    love your videos man! Ive been following for awhile. We got to get together and I can show you some of my upgrades. One in particular is with the seats. I had an upholsterer make snap in straps to hold the seats in while towing. They work very well, no issues so far. Keep up the vids!

    Hello @midwestbuilds, in another video you talked about the ‘extra’ backseat/clicked on the boat at the driver seat (so the driver is sitting more close to the steering wheel)
    Is that a custom made or does it has a name and can I order it somewhere?
    Hopefully the explanation is clear from my side 😊
    Thanks for your videos, we are going to watch at an Element E5 - trying and maybe buying this week.
    60hp mercury on it
    Thanks again for the movies on the Element Bayliner

    Sorry if I missed it, but what about the bilge pump and pump out water line in the boat? We have an RV water pump in our trailer and if I don't run plumber's antifreeze through it, it will crack over the winter. I live in Canada and it bloody cooooooold up here in the winter, anything with a drop of water in it will expand and explode! Thanks, PS love the professional pilot uniform profile!

      Hey and yes this boat will drain everything, the main rear center drain takes care of everything inside the boat and once the motor is trimmed down, all the water will drain out of that. So nothing to worry about! Thanks for watchin!

    I know you said your selling your boat but a snap on cover would be a great investment next time for trailering. I have had mine 5 years and worth every penny. I will say I can’t wait for your cleaning videos. That’s the worst thing I don’t like about my white boat is all the dirt and grime. But hey it’s a boat and meant to get dirty otherwise you wouldn’t be having fun in it.

      Scott Haasch yea i wanted one but did not like all the buttons all the way around it haha...maybe the next boat will have it!

    Can you speak to how much weight you can put into the boat and still get on plane? how many pounds in the boat and still pull a tube / wakeboarder etc? I saw on a different comment that you were able to pull a wakeboarder with 5 adults in the boat? My garage can't fit anything larger than this size boat but I would wonder if you can really get out on the water and have a great time with 6 people in the boat.

    • @midwestbuilds
      @midwestbuilds  4 роки тому

      Mark Johansen weight i think is around 735 pounds roughly with my 5 people. I get up on wakeboard and tube with absolutely zero issues. We never full throttle the boat. I do have the trim tabs on back ($100) but even without them i think someone would be fine. Could always find a dealer and possibly test drive!?

    I couldn't tell in the video, but do you have the 90hp or 115hp? I'm thinking of getting this boat and have been debating between the 90 or 115. Which one would you recommend? Is the 90 fine? Or do I need to go with the 115? Thanks

    • @midwestbuilds

      Mine was the e16 with 75hp. U have to go with a e18 or larger to get the bigger motors. But always go bigger. Its worth the money every time! Thanks

      Jules Siflinger check those rear drains on the floor. U may be able to get something small in there to unplug them if they have gotten clogged!

    Thanks for the video!
    You know people are buying Elements most likely because of your videos.😂
    Question: Can an extra 6 or 3 gal fuel tank fit like the XL Element optional 6 gallon reserves?

    • @midwestbuilds
      @midwestbuilds  5 років тому

      Carl Dea thanks!! And if you get creative it can yes! You would have to add it under another seat but would be easy to do!

    Do you have any thoughts between the bayliner 16 vs the Tahoe 16T?

    • @midwestbuilds
      @midwestbuilds  4 роки тому

      Not really, i have never seen a t16 but they have some good videos on the two for comparison. I would never pay for the “tahoe” name. The bayliner is such a good boat regardless of what others say. I proved it with this one, i do like the ski arch on bayliner, it allowed us to wakeboard and do a lot, the tahoe has that weird ring thing around engine. But im sure they are both great in their own way!

    • @johnnyturbo8460
      @johnnyturbo8460 4 роки тому

      @@midwestbuilds ok thanks. They both cost the same (with in a few hundred dollars).
      I was hoping you looked at them both so i was hoping to hear why you chose that over the Tahoe.
      What did you mean you wouldn't pay for the "Tahoe " name? Have you heard of issues with Tahoe?
      I have had Bayliners and had no issues. I currently have a 36' Sea Ray Sundancer but interested in a small run a bout boat as well like your Bayliner or the Tahoe

    • @midwestbuilds

      @@johnnyturbo8460 when i was in the market, the tahoe was quite a bit more expensive with a 60HP. I looked on bayliners website and i couldnt even find the E16, only the E18, so im wondering if they even still make them? The bayliner to me has more room in the rear lounge area, even if the boat was full of ppl we felt separated. The 75HP is a absolute must have for either boat. Nothing wrong with either boat, just that i could get boat, motor, ski arch, upgraded 75hp, bimini, trailer, all for cheaper than a tahoe with same options at that time

    Hey. Sorry if you've answered this before, but did you have the mechanical or hydraulic steering on your E16? Any comments either way? Love the vids. Super helpful. Thanks!

    I just learned about the Bayliner Element E16 today and I believe I watched the majority of your videos. I have several questions and you may have already addressed them, but I can't seem to find the answers in the videos I have watched so far. My questions are: The draft on the boat on the Bayliner website has conflicting measurements. I live on a river with significant low and high tide changes throughout the day. One the website specs for the E16, it has a draft of about 2"3" feet. However, on the Bayliner E16 cover page, it states 12". Which is correct? Second, what do you think about the boat on intracoastal/salt water (Gulf of Mexico)? Finally, after buying the boat, would you have added any specific options offered by Bayliner that you did not initially invest in the beginning? If so, which ones? Btw, totally love your videos!

    • @midwestbuilds
      @midwestbuilds  5 років тому

      Kathryn Van Vliet i think the 12” is correct..i personally wouldnt run it in less than two feet of water (just personally)...you may be able to see the water line marks on some of my cleaning vids. I have spoke to many who run these down in florida with salt water etc...they have no issues. Open water in ocean could be a diff story as they prob wouldnt do well with large waves. Ive heard of some people taking a E18 out in ocean but not far. I would not add anything from bayliner, i saved a ton of money installing everything myself, but hey you might find a great end of year sale with some options, never know. Bayliner and dealers just overcharge like crazy for the accessories like stereos and such. Thanks for watching vids! We will be back out in march with ours unless it sells!!

    Would you buy another Bayliner? im looking at the F18 myself but all the negative comments in the forums and all over the place kinda of make me want to go other way

    • @midwestbuilds
      @midwestbuilds  5 років тому +1

      Cesar Vargas yes i would no questions asked! I of course still have this one, i would buy another element or any bayliner and would recommended them. Check out my bayliner playlist and ive pretty much covered everything good and bad about the element series. Yes some ppl have issues but i dont know of any boat owner who doesnt haha. For the money, these are the boats to get! Feel free to ask any questions if u have any. Thnks!!
