** A Re-Imagining of a Scene from the 1964 Film "The Swingin' Set" - later retitled, "Get Yourself A College Girl"
In the final theatrical version, the Standells performed a Great Upbeat Dance-Version of this Classic Rock & Roll song. Unfortunately, the scene features only a short clip of the Standells performing and approximately half of that music track was used as background music for a scene of two actors in conversation.
In this EXTENDED VERSION - I have ReCut the Video and Remixed & ReEdited the Original Soundtrack to create a New Dance Scene FEATURING The Standells in what I believe is the Only HiQ Color Film available of this well know 1960's Rock Group.
** A Personal Note: People can say whatever they like about - "The Boomers" -
but at least Our Generation knew how to "Get-Down" and D-A-N-C-E...!!! 😊 😂 👍
BACKSTORY:
THE SONG: Released in 1957, the original version of this song by Larry Williams peaked at #14 on the Billboard Best Sellers in Stores chart and #4 on the U.S. R&B chart. Since then the song has been covered many times, including most notably by John Lennon on his "Rock ‘n’ Roll" album released in February 1975.

The Movie: Get Yourself a College Girl, also released as The Swingin' Set, is a 1964 Metrocolor film comedy in the style of a beach party movie. The plot involves a college student who tries to balance her time writing songs and dealing with her publisher who tries to pursue her. It was directed by Sidney Miller and written by Robert E. Kent, and filmed at Sun Valley, Idaho, United States.
