I'd say Accel and Pursuit should be moved down to A - Pursuit's targetting is just too dogshit and unreliable, also extremely mid DPS for the price and doesn't even have anything to back up that horrible cost efficiency other than stun immunity - Accelerator is extremely vulnerable to stuns, making it way worse than other towers in modes with high amounts of stun such as Polluted Wasteland II, Hardcore or Hidden Wave
Another thing to mention is that the ranger, having a lot of damage and a lot of cooldown, the damage and firerate improvements are more effective on him, incredibly increasing the tower's DPS.
firerate is exactly the same on ranger as any other tower, however damage may be slightly better on ranger cuz it rounds down which favours higher numbers
@@aljon5947 That's not how it works. Increasing either firerate or damage by 50% has the exact same effect. Let's say we got a tower doing 100 damage every 3 seconds. We can either increase damage to 150 or improve the firerate to 2 seconds (2/3rd cuz firerate stat is 3/2nd) in both cases, you end up dealing 300 damage every 6 seconds. ...I don't see how you could possibly not know about this cuz this is pretty basic math to me. Anyway, damage values get rounded down, so higher damage values benefit more from damage increases because less of it is "wasted" by rounding down
another disadvantage the gatling gun has is due to it being such a high maintenance tower, it makes focusing on other towers like eco and support much harder but that could just be fixed with bringing other dps towers or playing multiplayer to cover for your downtime. too bad that is basically nonexistent since gatling gun is crazy op.

Regular Minigunner is extremely underated as while it is slightly worse than golden minigunner. golden minigunner is already an amazing tower so even a small downgrade it’s still deserving of an A tier

Crowd Control doesn't mean what you think it means btw, that would be AoE. Crowd Control refers to applying debuffs to the enemy's movements and actions, such as stunning, slowing or knocking enemies back.
Honestly, I'd put Turret over Accelerator due to its reliability and immunity to debuffs while being fully affected by buffs. Also, move Accelerator and Pursuit down to A tier. Other than that, YOU COOKED 🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fun fact: Gatling gun gets buffed very well, so it's dps goes even more crazy. On another note, all the 3 top dps towers are stun immune, so medic is not as necessary (you can micro com if stunned). That brings accelerator even more down, just because of how much it suffers from stuns (and gmini to a lesser extend at max). Also why is brawler dealing as much dps as an accelerator and it has 100% uptime on slow bosses (example void reaver). The current meta + accelerator just not getting full support from buffs kinda makes it the 2nd worst dps tower overall (3rd worst in quad). How have the mighty fallen.
Um actually Engineer technically doesn't immune, because the sentries can only handle stun 1 time, so if it got 2nd stun before activating it's shield again, it will be gone☝🤓
idk if you were remembering this or not about accel getting stunned, but every time he does he has to recharge again, and sometimes it becomes even worse

Cleaning stuns is literally the sole purpose of medic, you will likely need it to unstun other towers as well like commanders so you can keep COA chaining. Harder gamemode bosses are more stun-heavy as well, making my previous point about COA chaining even more provable. Also if you say commander isnt as important as other support towers, im sorry, you're just wrong.
Btw, the normal minigunner has a placement limit of 26-27 if i'm right and overall if you're soloing a mode and needs a second dps use g mini, if g mini is your main dps, change it for normal because you can get alot more dps with normal mini.
If you are referring to placing other towers in solo leaving you with around 27-26 tower slots for minigunner, I would like to know what towers you are using

Those are kind of mixed since they require a perfect game-plan to maximize usage of their units, like skipping waves at the perfect time, Unlike DPS towers who only require the average mid-late game requirements, like DPS-checks or Detection checks.

