lifelong Lions fan here. Honestly out of all the teams i’m not upset it’s Minnesota having the success. They’re a likeable team with great talent and coaching. Hope both teams come out healthy and looking forward to Sunday night

Division love affairs never work. Lol. You will soon be hated rivals, every time you play. Especially if they both remain contenders. So today enjoy your love affair. Tomorrow that love will be a bit more one sided. If/when they meet in the playoffs, you won't even look at the other, because you can't stand the color of their jerseys.. How bout the steelers/ravens for example... Lol, I'm just playin, but really I'm not.. SKOL VIKES!!! CRUSH THE MOTOR CITY KITTIES!!!

Regardless of the Vikings outcome this year, enjoy the time you have! I hope and pray you have a miraculous recovery. Minnesota winning a superbowl would be phenomenal
Been a Vikings fan since I was a young kid in the mid-90s. I remember the 1998 team. I remember the 2009 team. I remember the 2017 team. I have never, ever, been this excited to see what is going to happen. Win or lose, this is one of the great years to be a fan. 10 in a row for K. O.! 10 in a row for K. O.!! 10 in a row for K. O.!!!
Then you don’t remember 1998 well enough. We would’ve won the Super Bowl if Mike Smith would’ve stayed in bounds and ran the clock down! And if Gary Anderson would have made the friggin field goal and continued on with the NFL record for consecutive made field goals INSIDE THE DOME!!! Randall Cunningham and Randy Moss+Chris Carter! Dude this year is our year! Everyone is healthy! We have a Super Bowl caliber defense (that needs a nickname) everyone is Vibing! No toxicity in locker room and the only variable is Sam! If Sam can carry on, and don’t crumble under pressure he’s never played under. The only Question is what are we gonna do with all these fair weather fans that’ll come out the woodwork. 🤮
In my lifetime watching the 98 team 09 team and 17 team those teams to me were always the better teams but we still lost..the little difference but a big one is those teams did not have the better coaching..until now this team actually has a top 5 coaching staff if not higher and I have never seen that with a winning Vikings team
@tres311 oh I remember that year vividly, though I was pretty young. I think what makes this year more exciting is that talking point at the beginning of season, "Rebuilding year." This was supposed to be only a 6-win team, but they just keep showing up week after week. And maybe I'm more excited about this year because, well, it's happening right now, but that '98 team was truly special. Randy Moss' rookie year. That Thanksgiving game. Chris Carter's spectacular 1-handed catch. It was all unbelievably awesome.
Well as a Detroit Lions fan I will say that you could feel this has been building all season long and I knew it would come down to the last game of the season and here we are! This is about as good as it gets! Both teams are playing great football, they are both well coached, they both have great players! The showdown in Motown! Go Lions! One Pride!
Been a diehard Viks fan for 50 years, I remember the 70’s teams as a kid, this team and coach are the best we’ve had since then! Soo excited for this team moving forward we have great ownership and coaching! I can’t wait to bring the big one home!!

