He’s basically saying, that since mega has shut down its website, it is a big mistake. Because if there are any new customers who want to learn about this fantastic product, then they can’t learn really about any previous set or archives. And it will not help the product at all.
Mcfarlane halo products are all archived on the website, categorised by wave and what game they're based off etc. Too bad the figures are so expensive now!
Honestly loved halo mega blocks back in the day only reason I stopped collecting was because of how hard it was to get sets. Had to come back for the falcon sweep tho that set was perfect
I see your point, but I think the alienation happens the instant somebody looks up a set with their favorite figs and sees one figure costs $40+, that's a fan lost.
The halo mega community is one of the strongest I have ever been apart of. I just hope mega can comeback with bigger and more frequent sets because we desperately need it.
I've always wanted a site exactly like bricklink for mega construx as to catalog sets and what parts they contain, and also to perchase parts you may be missing since its near impossible to do so without outright buying the whole thing on other sites
Wow. Let’s follow Simon’s lead and stay positive. When the new sets come out let’s show MEGA how quickly they sell out. I love MEGA HALO above anything collectible. Let’s keep this brand alive.
This is a sad day for us…I can’t express the joy I used to have looking at that site of the sets coming up and the past sets like “man that was awesome finding that” but I hope this line continues….
Damn, I remember how much that helped when I got my halo megablox stuff back out of storage and rebuilt it all, I was missing many instruction….I don’t think i’d still be in megablox if it weren’t for that site, I mean i’m not into lego anymore but for different reasons but similar, that being that theres so many pieces it’s impossible to put them all back together if you don’t spend a week, megablox has also had the perfect blend of not to many pieces, the figures being articulated, but it all being modular like lego, and of course the instructions were always easy to find….that is until now
This is just another example in a LONG list of bad Halo news us fans are very much used to by now....from MCX's website closing, to Jazwares' Halo distribution woes and QC issues of both their Spartan Collection and WoH lines, to the butchering of each 343 Halo game release for the past decade and counting, to the disparity in quality between Paramount's Halo show vs Sony's The Last of Us or Bethesda's Amazon Fallout show. The IP has been completely uncared and neglected for for a loooong time now.
I saw that and was horrified! I use that website all the time as a reference. Sorely disappointed at the lack of insight for Mega! That hurt a lot. They must rebuild that in a usable format.
I remember my 10th birthday I got my first xbox one with all the halos and I was so exited. when I got my cake sitting on top was mega fire team osiris, that was my first ever mega figure I remember having I mean I was 8 when I got one set that I barely remember but ever since that birthday I loved halo toys in general, I still have my locke figure to this day but mega has always been in my life since I was 8. I will always love mega even through their mistakes.
If you personally are archiving the sets then please make High quality copies of the sticker sheets! Mega may have copies but I severely doubt they will make them available for us!
I agree, Simon. One of the best features was being able to click on sub-factions. Like ODST type sets. Or I click on the old spec Ops falcon, it shows me other similar sets
i love this line and i started collecting it when i was like 6 and when i got to 7th grade i stopped collecting it and gave everything i had away but im 16 now and in 10th grade and wanted to get back into it and seeing how much of mega has been lost since i first started collecting is so sad to see and seeing how now at this time any and all websites/ URLs for mega are completely gone and how now it’s nearly impossible to find how to build alternate build instructions for sets after mega pushed so hard for them to be made and sold then just tearing them down and just how difficult it is everywhere to get sets and the ones you find being way too expensive it’s just such a sad sight to see
I loved that you talked about that, I am working on the MEGA WIKI, fortunately I was able to recover the HD photos from the mega construx page But it's sad that they closed the page without notifying the community.
Back in the day when I was collecting Matchbox and Hot Wheels, I found quite a bit of books that were well written and had plenty of pictures of all of the older models and their history. I wish either someone or a group of someones like yourself with the access and knowledge to these older sets and the people who designed them would make a book. Websites are great but can be shut down too easily.
This is sad because this year I wanted to get back into halo mega after about 10 years away. Seems it is next to impossible to find anything in Australia. We used to have a pretty good selection back when I was collecting. Sadly I sold 99% of my collection now
I am so glad there are people like you who are just as passionate about Halo Mega and are actively working to preserve all of the legacy sets that I personally remember like it was yesterday
Only collected for the last 9/10 months and used that website for wish lists and also to find sets I never knew existed it’s helped me want to collect more and start the hobby because I knew about all the past sets and figures I could get not just the present new ones
I worked at a Target back in 2009 and they had a Scorpion Tank Display in the backroom and i thought i was to cool to buy a display of a Mega blok set, i regret it to this day.
Great video, Simon! I'm really glad that you pointed this out and made a video on it, a seriously important topic that would not have been brought to us if it weren't for you! Also, I see that the views just keep going up and up, keep going Spartan, you've got the upper hand!