honestly you're not giving Turret enough credit, it's way better than pursuit and accel and i'd rank it high A tier or even low S tier - as turret has no gimmick unlike most other towers on the list, Turret benefits the most out of buffs and can get up to +900 DPS with max commander, dj (red track) and merc base. that's like 3k DPS with 3 maxed turrets. (gatling gun still surpasses with buffs tho) - it CANNOT be debuffed by bosses or enemies, although it still can get stunned (unless you're using the humanoid skin) - the low placement limit is also an advantage in quad. it only takes up 3 tower placement spots out of 20, meaning that you can have another DPS tower like g mini or engineer (assuming you have enough money lol) not related to turret, but why isn't merc base and brawler on the list? they can do really high DPS
Merc base has insane burst DPS with riot guards but after that it sends out units too slow expensive for it to be a great DPS tower. Even with grenade launchers, you'd have to make sure they do not get overwhelmed by enemies by placing your main or sub DPS (assuming you have the insanity to use Merc base as main DPS). Better used for its 20% buff Brawler is good yes but you have to micro alot. Even then, it's terrible for fighting major bosses and is unreliable for main DPS
hot take, i'd put golden minigunner in low S+ tier, its amazing for waves 9 and above for fallen, amazing CE, spammable with a secretly beneficial placement limit, and has great coverage from the massive amount that is FIFTEEN GOLDEN MINIGUNNERS, i use it all the time and usually get about 8 max, its also great for being a buffer zone between having dps to farm for even better dps options like engineer and gatling gunner. Its not held back by the fact of any mechanics that prevent buffing, which gives it alot more viability, because you're gonna want those extra placement slots for supports and sub-dps options.
At the end of the day, it's about your play style. If you love to micromanage, use the gatling gun or golden minigunner. If you go AFK, use the turret. If you like macro managing, use the engineer or the accelerator.
I feel like other rankings exaggerate how accel is outclassed but I think this does a great job showing it's still 100% viable but also not the best on its own
Another thing about Accelerator is that it locks on to any of the enemy’s, which allows other enemies to slip by Say for example it locks on into the tank or a slow boss and allows fallens to go through with no problem
Ranger is indeed that on dps but that's because it reloads taking 7 seconds. So it's gonna give it a total of 7,350 per 7 seconds which is actually good and especially as you say, it's super reliable for all types of enemies because of flying, hidden, and lead detection and an explosion. And given the fact that it's 1050 per shot, it's not worth it when you have accelerator or turrets which are way more reliable
as someone who's recently gotten engineer ive found that i still use accelerator since it's level 3 just does so much damage and i feel like its very good against bosses before i can afford the more potent engineer upgrades. it probably needs a buff but ive found it useful still
Gatling Gun can actually bounce on surfaces, which means if the enemies are too low/high and if you can shoot at an angle where the bullets bounce off the cliff/ground, it will hit that enemy
another thing i think worth mentioning is turrets larger size on maps where space is hard to get its a pain to deal with although its range helps with that
So a really good build would be: farm for eco, ranger for (sub) DPS and flying, engineer for DPS, commander for firerate boost and cowboy for early game (offensive eco)

