I could almost feel the same joy they felt when they reached Phantom Lake! To see each person overcome fear, doubt, pain, and the unknown really makes you just want to be greater. Loved every second!!
P.S.- I was pretty sad it was over LOL

Finally! Good to see the final episode of this adventure. Looks like everyone grew in some way from it ... and if it was easy, that would not have been the result.

I binged watched all seven episodes last night, staying up til 4AM. Partly because I took nap earlier. I really enjoyed the show. As a reality show, it was very interesting but, there is a huge BUT.... As reality of life, it was immensely stupid and irresponsible to take so inexperienced riders on so inappropriate bikes on so inappropriate terrain. After I slept over, I felt urge to leave feedback somewhere. Please don't do it again. At least not the way it was done. You were very very lucky. As my priest once half-jokingly said, "Don't look for devil and God will help you." (Devil having a meaning of trouble, not literally a devil.) I understand that inexperience of riders was what made the show interesting but, they were all very lucky that it didn't turn out way worse. Losing half the crew, three of them ending with injuries and at least three of them with serious emotional scars was far from victory. I would put myself through serious introspection to examine my motivations for such recklessness. I myself rode with groups few times and I have mixed feelings about it. It is difficult to find even good riding partner, let alone a group. We bikers are somewhat loners which is why we ride to start with. Combining physical strain, huge risk and constraints of the machines and riders themselves in certain conditions, I find many bikers becoming self-centered and somewhat heartless appearing in difficult situations. I hope that people in the production can find better format to make such interesting show without putting participants in so much danger.

oknevals good feedback. There are several points that really resonated with me. I was touched by the experiences of all these precious people, and imagine that many tender and precious conversations and event transpired during the trip. I do not have an dual sport/adventure setup and my riding is all road and highway. It is a very powerful thing, traveling by motorcycle. It strips us down and exposes the raw nerves of our soul...

@@lewross8709 I actually enjoy dirt/adventure riding as well as hitting road for hundreds of miles, camping and whatever on motorcycle. I've been riding for close to 3 years and 20k miles so far. I demo rode 25 motorcycles (road and dirt) to get clue about different machines. I still consider myself a novice even though my skills far exceed some of those guys' . I would still think twice to take on some of the things those guys did. I've put myself in similar and more dangerous situations due to my own stupidity and overestimation of my skills. The role of the leader is to recognize those and assure safety of those following him. As a leader, he failed big time. I'm sure people felt accomplishments (I know I did) but, it doesn't reduce the fact that it could have been done with more wisdom and less hurt.

@@oknevals I agree with you and the posters above. Kudos to all the riders with the exception of the leader.

I strongly agree . Maybe next trip you could have a little practice session so at least get some basics under their belts. Ya so also bike selection should have been some drz 400 s chuck would not have got hurt .

Entertaining content as a rider for 40+ years, but I’ll call out the decision to take inexperienced riders on a trip like this and then edge/pressure/force them out when they became an inconvenience. Actually telling the one guy “you can’t hang with us”. Lame and selfish when you put the group together. If you want a high level ride, you should have selected higher level rider. Also, what was that one line, “if I never ride in the highway with “”these guys”” that would be fine by me”....feeling may be reciprocal. As the saying goes, point your finger and you may find ten point back.
