He's absolutely one of the best directors ever. I mean The Witch changed my horror taste so much. I watched that movie in the middle of the day and it still terrified me.
@@melissam597Well it was meant to be Anya Taylor joy, but she had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts. I think Lily will do a good job though people need to give her a chance and not judge her based off of the Idol because it’s not her fault that series was terrible. She was good in The King.
Well if its as good as the 1992 classic bram stokers Dracula. This in years to come will be a classic also. Hollywood needs to make a greater effort in making decent movies. Am sure the talent is there.
I want to see this so damn bad, but I don't know if I can handle this! I live for period pieces and victorian era costume dramas, so this is right in my wheelhouse, but I hate horror films and Im such a scaredy cat! 😮💨🥴🙄😭😞 I may have to wait until it comes out on streaming and watch it at home….in the day time….with ALL of the lights on….and blinds open….lmao and I will still be terrified! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@teresalee467 yeah, it was sarcasm. The point being the long journey to create the story eggers describes seems unusually drawn out since its a known story with existing characters. Just orlock instead of dracula
@@richardallan2767 The "journey" is Eggers' personal journey toward realizing this, his passion project, to film. Everything he's done up to this point has been building to it, ever since his high school production. It has nothing to do with the story itself and everything to do with the work Robert Eggers has been doing to get here.
And if it indeed IS a crappy remake I'll be extremely disappointed. However, between early reviews being very positive and the way Eggers has previously made things that sound ridiculous on paper look genuinely impressive on screen, I'm quite hopeful that this will be an awesome remake that adds something new to the Dracula/Orlok mythos and makes vampires scary again.
Eggers' the Northman, his last movie, was not good but GREAT. Somewhere between THEN and now, 🥚 Eggy throws his marbles behind a violent, antichrist glorification, and releases it on the date when we commemorate Jesus' Birthday. For me, the best Dracula movie STILL remains the Francis Ford Coppola version, teaming up with Gary Oldman. Eggers' adaptation is a HORRIBLE rip-off of Coppola. Coppola's masterpiece worked to perfection by enlisting a true composer, Wojciech Kilar. Eggers' bland, weak, BBQ sauce employs shrieking sound effects that have far less impact. 🎃 BOO‼️ Not since Joker 2 has the build-up been MORE of a catastrophe. I'd rather be with my loved ones enjoying a nice meal and watching three very good NBA 🏀 basketball games on a day which commemorates the arrival of the World's Savior and Messiah. Save your money. Count Orlock ISN'T EVEN IN THIS version of the FILM. It's basically a ridiculously watered down script of Dracula featuring a guy playing the part, who is way out of his paygrade compared to Gary Oldman. And the STUPID lines in this adaptation,! Where is Alec Baldwin and his PISTOL when you need him?

This will be my Christmas present to myself.
please accept this virtual hug from a stranger for your Christmas present 🫂🫂
My poor little nephew even saw this trailer and said, oooooooh, Nosferatu! From SpongeBob.
I turn to him & said, get out.🤯😂
The important thing is that it's a starting point for teaching him about film
He’s cultured af
this looks legitimately like the best horror movie of a decade
Watch better movies
Sorry to break it to you but it definitely isn’t
He's absolutely one of the best directors ever. I mean The Witch changed my horror taste so much. I watched that movie in the middle of the day and it still terrified me.
I have the whole original movie of this in it's old school reel
How much is that worth I wonder
It’s on 4K now also
along with Denis Villeneuve Robert Eggers is one of the most consistently good directors working.
Robert became a household name in my book
Can’t wait to see my baby Nicholas Hoult
She already scares the sh** out of me tbh. B is terrifying here.
I want my opera house!
Tiene el ambiente de sleepy hollow 🤩 La quiero ver!!!
I cant wait untill Johnny and Lilly Rose Depp act together!
At 0:49 is that Orlok being burnt
Probably not. It looks like a corpse with the plague. I assume Orlok would have long finger nails.
Oh I cant wait! Ive been counting down the months.
I’m excited too see this movie looks creepy in the best way
I'm a little froggy🐸
Pumped!
I can't wait to see switching up the lights 🤣🤣🤣
Lily Rose Depp is so beautiful! ❤
Sinemada izlenmesede olur ses yuksek olunca filan gerebilir kacak sitelere gelir bence onu beklemeliyiz
Eggers looks like a vampire actually
Herzog Popol Vuh
Great casting - though mixed reviews on lily rose being part of the ensemble 😟
She's not completely talentless but does seem a bit miscast
@ I’m team Johnny Depp✨♾️🫶🏼🤩

Aster and Perkins have let us down. Thank you, Eggers.
Hot take brother, beau is afraid and longlegs are both fantastic. Could you go into further detail as to why you were let down? ❤
@@Michael-y6h7i longlegs was incredibly overrated.
Aster was never good
As a huge eggers fan longlegs was goated

I’m excited to see this movie but I’m nervous it will be scary lol I might hide my face sometimes
Smashing pumpkins are back
I'm not sure, but it seems a teeny tiny bit like the story of bram stoker's dracula.
It's the same story. You are a bit late. Its is and has always been the same story. 😂. Welcome to the party.

Just a bit!
Origin story?
As a dracula monster I approve of this talkie picture program.
I hope this film kicks a$$ like it the trailer suggests. I've seen the other two several times. I look forward. - Batman
Robert eggers, I am SALAVATING for this movie to come out!!!
so he got avicii as the main actor...cool.

Where’s the superheroes?
One of the biggest disappointments of the year...
So many talented young actors out there and they pick a nepo baby with no talent
Well they certainly aren't hiring Lily Rose Depp for her acting ability
This movie is about to make me COME 😂😂😂
I liked it but this modern-looking person in a chair talking kinda took me out of it.
This will not be good.
This sucks, Nosferatu does not need a crappy remake
There´s always the chance of "not watching it"...
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all 😄
What do you think about Herzog's version?