people are still overestimating regular minigunner, you shouldve mentioned that since minigunner strength comes from spamming it, at some point you'll run out of space where the minigunner can reach a good amount of the track, that means bosses will stay in its range only for a short amount of time.
5:15 This is untrue. The Golden Minigunner has an insane value of 8.22dps:$1,000 at level 1, which is insane, and it's why I think it's such a great tower. The insane cost efficiency at lvl1 means that gmini is such an insane midgame carry if you spam them. The fact it's such a good midgame tower while also being a pretty viable endgame tower gives it such good versatility, as it doubles as a midgame and a lategame tower in your loadout. It can be a bit awkward to spam them when the range is kinda meh, but I still personally think it's really worth it.
Ranger was literally my main dps when i was doing hc with my friend, the fact taht i can just put him down there and he can just start doing burst chips to the boss as i was the one doing the early game makes it too good.in my book
Ive used sniper in wrecked hardcore solo, it was an amazing yet slow early game that is very versatile due to its range and attributes for a starter tower
9:42 it can be fully buffed, just differently. The overheat is faster, meaning he will do more damage every overheat cooldown meaning it will still be faster and will do more damage than a single accelerator By what I mean he can overheat faster but he can end the cooldown between overheats faster if you get what I mean
fun fact: gatling gun does not have infinite range when in fps mode, it only has a insane range, you can test it by placing it on 1 side of the lay by map and trying to shoot a enemy on the other side of the map
Accelerator could be buffed up a bit imo, or should just get a complete overhaul in its gameplay. Generally the largest complaint presented is the Overcharge/Cooldown mechanics, which are fine on paper but make the tower horribly inconsistent in damage dealing (something ive experienced far too often), and its gem cost is a bit much for a tower that is inconsistent in its purpose of just shelling enemies. A probable fix (I'm not an expert at balancing stuff, only warship designs), would be to rework its overcharge/cooldown mechanic and just, generally increase its DPS. Overcharge works as normal aside from being faster, while its cooldown initiates at the end of a wave instead of when it goes above the threshold. (An alternative would be the tower 'cooling down' by still damaging enemies but generally doing less DPS, and then going back to its full potential once the guns cooled enough to take more of a punch.) Again im not a game balancer but this seems like a decent way to correct its DPS/feasibility in a match.
mortar could be one of the dps tower since it has crutial splash dmg and it's the best counter for lead balloon and I even use it to beat molten fallen and other gamemodes either

Man I feel like none of the current dps towers is really enough to solo fallen after the rework. Having one solid late game dps and early/mid game spam, was enough to solo fallen before. But now I feel like that you need like 2 or 3 main dps in the same load out in order to actually solo fallen, farm is also not good enough and I have started to prefer cowboy for this reason, because cowboy is both dps and farm at the same time, which allows me to get extra damage while generating cash.
Accelerator is still a pretty great DPS tower. It's just there are towers way better than it. (Merc, gattling, engineer, ranger, etc) bring back my boy!!!

- as turret has no gimmick unlike most other towers on the list, Turret benefits the most out of buffs and can get up to +900 DPS with max commander, dj (red track) and merc base. that's like 3k DPS with 3 maxed turrets. (gatling gun still surpasses with buffs tho)
- it CANNOT be debuffed by bosses or enemies, although it still can get stunned (unless you're using the humanoid skin)
- the low placement limit is also an advantage in quad. it only takes up 3 tower placement spots out of 20, meaning that you can have another DPS tower like g mini or engineer (assuming you have enough money lol)
not related to turret, but why isn't merc base and brawler on the list? they can do really high DPS

Merc base has insane burst DPS with riot guards but after that it sends out units too slow expensive for it to be a great DPS tower. Even with grenade launchers, you'd have to make sure they do not get overwhelmed by enemies by placing your main or sub DPS (assuming you have the insanity to use Merc base as main DPS). Better used for its 20% buff
Brawler is good yes but you have to micro alot. Even then, it's terrible for fighting major bosses and is unreliable for main DPS
hot take, i'd put golden minigunner in low S+ tier, its amazing for waves 9 and above for fallen, amazing CE, spammable with a secretly beneficial placement limit, and has great coverage from the massive amount that is FIFTEEN GOLDEN MINIGUNNERS, i use it all the time and usually get about 8 max, its also great for being a buffer zone between having dps to farm for even better dps options like engineer and gatling gunner. Its not held back by the fact of any mechanics that prevent buffing, which gives it alot more viability, because you're gonna want those extra placement slots for supports and sub-dps options.

At the end of the day, it's about your play style. If you love to micromanage, use the gatling gun or golden minigunner. If you go AFK, use the turret. If you like macro managing, use the engineer or the accelerator.

