal. Sport mode is great fun for the kids with the accentuated engine sound. The striking design has all the VW, Mercedes, Audi owners taking a long second look!

      zero082294 I took the 1.2 out today and it felt more than fine, pulled sufficiently to 60 (had the sales guy with me), and felt fine for its chassis up and down my local mountain roads.
      Saying that I got back onto my GTC 165, and my car felt like a rocket in comparison. However the 3008 is not a car to chuck about, so I think I'd be happy with the 1.2. Saying that, when my lease is up, if I go for a 3008 it would be the 1.6 165 model.
      Though I still really like the Rav4 (hybrid), not as stylish, more utilitarian, the hybrid and the CVT gear matched with the 200bhp output is really nice. And I think it handles gist that bit better. I'd need to drive the 1.6 3008 to be sure.
      I love car shopping. Just love it.

    Absolutely love my 3008 GTLine 1.6 petrol. Have full option package. Everything is intuitive and takes a couple of trips to get to know it. Comfortable around town and relaxing on a long drive. Very well built,solid feel,nice materials used,as good as the German stuff and cheaper to buy with more equipment as standard.

    Good review Thomas, thank you. I have the Allure 1.2, 3 cyclinder auto and I have had no problems either joining a motorway or overtaking on a motorway. I have no issue with the way it performs at 60 mph on A roads and country lanes either. The 1.2 litre engine is an award winning design and is surprisingly good.

    Great review! I want to mention that the space for the rear passengers feet under the front seats depend on which options chosen. If the car is equipped with the optional Focal hi-fi system, the floor in the rear is a bit raised up. Without it, the floor is lower, and than there is a bit more space available under the front seats.

    I traded in my trusty, reliable Renault kadjar for one of these yesterday.
    I was so sad that I let my Renault go. Until I got in the Peugeot, man, what a car! It drives as good as my wife's Audi Q2. Even she took it for a spin and was highly impressed.

    Love your reviews, they come across more as a daily driver and owner of the vehicle rather than a tester, if that makes sense?
    I have ordered the model you have advised, in blue but with the pano roof, no leather as the cloth ones are awesome and show off the dash fabric really well. As others have pointed out, you get slightly more leg room in the back without the Focal hifi option, I noticed this in the showroom, found out this is because Focal insisted on extra sound insulation throughout the car, including laminated front windows which makes quite a reduction to cabin noise on the move which is a must for me, even if you do lose a couple of inches in the back.
    The 3 month wait begins

    Well done! Again a very detailed review!
    I have a 208 myself, but about the steering wheel, the heart of a normal steering wheel is on the bottom part of your chest.
    In a Peugeot with the EyeCockpit, if you lower the seat a bit and the steering wheel, the heart of the steering wheel is still around the bottom part of you chest. The wheel itself is smaller and in my experience the space between the steering wheel and you legs, is the same like a normal steering wheel. The only diffirence is that the upper part of the Peugeot steering wheel is a bit lower then a normal steering wheel. It’s kind of an optical illusion.
    If you use the seat and the steering wheel like described above, you have a good view on the gauges, but yes you have to get used to it.
    I have my 208 for a week now, and already used to the EyeCockpit. I drove a car today with a normal steering wheel and it was massive, lol!!! Even when I wanted to check my speed, I moved my eyes a little bit down, but there was nothing to see. I had to lower my head to check the speed instead.
    So yes, again, you have to get used to this concept, but when you do, it is so comfortable.

    As ever, a brilliant review Thomas. I really considered buying a 3008, but in the end I went for an Ateca 1.4tsi. I just prefer its sportier handling and the engine is superb. To get a similar engine and features, the 3008 would have cost a lot more. However, I do think the 3008 is a much more beautiful car, both in and out.

    After two year of owning a 3008 GT-Line 2020 i think they should have put more energy on getting the electrical system work as it should. Good looking and drives well but screens that go black, electric tailgate that wont open, side assist flashes all the time and electric mirrors that fold one side at the time when i try to use the handfree tailgate.... Peugeot Sweden have tryed to fix it with new firmware but no luck..... My first and last Peugeot....