Sad news aside, I would love if MEGA made more halo wars 2 banished vehicles that haven’t been made before, the (banished) wraith, (banished) locust, (banished) spirit, methane wagon, super wraith, reaver, bilisterback, shroud, and skitterer (not really a vehicle)

I stayed until the end! My first set was Warthog Resistance and I am still absolutely in love with it. The Warthog, the figures and even the side build were incredible. I hate to see the state of this brand and I hope it gets turned around!
I started my collection about a year ago, and here in Brazil, it is very difficult to find Mega Halo sets, my favorites is the elites and I really like the old site with high graphics images for the figures, Mega really needs to make a new one or reactivate the old one and give more updates.
I'm super excited for that review on the UNSC turret. Was it announced ahead of time they where shutting down the website tho? This is the first I've heard of it
I think Mega should send sets to larger LEGO creators like MandRProductions. He did a review of the Ash and Pikachu set, and it seems like he enjoyed the product! LEGO has been pushing Mega out of stores, and a lot of LEGO fans might actually like Mega if they see what it is now. There is a bit of rivalry between the brands, and I believe that they could coexist. Both are good products, and it would be a shame to see Halo Mega fall.
Glad I wasn't crazy when I couldn't find it. hopefully something better can come out of this, as even the old site didn't have every set listed, but it was leagues better than unboxed
What the hell? I was using this site yesterday for a rebuild! I knew I should have downloaded those instructions... Ugh, very upsetting. Are these issues happening because of the Mattel buyout?
Unbelievable 😮 why did they do this to us what in earth are they thinking!!! I have been collecting for many years my first set was the Halo mega bloks Covenant wraith (1st one that came out) many more like the older sets will probably be lost or won't be able to see again MASSIVE mistake on your part MEGA the worst thing to do is turning the fans against them because that might happen because of this!!!
JangBricks reviewed a lot of Mega Bloks & Construx Halo sets, aswell as the CoD & Destiny franchises so theirs one place we can see a chunk of the sets
The worst thing about this for me is the community shut down, i remember how big of a community there was of people’s post and the love and happiness in the comments, all memories now
I worry for the future of mega halo :(….it’s already damn near impossible to get sets in my area, and now this :(……..it almost feels like they don’t want to tell us they are dying :(
I have been collecting Mega for 4 years I got sets released since the start of halo Mega. But last time I got a set was 6 months ago because I either can't find anything in stores. And if I bought online a halo univers series 3 blind bag is $40!!!!
I’ve been watching you for years! Unfortunately this is all so true. I’ve pretty much stopped collecting myself because it’s not worth the struggle or time. I’ve collected these since I was a little kid but it’s hard now
Hey Simon, appreciate your videos and all the things that you have done for the community. Could you please persuade Mega to resume Destiny line ? 😅 (Just trying my luck here)
Man it feels like we lost a good chunk of the Mega Halo lore now. Hopefully they can resurrect it in some way or our community members can recreate something similar to it.
I have a similar mindset about the loss of what is basically the official MEGA archive and database. It definitely affects newer collectors like me. Thanks for addressing it
I didn’t personally use the mega construx website but what worries me is that if I go on the mega instructions support website they have deleted some sets like the original pelican. I think this is something a bit more crucial to the health of the brand and should be talked about!
fans might have to legit scan there booklets soon to keep this info around for others who only have the sets etc. I kept 90% of my manuals from 2009 to right now. the
Can we use this moment to discuss how mega construx is treating canada?(And by extension a lot of other countries) I mean halo heroes series 14 was the last series we recieved, and for blind bags it was series 3 infinite. We have gotten nothing from the Halo universe toyline besides the box sets like the wombat. That means the entire hero and Blind bag and heroes collection that Mega construx has been advertising to "expand our army" and that Kevin MCX said was "For the fans" is just straight up not available to us, does that mean we're not considered fans? I mean we're being forced to accept Blind bags and heroes as the only way to obtain those figures, and yet we do not even get those things. I don't know how we are even supposed to get those figures at this rate, i've waited years for things to get better with Mega construx by actively buying their products that we do get and it has done nothing to fix the problem. We didn't get the xbox and I doubt we'll ever see guilty spark, that's how dire it's getting...
They shut down the site? Why on earth did that happen? The site was where i could look at old sets from years and years ago, as well as look at things i want to get in the future.
if not fans will have to scan the ones they have to upload in high quality. if not only way is the OG booklets which not everyone kept. I kept mine but this for all folks who dont have them or just own the set from coming into hobby years later. not good news
Ngl I'm not that worried about the Archie getting deleted but more worried about what it means in general despite well the new sets we're getting, kinda feel like the new sets that got leaked or shown are going to be the last before they fully close down
Having the archives are so very important. Especially with the fact that we can do pop and swap with these figures. I'm now not gonna want to do pop and swap for fear that if I ever want to put things back to the way they were I won't even have a clue where to start. I've been a collector since the mid-seventies of both toys and comet books. These are the greatest toys I've ever seen and that's why at my age I collect them. But when you collect comic book toys you still always have the comic books for information. The information for these toys are now gone and that is an incredibly sad move. I never bought these toys because I'm a Halo fan I never bought these toys because I'm a Halo fan. I bought them because I was a mega fan of what they did. And now I'm gonna lose all the archives for the toys which was part of the allure in the first place for me. This is a very Bad move have several that mega has made over the last couple of years
I collected the front and back panels off of all the boxes my first 6 or 7 years. But that stuff takes up a lot of space. So once we have popped in swaps I just looked at the listings on the Mega site if I wanted to return any figures back to the original version . The site also helped with knowing which weapons went to who.
