- The Maximals are a faction from the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family. Woof woof! Arising from the ashes of the Great War, the Maximals are the descendants (at least in part) of the Autobots, controlling Cybertron under the Pax Cybertronia. In this video, we give you the differences between Maximals and Dinobots. Enjoy the video.

sometimes i wish the dinobots got their own movie in the bayverse films...as much as i loved their appearance in the 4th movie, it was very depressing in the 5th movie to barely see them, and we only get like 1 short cameo from slug, and no cameo from scorn or strafe, or hell any of the other concept art dinobots....hope they make an appearance with the new trilogy, hell with more almost g1 design but with some bayverse design even others might prefer one over the other.

I wanna see autobots, dinobots, and maximals fighting against decepticons, predacons, and terricons.
Dinobots are the true kings of the battlefield and no enemy should ever mess around with them too.

Imagine if bayverse continue there movie 7, the dinobots alongside with the knights and dragonstorm and maximals and predecons vs unicron
All I know about difference is that Dinobots were first gen, and the Maximals are second gen
Dino fan but can't wait for this movie hopefully will be as good as Mr Bumblebee ☮️
Tbh I’m pretty sure it would be easy for the Dinobots to copy guns and cannons into their arsenal and id wager that they may even have them but literally just don’t use them they literally just don’t need to. Other than Optimus no one gave them a run for their money in the movies.

What the movie suggest is that the dinobots originated here literally millions of years ago but the maximals have only been here for a few centuries.
They did it actually show the emergence of the maximals and predacons in the comics of the transformers collectors club so please revise your script with little bit more research

Does anyone know the length for Primeverse Predaking in beast mode is from head to tail? And also how tall He is on all four legs from ground to the top of his head? (The reason I am asking this question is for research purposes for my Transformers OC which is a Primeverse Predacon which I personally like to call Mythacons since they are based off of mythological creatures such as Dragons, Griffins, and Hydras.)

The dinobots arent useless in a ranged situation suprisingly grinlock has a flail he can throw scorn has a whip though both not having LONG range its better than absolute point blank slug doesint have much range at all only having 4 blades and a mace but strafe has a crossbow which i doubt anyone would want to be impaled with it may be crude and primitive but still ITS A HUGE BOLT even for a transformer
Maximal are much smaller than Dinobots. Grimlock was a bit bigger than Optimus Prime, look how small the maximals were next to Optimus. All of my info is taken from Beast Wars cartoon.

Originally beast modes for maximals were a protection from amount of energon on planet, while Dinobots' "beast modes" just exist (Strafe dont even have a reference to his beast mode). But in the movies they both exist for fan service.
If we're talking G1, Beast Wars has far more in-universe justification on their alt mode, Dinobots Raison d'être was just Autobots going "Hey we like dinos let's make them."
Both are selling toys but one also serve purpose within the story, the other is just blatant as it can be.
What do you mean by not understanding the appeal for Beast Wars?
The large amounts of energon affected them to the point that they would malfunction if in robot form too long. So they scan forms like would native to earth. Like Gorilla's Rhino, ETC.

The bayverse F'd it all up the Dino's look amazing but thats where it ends G1 laid down the storyline amd bay went Rogue the Dino's weren't ancient knights they were created by the Bots, they could talk as well and mostly we got robbed of seeing the Dino's and Devastater fighting that alone could've been a separate 3 hour movie

Y’all need to do more research before posting. There’s a lot to the back story of the maximals. And the Dino bits are a lot smaller in every other depiction besides the awful bayverse
