TDS has a total of 4 hardcore (gem) towers, each with their own abilities, traits, and uses. One thing they have in common though, is some insane strength! In this video, I take a close look at their stats, values, and capabilities, then give my personal ranking of how good they are on a tierlist. Enjoy!

One advantage of engineer too is since the sentries cant bw buffed, it cant be debuffed too. for example boss screams that decreases tower range, the sentries wont be affected and still have 24 range which makes it so good for event bosses

Honestly, necromancer at low levels can still be pretty good, especially when it spawns sword skeletons, those things shred giant bosses

Nah is not cost effective, the only way where level 0-1 necros can be used is in fallen Mode if you have way so low money and want to get somethig to defend the first fallens because the tombs of three level 0 necros can be enought to kill atleas 1/2 or abit more of the fallens but still way so rare, not to mention you need to place them one round or two before to get the tombs ready for fallens and in most of the time you Will have money to defend with something effective like g crooks minis accel engis etc that can happen maybe in quad games were two leaved and you are low of defence and money for wave 20 ( your teammate too) but that is way so rare , so that is almost not used at all and not effective because you literally need to play really uncordinated with your teammate and with low eco to really be viable using that
The worst level of necromancer is definitely level3 but yeah level 0-2 is not as bad as people think
that is if he spawn one in the first place, ecromancer spawn is heavily based on chances.

That is true tho, the only bad level is level3, 0-2 is not as bad as people think.

After I bought engi during the Christmas event (when elf army was released) I was kind of disappointed that she wasn’t even the best tower in the game (despite her cost) it went on to be even worse after they decided to nerf her😭 now that she’s the BEST dps tower, it’s kind of crazy after all that time, like FINALLY she’s worth something! great video btw dude👍👍
necro is so cool visually and fun to use imo. Also very engaging to use with the ability and the way that placement is very important. I just wish it had less rng; it's so dumb that sometimes it spawns 3 executioner skeletons and it's insane value while other times it spawns none at all and only a few hallow guards. I also think the placement limit should be upped to 4, feels kind of a waste to have it in your loadout since you can barely place any of them

I love Necromancer A ton because its the Literal Definition of "Sub-Dps Tower" Being Able to Support The Main Dps by doing extra damage. Using it with Accelerator and Golden Mini to providing incredibly Reliable AOE while the main dps covers its main weakness. Not to mention the skeletons it spawns being able shred fast enemies by existing. This makes its so much better when paired with Accelerator! - However the 5 slot limitation means you'd rarely take it over commander and dj unless you bring golden cowboy and replace it with farm
Eh necro isn’t bad as sub dps, but i use accel for sub dps and engi for main dps

funnily enough, necromancer isn't placed in the 'hardcore' category, it is in the 'event' category which is really wierd. I have the necromancer and it is placed there, idk if it is when you don't have it.

I'm guessing its placed there because it's only there for a limited amount of time.
It is because it was supposed to be only for a limited time but the devs just didnt remove it from the shop

The corsoblox plushie is an event tower with 33,3 points of cuteness for 1k spent. With great value and cuteness it is an easy S+ tier.
Accel lock targetting system is already improved in the latest accel rebalance
Once accel is charging, it may change the target that go cross over the last target
My favorite towers rn is necro it is fun too use when you know how to use it

The Splash dmg for Necromancer is useless imo, no one ever uses it

Man I nuked the fallen king when soloing, it's useful when used well (>30k dmg with three necros)
Its because it isn't really worth it to not spawn stuff just to wait for enemies to get on top of it and then finally using the ability. He does way less consistent damage and is a bit counterintuitive to use him this way if you placed him correctly.
Corso stop saying disformation about necromancer's executioner skeleton, executioner skeleton ain't damaging 50 for 1 enemy, it has 0.1 ticking speed that means he doing splash 500 damage at 30 range, and with 4 second cooldown time it has 124+ dps
thats only if the enemy is in the range for the entire duration. The actual damage ends up being 150ish, but at max range it'd be 500. Currently though... no it doesn't do that.
I would place the Brawler at the top of S+ because it is the first tower you would get and you can place 10 of them so you would get a lot of value with them. Plus, it only costs 25k to max it fully
Hi Corso. I think accel got a shadow buff, because (idk if u noticed) after overcharge the accel will actually attack the first enemy instead of the one he was attacking. This makes it much better and consistent. Please check it by yourself

