Well I have no idea why I ended up here (I was a student over 25 years ago) however I did have regular interaction as a landlord with students in Manchester up until 4 years ago. The cleanliness thing drove me nuts, underwear on the floor, discarded pizza on the floor, bathrooms where the bath was as black as the bottom of my shoe, mould in the bathroom because they never open windows. There seems to be this acceptance that if you are a student it’s OK to live like a pig (not the way I was raised). After having to spend almost £10,000 fixing up one of my houses, I pulled the plug, I will never rent any of my properties to students again. It’s not all students, but too many have a total lack of respect for other people’s stuff.....oh and one of them once asked me how to change a light bulb, yeh really!
Yo this is SOOO accurate💀 I lived in student accom in Manchester last semester and literally EVERYTHING you said were facts! Especially circuit laundry, it’s such a SCAM😂
Every flat is different ngl but all I can say is a rota can help if everyone agrees to it but also establish from the beginning about keeping clean, hygienic and friendly as a flat as it’s your home for the next year and it’ll make or break your uni experience 😇 a gc is needed, good luck ☺️
@@tio.r053 oh yeah I only want en suite 😂😂 Also is washing really impossible with the washing machines or whatever at uni, that's quite an important part haha
@@rika-sama make sure you clean up after yourself and make sure others clean up after themselves too and don’t be afraid to name and shame the disgusting people 👏🏿👏🏿
Check out my playlist of videos on attending uni in Manchester! Shows what it’s like if you want a perspective of the outside uni times. It’s very diverse so you’ll find whoever you’re searching for trust me. Manchester is a cheaper London. Accommodations are always a mix of everyone but I recommend joining your ACS in whichever Uni you go to, you’ll be surrounded by bare black people. Trust me, I was you two years ago ❤️
@@tio.r053 thank you for saying this because i’m choosing between kings college london , uni of westminister, or manchester but i want to be around a strong black community.
@@tio.r053 lol i just might , i feel like it’s the right place for me ! i’m a sophomore going on junior ( i live in america ) but i just wanted to pick out my choices now lol but thank you for all the information
I wouldn’t recommend a singular accommodation, I stayed at cavendish place which I felt was the best that I came into contact with. Private accoms tend to be better quality. View all the accoms that interest you in person because they’re never what they seem on the website. Every accom is diverse because you don’t get to choose your roommates, they do that for you. Check through my playlist of attending uni in Manchester and feel free to ask anymore questions! 🤗💕
There’s a playback button where you can slow down the video otherwise there’s nothing I can do about that. Sorry, I naturally speak like I’ve got somewhere to be😂 🤍

Girl this is TOO accurate😂😂
Gabrielle Kaya did I lie?! 😂

I’m going mmu in September and sharing a flat with all girls and I’ll be the only boy. Do you have any advice

Only honesty on this side! 🥳
we will order a portable washing machine lol
People have done 😂😂😭
Omg your quality is bomb what do you use to record???
iPhone 11 Pro Max but it’s all about lighting! Good lighting helps ❤️❤️tyyyyy
I thought it was just my accommodation that had thin walls 😭😭😭
Elizabeth Fayehun could hear anything and everything! It was so annoying 😂🙃
7:08 so which accomodation should be avoided?
I’m ngl, any where you have to share a bathroom or have more than 6/7 flat mates 🤍✨

whats the name of this crack den accommodation hahaha thats where i wanna be
Any of them can be with the right friends 😂😂 but the ones I’m referring to are Naylor Townhouses in Birley (for legal purposes, I’m joking) 👀
I know this is not relevant but are there any black people. Please, I’ve been surrounded by too many white people

@@malin434 I didn’t, most places have an en-suite. There were only a couple of accoms that had to share bathrooms, wouldn’t recommend 🤭🤭
