I swear some of these 4k movies are just a cash grab. The “upgrade” is so subtle, I mean SUBTLE that you would need to be playing the blu ray and 4k side by side.
In terms of resolution, the improvement may appear marginal, much like many recent titles from the same master. However, other aspects that highlight the strengths of the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format, such as the expanded dynamic range and the generous application of the expanded color gamut, are clearly noticeable across numerous sequences. This is precisely what we emphasize here. Maximum luminance measurements are taken from the RAW HDR clips, and the benefits of the wide color gamut are evident in a large number of sequences. Not to mention the Dolby Atmos section, which further enhances the overall viewing experience.
Brightness up in the mid 600's in some shots is pretty good. I thought the flash point of that green laser would have the brightest measurement but it didn't.
@@TheAntipolitics Thanks for the head up. It's strange that 'Prometheus' is in Dolby V, but 'Covenant' isn't? Perhaps its worth the wait for a Dolby V printing? For me, if it doesn't have Dolby V, its not worth its retail asking price.

@@bulletsforteeth5029Prometheus is also HDR10 only on UHD Blu-ray. It's Dolby Vision on Disney+, though.