If youre lucky with necro and get alot of exe skeletons then they all will do huge damage and wipe waves like crazy since they do 50×x Damage because enemies get often hit more than once

Fun fact: Accel targeting is fixed! After the charge run out it will target the first enemy now! No more locking
In my opinion necromancer's lower levels are still ok but you just need the right placement to actually make it a little useful
The most cracked skeleton that necromancer has is hollow knight. Like it deals 35 dmg every 0.6 seconds and you get like 4 of them every time you activate a max lvl grave which can shred enemies
One ability of the brawler that coros forgot to mention is that its also stun resistant
necromancer is Extreme good for all gamemodes if you know how to use the ability and for their piercing

hey corso , i have gems to buy brawler but should i buy brawler or save up for accel or enginner?
Sometimes u cant win some harder gamemode like pw2 or some event like lunar overture whitout accelerator so he is the best hardcore tower for me and for a cost of 2500 gems i think that fairly worth it for me
Become the best tier list tower not mean become the most useful tower. Sometimes still need Accel, imagine you want to kill thousand of High HP enemies in PW2 without accel.

its not the highest damaging tower anymore, engineer is the highest damaging tower. And engineer is better for hardcore (anti-climactic considering you need to beat hardcore 15 times to get her)
Before the acelerator just shot consistly and never stopped for overheat only for starting to atack but he dealth 25 dmg or 40
Corso sleeping on the necromancer with Commander 700 DPS and they get to the Executioner skeletons instantly
One time i got 3 executioner skeletons out of a necromancer summon, ngl it was cracked for like 2 waves

Necromancer deserves a buff or rework to make it worth 1,800 gems, the gameplay of this tower is really interesting.
if brawler is cheaper and better then accel that nerf gonna hit like a 747

I think they should have Necromancer at least three times and add ricochet for the main attack and the skeleton Knights and the Executioner skeleton if you don't understand what Ricochet is it is when a projectile bounces in between enemies
They should also reduce the cool down time for the attack and skeleton spawn add sugar increase the amount of graves that are spawned and increase the late game and early game in mid-game DBS

Nice vid! in my opinion accel deserves S tier. The fact that an accelerator have problem with targets, so it can be annoying. Also pursuit kinda better against bosses, bc fully stun immunity and has a bigger range. That doesn`t make accel bad, but in this way he deserves the S tier ngl.
Has problem with targets? Every game of wasteland is 4 people placing 32 accelerators with commanders and medics. It is S tier alone but with supports best tower by far.

I feel like levels 1-3 for necromancer misunderstood. Sure it needs some rebalances , yet it aint that bad. I use those levels before i max it out.
I think only level 3 is bad, but yeah level 0-2 is actually not as bad as people think especially if you set the targeting to strongest.
Level 3 is bad because it "upgraded" the max amount of graves.
The max graves at level3 is 7 but he generates 3 each time, this makes it so that he needs to generate an extra time while only generating 1.
I think it is better off if they "nerf" it from 7 to 6 and move that part of the upgrade to the max level from 7 to 8, i think it would actually make him better overall by not wasting so much time not attacking on level3.

Necromancer would be good if they did 2 things. 1. Make it actually late game instead of half assed early game (increase prices and numbers dramatically) have its "pierce" get a homing function where it hits 1 target then bounces, if there aren't any others it retargets and hits them again.
And for the love of god, make them summon graves faster and remove the damn skeleton limit (if you reuse graves it removes the original spawns, meaning you have to wait for the executioner you spawned to die.)
Accel is reliable on events or special maps but i do agree its unreliable although i dont have one

Only way I see necromancer being viable if they do these buffs. Make the graves consistent spawning the same set of enemies each time with the stronger ones being the last graves created. Increase dps in earlier levels. Make the grave ability stackable. For some reason if skeletons are alive and you use it again the others will die. Just remove that. Make max graves spawn instantly instead of having to wait to get the good ones. Lowkey thas it I feel like it'd be hella good if they did atleast some of this.

brooo i tried solo fallen with accel when i didnt used engi and i lost on a freaking hidden boss cuz they locked on the boss wich is annoying
well i always seems to get 2 or 3 exercutioner skeleton every time i spawn them but heres the problem they would always get one shot by breaker
