Robin McLaurin, a renowned American actor and comedian, was born at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, on July 21 in the year 1951 and was raised in a family heavily influenced by art. His father worked as a top executive at Ford Motor Company, while his mother was a former model from Jackson, Mississippi.
Williams attended a public elementary school in Lake Forest at Gorton Elementary School and had his middle school at Deer Path Junior High School. He described himself as a quiet child while growing up and did not do away with his shyness until he joined his high school drama department.

I highly recommend watching "The Fisher King" That was such a good movie.
To me, if you become known as the funny man on TV and movies. When out in public the masses especially with children would want you to be Mr. Funny Man; this being his "act" In time in his mind and others the "act" is what people want not the real me; leading to depression. I was there acting for others and it almost caught up to me.
His was one of the very few celebrity deaths that truly affected me.
