This is a relive of my last few months on UA-cam. Good times.
The last "will you save me" from that song always gets me. Such powerful lyrics and what a voice Heavy Devy has.
devin townsend reactions is my favourite genre of film
Devy gives 1001% here... I've seen him a few times where he wasn't feeling great and couldn't pull this off... still great thou.
He mentions in one interview how he doesn't like screaming those high notes. It takes him one or two performances to get his voice right, he can maintain it a couple of performances, then he's about 70-80% for the remaining performances. It blows his voice out reaching for those. That's tough.
I did hear him say that and I do feel that he is his own harshest critic. I watched him on the first gig of a tour twice now and he was spot on.
Never watched any of these reactors/coaches before
I love this song and the reactions to it so much. I will say, the NJ guy was 100% acting amazed, but I don't think there was any emotion behind it. Superficial nonsense for views.
I completely agree. That struck me as well. "it's coming, it's coming... and not even listening to the song."
If you watch any of the others they don't really do much because they're really listening and their reactions feel incredibly genuine. It's what we want to see, but he is constantly fidgeting or playing up to the camera.
And then you find out he had the flu during this. Bruh!