Ranger is indeed that on dps but that's because it reloads taking 7 seconds. So it's gonna give it a total of 7,350 per 7 seconds which is actually good and especially as you say, it's super reliable for all types of enemies because of flying, hidden, and lead detection and an explosion. And given the fact that it's 1050 per shot, it's not worth it when you have accelerator or turrets which are way more reliable

as someone who's recently gotten engineer ive found that i still use accelerator since it's level 3 just does so much damage and i feel like its very good against bosses before i can afford the more potent engineer upgrades. it probably needs a buff but ive found it useful still

Gatling Gun can actually bounce on surfaces, which means if the enemies are too low/high and if you can shoot at an angle where the bullets bounce off the cliff/ground, it will hit that enemy
another thing i think worth mentioning is turrets larger size on maps where space is hard to get its a pain to deal with although its range helps with that

So a really good build would be: farm for eco, ranger for (sub) DPS and flying, engineer for DPS, commander for firerate boost and cowboy for early game (offensive eco)

people are still overestimating regular minigunner, you shouldve mentioned that since minigunner strength comes from spamming it, at some point you'll run out of space where the minigunner can reach a good amount of the track, that means bosses will stay in its range only for a short amount of time.
5:15 This is untrue. The Golden Minigunner has an insane value of 8.22dps:$1,000 at level 1, which is insane, and it's why I think it's such a great tower.
The insane cost efficiency at lvl1 means that gmini is such an insane midgame carry if you spam them. The fact it's such a good midgame tower while also being a pretty viable endgame tower gives it such good versatility, as it doubles as a midgame and a lategame tower in your loadout. It can be a bit awkward to spam them when the range is kinda meh, but I still personally think it's really worth it.
Ranger was literally my main dps when i was doing hc with my friend, the fact taht i can just put him down there and he can just start doing burst chips to the boss as i was the one doing the early game makes it too good.in my book
Ive used sniper in wrecked hardcore solo, it was an amazing yet slow early game that is very versatile due to its range and attributes for a starter tower

9:42 it can be fully buffed, just differently. The overheat is faster, meaning he will do more damage every overheat cooldown meaning it will still be faster and will do more damage than a single accelerator
By what I mean he can overheat faster but he can end the cooldown between overheats faster if you get what I mean

fun fact: gatling gun does not have infinite range when in fps mode, it only has a insane range, you can test it by placing it on 1 side of the lay by map and trying to shoot a enemy on the other side of the map

Accelerator could be buffed up a bit imo, or should just get a complete overhaul in its gameplay.
Generally the largest complaint presented is the Overcharge/Cooldown mechanics, which are fine on paper but make the tower horribly inconsistent in damage dealing (something ive experienced far too often), and its gem cost is a bit much for a tower that is inconsistent in its purpose of just shelling enemies.
A probable fix (I'm not an expert at balancing stuff, only warship designs), would be to rework its overcharge/cooldown mechanic and just, generally increase its DPS. Overcharge works as normal aside from being faster, while its cooldown initiates at the end of a wave instead of when it goes above the threshold. (An alternative would be the tower 'cooling down' by still damaging enemies but generally doing less DPS, and then going back to its full potential once the guns cooled enough to take more of a punch.)
Again im not a game balancer but this seems like a decent way to correct its DPS/feasibility in a match.

crutial splash dmg and it's the best counter for lead balloon and I even use it to beat molten fallen and other gamemodes either

I bet the next skin they will add is the fortress mercenary base. It looks like a tf2 map and these are the units:

Man I feel like none of the current dps towers is really enough to solo fallen after the rework. Having one solid late game dps and early/mid game spam, was enough to solo fallen before.
But now I feel like that you need like 2 or 3 main dps in the same load out in order to actually solo fallen, farm is also not good enough and I have started to prefer cowboy for this reason, because cowboy is both dps and farm at the same time, which allows me to get extra damage while generating cash.
Accelerator is still a pretty great DPS tower. It's just there are towers way better than it. (Merc, gattling, engineer, ranger, etc)
