Great review. Your discussion of Peronism was unexpected but interesting and funny. I have a modern Beretta 20g Silver Pigeon. Awesome game gun. Fits like a glove. Light. Well balanced. And to use your word, has plenty of “slimminess”. Keep up the great work. Love your channel.
Thankyou
I love the fresh fish analogy. You're spot-on.
Beautiful ! Wood finish, amazing. Engraving, amazing. Straight stock, not so much, but I would be a very proud owner if I could.
Love this, beautiful Beretta ! Love the fresh fish counter of guns !
After this, they made the precursor to the 680 guns, the 56/57E series and they too are special. You will hopefully cover these sometime soon.
Looks amazing
Lovely lines and gorgeous wood. Being a 20 bore with such a small action mates the fine stock and straight grip to an over-under perfectly. Perhaps a little too fine to be a usable game piece but very nice all the same. Now, side plates would have finished it off to a tee.
TBH, if you don't have the provenance for the Peron connection then it's just fanciful whimsy 😉
Beretta makes amazing guns.
it sold at gbp 2300 !!
i know! mental, but clearly desirable
That is Beautiful!
Lovely. How much to get a Manuel Riccardo fitted custom stock replacement?
Superb..... Bloody superb.
Beautifull looking gun ❤️
As it were... Best gun review on the internet!
I have a Browning o/u with a straight stock, and in 60 odd years of shooting it is the most comfortable gun I have ever shot
A B2G LWG with a roach bellied stock is on my wish list
@@johnreed3576 mines is a B25 2G roach belly, Hadfield Guns Wymeswold Leicestershire, have one for sale
What a beautiful gun and in 20 in my mind makes if perfect. Where could I get information on a Beretta 20 ga. S55. Hard to find anything about it. Thanks for all your videos..
I was doing so well! God damn it!
Right, credit card warmed up and ready for
The early browning
Pair of Greener’s
F Beesley side lock
Or this, with a little left over for restocking.
Bloody hell johnny!
A fine work of an old Beretta era.
How about refering to lengths / weights in centimeters, milimeters and kilograms too, for all the channel's friends in the rest of Europe?
Again, excellent work directing our attention to non-12-bore guns.
I absolutely would buy that.
wow , it lovely , what quality from a mass produced gun .
Ugh! I want it! I hate that it's so hard to get these guns in the states....without spending a fortune. Mail it over the pond?? :)
Bloody Nice Wood !!!
I wish we could get guns like this for the price in the States
No bodies ever satisfied, I wish we could get guns like you do in the states, especially hand guns and rifles of differing calibre. 😉
@@Retired-Tom With great firepower comes great responsibility.... Will you die for the rich at any corner of the world for any ridiculous reason. Freedom comes at a cost, and it's not for reasons you may think...
Very nice 👍
What is the price estimate? I couldn’t quite make out when you mentioned it.
I believe he said 600-800 GBP.
They where all manual safety from memory .
If anyone wants one I know two for sale in Italy @6000€
Perfect for dove, quail and Ruffed Grouse. One of these days maybe.
Need you to put together some nice doubles for little luxury shop!
That would be fun!
@@tgsoutdoors it’s in Montana next to yellow stone club…….great upland game shartail, pheasant, blue grouse, prairie chichen.
We have no classy gun boutique….WESTLEY RICHARDS HAD SHOP MOVED FLORIDA….AHEAD OF THEIR TIME.
Nice gun! I wonder what it would cost to have it restocked in the UK or US.
£2k ish at a start
Would almost be tempted to see if beretta would do it
IMO, a better repair would be more desirable. Keep the patina.
What does that gun weigh? I would like to be able to find a sub 6 pound 20 gauge double barrel...
I have a Browning 725 Superlight 20. 5 lb 12 oz with 26 barrels. Kicks like a mule.
@@JHruby Really? I've shot my friend's that has the same specs and can't feel the recoil.
1953 was an excellent year! I have a birth certificate to prove it! 😆😆
The one gun iv bidded on
You and me both
@@tgsoutdoors I can't say that 😂
If anybody knows anything about perfection, it’s certainly Jonny
Is this gun for sale
just watched the auction it went for £2300, did you get it Johny?
No 😢 with the bulged chamber I didn’t fancy going that deep on it
First comment boys 20 ga. All the way
Bushcraft Australia NZ
Repairs and all I would still probably have bought it even though whoever removed the bottom plate was unable to realign the screw head properly. That's really annoying.
Your comment about declining standards is certainly supported by my observations and applicable to so much of 21st. century life in general.
I agree about screw alignment, I sent mine back and ask shop to align them correctly, which they did but not before being told I was ocd
@@johntozer8270 Then you learned something important about that shop! I feel the same way about wood-to-metal fit and would never buy a gun with wood proud of metal.
This now seems to be very common even among rather expensive guns. They have some sort of excuse for it, but that was never seen among best guns in the past.
@@wholeNwon with a well made gun the top of all screws are shaped and engraved to fit just as the wood , so if not in line not only is it unsightly you can feel them too
@@johntozer8270 ...by gunmakers proud of their artistry in metal, wood and engineering excellence. In 2 of my 120 yo guns, the barrel maker was so confident of his work that he placed his initials on the flats. That says a lot.
@@wholeNwon afraid my gun is only a 43 years old Belgian made Browning but in excellent condition
Holy out-in-the-political-weeds, Johnny. Was there even a gun review as part of this political science lecture?
Think the review got edited out….
Loved it
What about chambers there?
It says "Bulge top chamber"
It means that gun is dead!!!
I got the gun pre-cataloguing 😞
I saw that annotation which is sad.
To bad about the sling swivel...
They're the oldest organized manufacturing concern of any kind on this planet.
I like fish 🤔🙏
But only "fresh fish"
How tall are you out of interest?
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!! Take my Money!!!
Why not tell us more about the gun itself other that what we can see!! the locking bolt is different, the barrel and how it was made then to now and so on. yet again telling us what we can see. A standard TGS telling us nothing video.
Look at you getting all red in the face. Hilarious how mad you are
Peron and Ratlines is an interesting google search.