This feels like a soft reboot happening, the website is a blow because of how helpful that information was, but with you leading the charge, i cant wait to see what this endeavor becomes my guy! 🙏
Hi Simon, sad this has happened, but it maybe an opportunity for us to preserve all, I still play Halo, and help my nephew buy Mega and play Halo, let’s see how it goes, oh btw I am 63 years younger and still love this stuff. Cheers CB and Black Cat Studios , 2024 ToyFest entrant (Nephew) 👍❤️🇦🇺
if halo mega gets cancelled, and even if it doesn't, I'm willing to support independent creators who make MOCs with instructions. Oh, and custom figures too
I've been collecting since the beginning of the brand, and even before then with Pyrates and Honestly it has been so heartbreaking to collect Mega Halo. No one at the company listens to us. I don't know if it's Mega or Mattel but the voice of the community feels like it's being ignored. Decisions like this honestly make me feel like they just gave up. It used to feel like Mega really valued it's fans and their creations but know we have to beg and beg for them to sell their stuff online. Mega just doesn't care about us or the Halo ip. They have no problem releasing constant Pokemons sets of the same 10 creatures 5 times a year and keeping shelves stocked.
as collector from the very being as well like yourself, Very sad to see path mega has sadly gone down these past few years here in canada you can barely find the stuff anywhere. I had to spend 100s of dollars just to get couple army builders from new blind bags here and there some of the new sets due to scalpers and crappy Canadian shipping.
@@minecraftys Please Please don't waist your money buying Mega from scalpers. It's just not worth it. It's rewarding the scumbags who are screwing everyone over while encouraging them to continue. I love Mega figs, but they aren't worth hundreds of Dollars just for multiple of the same figs. You could get so many better figures from different bands.
I hope mega, or mattel, reverses this decision. This website was such a great source of info for new and old collectors alike, it was really fun to go back and look at product images of some of my first sets and now we can't do that. All it would take is a few hours of work to move the archive over to the new website and it would make so many people happy.
Let’s keep this comments section positive folks! There’s still so much to celebrate. Please share how important the website is to you down below.

I knew something was up the other day when I looked up an older set on Google and the link redirected me to Mega Unboxed.
Great interesting point maybe you could make a mega Data base app ?
This is a very Bad move have several that mega has made over the last couple of years
So you dont have any boxes of the sets or the instructions?
I collected the front and back panels off of all the boxes my first 6 or 7 years. But that stuff takes up a lot of space. So once we have popped in swaps I just looked at the listings on the Mega site if I wanted to return any figures back to the original version . The site also helped with knowing which weapons went to who.

Megas historian detailing megas equivalent of the burning of Alexandria bummer man
This feels like a soft reboot happening, the website is a blow because of how helpful that information was, but with you leading the charge, i cant wait to see what this endeavor becomes my guy! 🙏
I know how you feel about the same about Bionicle
Will you do a review of the Arctic Burn wasp
This one hurts
Hi Simon, sad this has happened, but it maybe an opportunity for us to preserve all, I still play Halo, and help my nephew buy Mega and play Halo, let’s see how it goes, oh btw I am 63 years younger and still love this stuff. Cheers CB and Black Cat Studios , 2024 ToyFest entrant (Nephew) 👍❤️🇦🇺
Thanks so much for your support you two!
if halo mega gets cancelled, and even if it doesn't, I'm willing to support independent creators who make MOCs with instructions. Oh, and custom figures too
When Pokémon got in the picture it was one of the biggest killers of halo and other lines like call of duty and destiny
not really its cause activision deal with bungie ran out and the cod deal aswell
@@VonTTG well if mega drop halo I hope they pick up another one like fallout. That would sell well I think today
Hey domizzle, unrelated to the video (goose approved btw) but is there any chance youd start doing the clicky stop motion builds of sets again?
I plan to actually!
Someone should make a website where it has every halo mega constox that would be cool and you can buy and or sale that would be siiick
We’re working on it!
I’ve noticed for a while now
Why is there not a halo database like brickset is for lego?
I hope mega, or mattel, reverses this decision. This website was such a great source of info for new and old collectors alike, it was really fun to go back and look at product images of some of my first sets and now we can't do that. All it would take is a few hours of work to move the archive over to the new website and it would make so many people happy.
Wait! Does this mean the MOC section where fans shared their builds is gone?!
Afraid so
In an attempt to be optimistic….maybe they are revamping or releasing a new site? I hope they realize how diehard the Halo community is and refocus.
Since mattel bought mega things started to go, strange...
