Could listen to the guy speak for hours, truly a intelligent human being.
David is very very very passionate and protective of his son. That makes him a great dad.
I have so much respect for David for his father personality.
What he said about what happened in the museum really impressed me. I had something similar happen with my daughter, only it was a woman pushing her around. Let's just say security was involved then too.
Disturbed is the voice of the people, crying for change.
Amazing voice. I thought he would have a deeper speaking voice. I think he is a good father.
I was usually very stereotypical about heavy metal bands. I am a Christian and usually shy away from this type of music.....until my adopted niece played Disturbed’s version of The Sound of Silence. Then, I stumble onto Land of Confusion, Shout by Tears For Fears. Then the big clincher was Hold On To Memories. Why mess with a good thing. I think David Draiman, Don Donegan and the other members of Disturbed are fantastic. How many times do you find a heavy metal band that touches you on some level. I have been branching out, listening to the more racier side of Disturbed, I still cringe a bit, but I am a fan
David, if you ever see this, you are an amazing artist with some major golden pipes. May God bless you.
Give bands such as Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, and RED a listen- those are Christian hard rock/metal bands that you may like! Skillet is my favorite band of all-time, and they've toured with Disturbed!
The more I hear David speaks, the more I'm hooked.
He would be an amazing life coach.
I love his attitude 😂 just how calm he can be and how he just talks and reacts
He seems like the coolest dude walking in this earth.
That story about his kid in the museum may seem excessive to some, wait till you have children of you own, that's pretty much the same reaction if have, don't know if I'd be that calm
+Dan Bourne That's my reaction, and I don't even have kids! I have worked retail though, and I hate the parents just as much as the kids.
+RagingIguana it is hard to bite your tongue when you witness unruley kids
+Dan Bourne not excessive at all, control your fuckin kids, its really simple. Shitty parenting is the bane of society these days, too many namby pamby clueless fools.
I'm only 16 and have no kids myself but I know thats how I'll be as a father
I have a 5 years old kid and I don't agree with David's position... unless the kid is really behaving nastily and his/her parents would not intervene on their kids' behavior, I think it is a mistake to intervene so heavily.... sometimes kids need to learn how to deal with difficult situations (for them) with other kids on their own, or they could start relying too much on their parents for protection for everything.
If another kid is just pushing my kid apart or simply trying to take a toy from him, I would not intervene unless the thing escalates..... I for sure would not beat the other kid's parents just because their kids touched mine... just my own 2 cents here
I LOVE this man!!! He takes NO BULLSHIT!!!
"I don't care. I will spend the night in jail for my kid. And then I'll find out where the guy lives and I'll go ahead and beat him up again once I get out." xD
This man is my idol
so OP so SWAG so COOL so WOW guy ,respect haha
so OP so SWAG so COOL so WOW guy ,respect haha
I'm right there with David on these words. It's the same for me - when I have to defend my family, all the rules go out of the fraggin' window. My kid was bullied at school once - I gave him my full permission to fight back, and told him if he gets in trouble with the school authority, I'll go and back him up. I was seriously determined to give hell to the father of that bully for not correcting his boy, or to the school principal for letting that boy bully my son in the first place. Fortunately that was not necessary - my son stood up for himself and the bullying stopped. My son had the courage to do it because he knew he could count on me to defend him. That's what the family is all about - everyone should be able to depend on each other, and it's the father's responsibility to defend his family. David... you are, and will always be, a hero to your son. And he'll love you forever for it.
@@loucipherpl7461 I totally agree, I parent the same way. I also gave my daughter permission to end a fight...he hasn't bugged her since (farm girls are stronger than they look!)
I was bullied in school for a couple years, except MY parents would give ME shit if I ended a fight. I'm not doing that to my daughter. I tell her to use her words first. If that doesnt work, then she has my full permission to finish what they tried to start...she ALSO knows that if she ever bullies someone for any reason whatsoever, she will have major issues with me. There's no excuse, ever, to pick on someone, and if you allow your kid to do so, then you're failing as a parent.
We have three boys, 15 months apart, there is constant playing, wrestling, bumping, running. Parents with one child tend to be more protective.
Very well put at the end when he said something along the lines of "There's something that they have as Disturbed that he can't find elsewhere, so why should he look". Disturbed is THE band. :) Disturbed was always one of a group of bands who got me into being a huge fan of listening to rock/metal music in the first place. WELCOME BACK, DISTURBED !!! (Thinking to myself : About freaking time they returned, LOL !!!)
I'd rather wait 3-4 years for a good Disturbed album than wait 1 and have it be shit
Aaron Wayne this guy gets it
Now that David has a kid he can teach him math, like DIVIDE DIVIDE DIVIDE DIVIDE
Dominik Vukelić hahaha I get that
And WA AHAHAHAH!
i really like david he seems like a good guy
he is....talked to him on several occasions. a class act.
+Jason Wilms well look at you big shot
I'm in the music industry in a professional sense....I meet a lot of musicians. These people are not untouchable in the first place.
Does anyone else like watching his piercings swing back and forth?
yeah xd
+CookieMUNCHER953 YAS!!! YOU READ MY MIND DUDE!!!!
+CookieMUNCHER953 didnt expect to read a comment like this
I thought I was the only one
+CookieMUNCHER953 It makes my chin itch
& I'm NOT going to just "TOUCH YOU".................LMFAO!!!
