    Congratulations on being invited to Tracie's team. Can not believe that after all these years of sewing and crafting with threads of all kinds, that I have never knew the way to make an easy knot in the thread. Thanks for sharing this. Another great video. I am making the strips you made yesterday and your so right..very easy to make, but the decision making is hard. 🤔 This is one today that I can do in my recliner relaxing. I can not thread my needle even with a needle threader as quickly as you do. Lol

    These are so pretty! Congrats on the DT! Very deserving because you are extremely talented. What I appreciate about your projects is they are always different. You don't just print a kit and make it into a journal as is. You just use the kits as a base and embellish it so it isn't a bunch of plain pages and pockets clued in! Great job!!
    And I loved the Good Wife. I wish they still had that series going. The spin off, "The Good Fight" is pretty good as well!

    Wow Rachel. These fabric paper clips are a WINNER!!! Love the slow stitching. So relaxing. I think I'll make some of these this winter while sitting in front of the fire with a cup of tea and some nice music in the background. That would make for a lovely relaxing afternoon. TFS

    Love the hand stitching Racheal!!! It adds so much beauty to the little figures. I think a blanket stitch would look cute on the little paper clips too. We all like Fabric Tac or Fabric Fix because it does not wrinkle your paper. It has no water in it.Thank you for sharing!!! PS, I like the new camera angle. Its closer and I can see what you are doing better.

    I am so happy that you love fabrics. People would tell me that I would find my niche after awhile. Well, I did and I always want to play with fabric but not many people do. You are an exception and I love this project!! Thank you for sharing this and now this weekend I am off to buy repositionable fixative.and give this a go. I was just imagining little French Knots around the edges. I think it will be addicting. I had never heard of knotting my thread like you showed, great tip. You are the best Rachel.

    Awesome . I have printed on fabric but I soak mine in soda ash, then let it dry. Then I iron it onto the wax side of freezer paper. Cut it to fit the printer, and when it's run through let it dry for at least 8 hours. Then iron it to set the color. I made a picture quilt for my son and daughter in laws wedding. It's faded now because they use it a lot and wash it.

    Hi Rachel. Congrats on the DT! Lucky you and lucky Tracie! 😊. I really love this idea...I don’t know why I don’t think of these things myself, lol. This would be a great travel project! I love the idea of the hand stitching. I need to get back to fabric and hand stitching, it was my favorite part of making a quilt when I was doing that, I’d hand sew the back of the binding on. I love your layering whether with paper or fabric! Printing Tracie’s mini’s on fabric is a great idea! So sorry about your video not working out. You could have done a voice over but that’s also a lot of work. Thanks for sharing! 💕 PS - I always use a tripod, but I can raise and lower it so sometimes it’s close in, sometimes further away.

    • @roxycreations679
      @roxycreations679  5 років тому +1

      Thank you so much! Are used a tripod for a long time but then I got the arm above my desk as well because I kept knocking the tripod over and sometimes for larger projects the arm is better as it’s further away and you can fit more in. I thought the tripod was better for the hand stitching as it’s closer and I wasn’t moving around too much so I couldn’t knock it over. I agree handsewing is very relaxing and a lot of fun.

    Oh Missy Rachel this fabric work is just awesome. I love it when you ply the needle to these projects. And as for an artist's original rendition of their work, it is not a good idea to bow to the patron. I'm only speaking from my feelings of course, but I have never ever painted a picture to "hang over one's couch." Always be true to your work. Love ya.

    I love, love, love these fabric paper clips. I also have been wanting to print on fabric. You hit two of my wish list items. I love to hand sew but haven’t done in so long. I used to do counted cross stitch and have a lot of DMC floss so maybe I should get them out and stitch up some to these, I would love to watch your sister’s channel. I know it’s Roxy Creations with her name but how does she spell it. Could you please send me a link. Don’t worry, you will always be my favorite sister. 😂

    When you say your HP printer, do you mean a laser printer as opposed to an ink jet printer or just the standard ink jet rather than the eco tank? You can also iron fabric on to freezer paper that can be put through a printer. Lisa Capen Quilts and Zoe Tofield have tutorials on UA-cam showing the process. I'm sure there are others as well.
