makes me think about how much i miss my boy and how many days are left till i am dust and we are apart forever. maynard strikes such a deep emotional cord with whatever cohorts he is surrounded with and his songs often help me see where the fuck i am and helps me see i'm not alone. especially when someone else puts this kinda vid together that really makes that meaning pop out. the magical musical connection is a life saver. thanks for the vid man

My uncle died three weeks ago and I must admit that this song stirs something inside my soul and makes me think what happens to us when we die.That question has always fucked with me as it has many other people.That question is the main reason we have religion,people are uncomfortable with and afraid of the fact that we do not know why we are here or where we are going.Great music.

@@mikemaas9944 One of the many interviews where Maynard says this isn't about his mother....who knows if he's just screwing with everyone, wouldn't be the first time...but he IS on record saying this isn't about his mother---and a LOT of lyrics websites have something similar to Jorge's quote....Not saying it's right...just saying it's possibly not wrong. Any way you slice it, though, it's an incredible song.

"Ash and urn and this silent horizon" and "I should learn in this silent horizon" both are very fitting for mourning the loss of ones mother. And I know that this song feels like I felt when I lost my mother. I don't think Maynard likes to voice what songs meant to him, he wants people to find their own meaning in his songs, not his.

this song broke my heart when i first heard it .my family was ripped apart by ssri drugs .within a one year period every person except my son of 4 ,had been given those fucking drugs .slowly our home turned into a mad house like an evil curse we all turned on each other . we all thought we were normal .they left in hate .blaming each other.i had to sue for custody of our son so he could have at least half a normal life.she and her 2 kids [8 and 14] never spoke to me or our son again. poof , gone,swept away by prescribed insanity .
That is why I hate medications. They ended up making my 4 mental disorders worse (bi polar, ADHD, depression and psychosis) but they don't even care as long as they get their money. Your story is another reason why I hate big Pharma. It caused me to fight with my dad and other things I can't say on the Internet. Basically, they made me absolutely insane. I stopped taking them about two years ago and still recovering. The saddest part is, your situation is going to be a lot harder to fix.😔

***** i recently got some pot that has hardly any thc in it.it mostly cbd's 5/95 tested.it was for help with nerve pain and i noticed it is really calming in a not "high" way.if you can find it .try it.
regular weed makes me kind of paranoid .this stuff is unlike any weed i've had in 35 years.i feel that "normal " feeling .anxiety attacks suck and are embarrassing .i always smoked weed for it but holy crap ,the stuff grown today,is for getting wicked stoned.the low thc stuff is called , chocolope .
+immrnoidall Yeah but because of the other disorders I need a decent amount of THC as well as the CBDs. The CBDs help the bipolar, psychosis, and the anxiety while the THC helps me use the hyper focus that people have when they have ADHD. I need both for me. I am all screwed up. I work out, study martial arts and meditate and it really helps. The bad thing is if I freak out I can break someone's arm but, I haven't done it yet. I'm glad there has been back fire.

My mom died this year and was cremated like Maynard's mom. This song is really said and it hits home to me.