David draiman as a dad is like my dad honestly xD
David is like my mom. My little brother was getting bullied in school and my mom literally hunted the kids parents down TO THEIR HOUSE and threatened to put them in the hospital if she found out that their little shit was still bullying my brother. The bullying stopped after.

Can I just say how satisfying it is to actually see a guy care about his kid, it’s so rare these days in 2023
When you have “parents” out there that would rather record they’re kids crying they’re eyes out because they’re clearly scared of what they’re parents are doing and the sad thing is, they’re considered pussies if they actually try to voice what they’re feeling
David is a good guy and an even better father than most kids have currently sadly
that red background is so damn bright it hurts my eyes lol
I was thinking, yeah, teach that guy a lesson for your kid, then Ahahah Yas! when he said the thing about jail and beating the guy up after he gets out XD
and what if the guy is bigger than him?
@@XCashfull it's not the size of the dog in the fight it's the size of the fight in the dog
Mr wonderful from shark tank rocks
"I'm gonna be your parent "!,,right on!👍👍
I feel the same way about my kids that he does. Don't screw with the family.
David Draiman, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
id love to watch this as davids kid in 14 years
I may not be a parent myself, but I’ve spent a long time with my younger cousins (yes I’m aware that fatherhood is completely different). Regardless, I’m the sane way with family. You don’t mess with my blood. You can tussle with me all you want, but you lay a finger on my family and we have a problem.
James Hetfield of Metallica actually has a similar story with his son Castor.
Trivium's vengeance falls album was really good.
Such a laid back guy, a shame that people are pushing misinformation about his band.
wikipedia fact or fiction with an avenged sevenfold member *-*
David sounds like me when my kids were young. Don’t f$&k wit my kids lol. I may be one of a few 60 yr old Muslim women who is obsessed with his Music 🥰
damn straight david.
this video was released on the same day as slayers album, repentless (same year, too) (If you don't count year, it was also the same day as god hates us all)
My winky is sensitive to the touch
I LOVE DEVICE!
Dat temper
I wish device didn't break up and kept making music from 2013 to 2031! And for another I'm gonna be a dad myself someday and I'd die for my kids so I dramatically respect David not just for making good music but being a good Father! Anyone ever puts their hands on my kids I'll let it go once if they're a kid but the second time I'll knock off their block and I'll tell the cops that I'm the one who did it
Absolute badass #thuglifr
if you could see disturbed play with any other band which would it be?
Korn or Avenged Sevenfold
Disturbed Device, new side project. 😂😂
I'd be scared to also because Davids a fucking intimidating guy
i don't think he did anything wrong to that father.
they were bullying and smacking his kid and he just asked him to behave his kids, even though it was in a rough way.
it wasn't nice, but the father shouldn't bitch about it xD
Do think the clinking of his piercings ever annoys him?
First
I got the first like though
+Itz Rain nope, now you have first : p
much love
+Mike Jones get up to date with your comments dude. holy shit
2:41 more parents need to be like this so we won't have so manny snowflakes and fairies
i dont like their music , but he talks very good
Dear Marvin, are you starving yet?
Geesh. Every interview he has some bs story where he positions himself as this "badass" tough guy.
How about instead of acting like a temper fueled teenager, you teach your kid to stand up for himself?
What? Like being a bully himself? 😤
@@arabellabirnbaum3997 I love how you went from one extreme to the other lol. What a dumb fucking thing to say.
I have no respect for David Draiman for physically threatening another parents because that parents child is picking on his son. If David feels that his son is going to be picked on or bullied by another kid, then he should take his son to kick boxing school and teach him to physically defend himself. If the other parents don’t do anything to control there kids from physically abusing his kid, then you do the right by calling the police yourself and tell them that another kid is physically hurting his son. And then David says he’s gonna go to the guys house and beat him up. David has to understand this is not high school back in the 1980’s. If David hits another parent for not controlling there own kids then he’s not only going to go to jail himself, but also be financially sued for millions of dollars that he earned as a rockstar for physically, emotionally, mentally, verbally hurting another parent. David is not being very smart about what he’s saying about trying to protect his son. Does David think that this is the way rock stars should behave? I love his music, and he’s a great singer, but he’s gonna start losing fans and his reputation will be ruined and his own band mates could lose money for not being able to sell there music if he doesn’t learn to be a calm and mature person.
this dude wrote "the sickness" the corniest song in the history of heavy metal. however intelligent or whatever positive qualities you think this dude has it will never undo the gayest band ever that is/was disturbed
+mindbodylightsound10 Dam got him want a cookie
+mindbodylightsound10 ok...
+mindbodylightsound10 you can say what you want about the band. but do you know whats fucking funny about it? the "corniest song ever written" as you so describe got them all paid millions. and their "gayest band ever" as you describe, has made them more money in months then your ass will make in six years. so by all means hate on them. in the end, all you are is a sad talentless critic, pissed off because their favorite band didnt steal the publicity from disturbed. trololol on now. ive said my piece. your CLEARLY not a musician to be so disrespectful toward another artist.
***** wow. you sure showed me. i dont know how ill EVER recover from what was surely a long thought out insult.
Somebody doesnt acknowledge real music