    9:26 It looks like the legroom for the right leg is really crammed. Please always mention legroom for the driver! Most modern cars really have gigantic center consoles at the cost of driver legroom.
    Reviews often say "it's ok", but after three hours of your knee touching the plastic, it gets really uncomfortable!

    Exterior is quite daring but not as successful as the interior which looks really inviting with a super impressive dash lay-out and cool button/control design. Some of the digital instrument interface needs some work I think but are legible.
    Still remember way back before when most steering wheels did not have any buttons/knobs and were usually replaced with a small diameter aftermarket brands like MOMO, Nardi or any cheap affordable brands just to add some sporty look but with the compromise on feel.
    Another fab review Thomas.

    You really should lower the steering wheel because everyone adjusts it like it would be a full sized one and do it wrong. Never heard someone complain about this 3008 that the steering wheel blocks the speedo.

    • @autogefuehl

      I cant put it lower as it would still hit my knees. I hear people putting the steering wheel in maximum height position all the time

      I hear the oppisite but maybe you live in a country where you are shaped differently? :)
      Here we mainly have problems with BMW and Audi etc. where you sit low on the floor and because of that the steering wheel blocks the upper part of the speedometer.

    I just took the 1.2petrol one of these for a spin. I was surprised it didn't feel under powered. However id get the 1.6petrol in the GT line spec.
    What I liked about the one I just driven is the optional extra controls (buttons) , are hidden next to the drivers door. So you don't have to look at the blank buttons you couldn't afford or want.
    Over all this is the best crossover on the market. Maybe not best, as that subjectable, but defo the most stylish.
    It reminds me of the launch of the original DS5. It was about Mondeo price, nut felt as good as a 50k merc of the time. Shame that DS5 wasn't very good. Looks great though.

    Hi Thomas, this is Carlos from Brazil. In first place I'd like to congratulate for your job, I really like to watch your reviews. What I'd like to ask you whose driven both vehicles is, once both divide the same platform (and have the same measures but the length), is possible to put the second row of the 5008 (the three independente seats) in the back of 3008? Both is almost the same cars with so few diferences I think it would be possible, I even don’t understand why Peugeot didn’t use the same seats in both vehicles and why use those roof rails instead the floating roof racks, that complete the SUV style! Thank you so much!

      a rear view camera is meanwhile standard with most new vehicles, in the US it is even a mandatory feature by law. There are so many different functions with each car, you could also say, hey, I didnt test the middle seat belt holder in the rear.

    There are times when I think the auto industry sucks. Especially when it comes to vehicles like these. I know there are differences based on govt regs over emissions, size, safety and so on and so forth. But still, it can feel annoying when some of us here in the USA want crazier or edgier designs like Peugeot or smaller CUVs like the T-roc but are stuck with boring refreshes of cookie cutter vehicles like the RAV4 or CRV then bash cars like the JUKE. Or when we get something edgy it’s dumbed down and underpowered and a gen behind from its counterpoint in another country like Toyota’s CHR. Say what you like but I’d like to get these auto execs in a room and just take a rolled up newspaper to them and smack some sense into their boardroom.

      @autogefuehl  6 років тому +1

    • @ParideNasello
      @ParideNasello 6 років тому

      Autogefühl He says that the 8speed Aisin gearbox (the same used in the Volvo range) is an evolution of the previous 6speeder and that it makes the car better to drive...
      According to him the engine should be roughly the same.
      Do you think the 8speed is really better than the 6?

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  6 років тому +1

      the 8spd from volvo is surely a good one. Might be a step forward. Not sure if it would be worth 500 euros though

    • @ParideNasello
      @ParideNasello 6 років тому

      Autogefühl The new 1.5BlueHDi has 130bhp instead of 120bhp, has 16valves rather than 8valves of the 1.6BlueHDi and it is an euro6c (2020ready) emission-wise...it's a totally new engine (the same of the DS7 crossback) but according to the dealer should perform like the older one - the problem is no reviews are out yet.
