Ah, the shower watch. I think I saw 3 guys get put on shower watch. One of which was roomates with one of my friends. I recall the most insane part was when he was pressed about wether or not he had used deoderant that morning, to which he answered "Yes" to immedatly have the Petty Officer open the deodrant, and the little plastic thing was still inside. He was also weird. One of the other guys who got put on shower watch, was weird as well, he was the one who was training with a samurai sword on one of the frozen ponds on base. I only ever saw him out there training, and heard the stories about him. Submarine School was a weird place.
All you had to say was sub school haha, I knew a few people that SHOULDVE been on shower watch, but only knew that one that was lol. I did know a few samurai sword type guys though, whether it was specifically a samurai sword or some other affectation
when I was in the navy I had to be the guy to watch are guy that was on shower watch I had to stand at the shower with the curtain open and tell a grown ass man how to wash himself and make sure he scrubbed in his cracks every night...
It's wild that this has to be a thing for any adult haha. I feel like everyone in the military probably knows at least one person that was on or should've been on shower watch.
@@runngameentertainment there was a small chance! The linguist field has a lot of quirky people to say nicely lmao. I was in the marines and we had someone go shower watch too, about a decade ago. You could smell it in the hallway so we started by giving hints, folks leaving shampoo and whatnot in front of his door. direct communication didn’t work either, and we felt for the guy’s poor roommate so our plt Sgt put him on shower watch. Dude eventually got sep’d for drugs and the hallway stopped stinking.
Yeaaa there's a few rates/MOSs that when you hear someone has it your like "yea that dudes fing weird haha. And yea there were a few I knew that should've been but most got hit for drug use, this guy was just a damn weirdo haha
I mean basically what I described in the video. And It's not an American thing so much as a military thing. Someone was forced to watch and ensure that he was taking an actual shower.
@@runngameentertainment I genuinely wonder why they're allowed in, and how they survive basic training. You'd think the military wouldn't want these people.

That’s worst than me going to medical and doing suicide watch.
Like you were the watcher?
@@runngameentertainment yep! Some dude was sent to medical for suicidal thoughts, had to baby sit him.
Huh, for the most part I've just seen people sent to the ward. Only time I saw someone be put on watch and not sent to the ward was in A school
@@runngameentertainment I’ve seen’t a lot of stuff on deployment, I even had to do morgue watch on the ship.
As like the honor guard? The whole escort the body home thing? Or were there suspicious circumstances?
Sounds like a very DLI thing to do lmao
Oddly enough not DLI, Sub, or Nuke haha