Been a vikings fan since 1961 when I was nine years old and it was a long time. Tony Dungy was our quarterback at the University of Minnesota like 1972 or1973 after his NFL career was over, he became defensive coordinator of the vikings, we had him hear and we should have hired him for our head coach, after all he won a super bowl.
Tony Dungy is a treasure. He exudes a pure joy for the game. He's gracious, quietly confident, and speaks with a clear voice. He doesn't overhype. And he has insights from years as a player and coach in the league. I wish more commentators and analysts could be like this guy.
Dungy the Jackson MI native. My hometown. We Lions fans love Dungy for his success as a Michigander. Wish he was more of a Lions supporter but it’s understandable.
Born in Jackson myself, known Tony and his family for a long time. Not surprised he is leaning Vikings, but I'm hopeful he will be proven wrong in this case. Go Lions!!
Been a Vikings fan since 81 . This is a legendary Vikings team that I’m proud of . This will be a close one and we win most of the close ones . SKOL !! Vikings
Can’t wait for Sunday night!!!!Going to be a hell of a game!!!!Go Lions!!!🦁 Onepride!!!!#AllGrit!!!!Much respect to Vikings!!!!If he don’t win the whole dam thing hope u guys get y’all first Super Bowl win!!!
Was at the 1991 game when Lions beat Dallas in playoffs at Silverdome. That was the Lions last important game before losing to SF last year. Praying for good outcomes for Detroit and praying for no more serious injuries for all teams!
Been a Vikings fan my whole life (and I'm also old enough to remember Tony Dungy as the Gophers quarterback, #9). This year's team is special, and different in many ways from past teams. They tend to make the clutch plays again and again, whether it be on offense, defense or special teams...they just find a way to get it done. There are no prima donnas in this group, either, as there are on most teams. They are a true TEAM in every sense of the word. I feel good about our chances to win it all!
I’ve been a fan since 1975. Migrated from Vietnam. Fell in love with the Vikings at the age of 9. Always will be a Vikings fan! Hope we will win our first Super Bowl in 2025. SKOL!
Spendid interview. This is going to be a great game. I'm a huge Vikings fan, but this will be close. If both teams are "on" for all 4 quarters, it will be a fourth quarter war!
Been watching the Vikings since 1968 and watched all 4 Super bowl losses. There is nothing more devastating than losing that game. Back then if you would have told me the Vikings wouldn't reach another Super bowl until i was my age i would have said you were crazy. This team needs to take advantage of this opportunity and get there. GO VIKES!
Fond memories of the Vikings growing up in the UP. Lots of purple fans including family members. 6 hours from MSP, 4 from GB so growing up as a Lions fan since 1970 when I was 8, was a sad life in a sad era! Lol. But who didn't love Bud with his boys in short sleeves during a blizzard at the old Met?! Fran, "Ground Chuck", the "Most Honorable" Alan Page, etc. If my Lions have to wait longer and don't get the job done this year, I'm rooting for the Vikings. It'll be fun tv for sure!
With Patrick Jones out for this game watch Jihad Ward and especially Dallas Turner to get to Goff. I think Dallas Turner is the fastest of the four edge rushers and I predict he will have a monster day. I know the young man and he is dying to prove he was worth a first round pick. There is no doubt the Vikings defense is in far better health than the Lions who are totally decimated. Both teams can score a ton of points, but only one can stop the other one on defense. The last game has little meaning on this one! The Vikings are better now, the Lions defense is worse now and that game was a two-point difference. The Vikings were ONE 3rd down conversion away from winning that game, they will win this one. I predict Vikings 45-34 win and Goff gives up three picks. I think the Vikings will have a one score lead late in the fourth quarter and they will seal the game before the 2:00 minute warning.
Goff gives 3 picks ..? Statistically, the QB more likely to give it up is Darnold. And the Lions defense might be injured, but they still have a few key players there. Like Kerby and BB at safety. Who will have at least one pick each. Probably a LB, too. But a random one, like Nowaske off a tip ball. 41-27 Lions.
When I think of The Detroit Lions I always think about the old days when the QB was Eric Hipple and Gary Danielson and they had the original #20 Billy Simms. And the Vikings had Walter Paytons brother Eddie Payton on the Team.
Well my vikes need to buckle up n show up tonight n let the rest of the league know were coming for lombardi if we dont get stagnant tonights game will be a stepping stone on the way to greatness .fingers crossed this is the year #skol
If you look at Goff’s completion percentage when we only rush 4 and drop back in coverage it’s not nearly as good as against the blitz. I think not blitzing as much might be the better option.
From a loooong suffering Vikings fan to all the Vikings fans out there who believe that this is our year...Let me tell you a story....back in the day when Sam Darnold came out of the draft, I was talking to a co worker of mine who just opened happened to be a Jets fan at the time who asked me what I thought of the pick and I replied that I thought that they had lucked out that they were able to get him.... sometimes later I was talking to another co worker about the state of the Dolphins defense I distinctly remember saying that I thought Andrew Ginkel was a helluva player....and when the whole Brian Flores deal was going on that I thought they were losing a helluva of a coach. The stars have aligned. ...THE VIKES WILL THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR.Its in the bag...😮 and did I mention the Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup last year?....
Been a Vikings fan since late 60s....4 superbowls...zero wins. From The Purple People Eaters, Bud Grant ( Winnipeg Blue Bombers ) & Joe Kapp ( BC Lions ) both came from the CFL and quickly established this franchise dominance....then Tarkenton ! Today...They have The Coach...Kevin O'Connell and a QB with heart, Sam...and a VERY STINGY well coached DEFENCE...Ingredients for SUCCESS....look out Lions and others !
I have been a lions fan my hole life but I just recently learned that you backup qb has died in a car crash so I hope u guys can keep fighting for him and I wish u luck for your next game vs lions
It is just hard to not like this Vikings team and coaching staff. That being said, I really want to see them lose to the Lions today. Sorry Minnesota fans, but I've been waiting too long for this.
I think the fact that almost everyone believes Minnesota overachieved; could signal a possible let down. Detroit is banged up. Since week 4. I wonder if these teams are not equal, and one team demonstrates dominance. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I think Vikings are not as sound as Detroit. But usually in the playoff's teams' distance themselves.
I appreciate Tatum going to bat for the fans. Dungy, respectfully, we don't like your sound logic of our coordinators going on to do bigger better things.
It's awful for me as a lions fan to.say this....but completely due to injuries....Vikings.will win by double digits! Offences are.a.wash....but the vikings will he able to make.some defensive stops and.the lions will not.
Don't quite follow your logic. They're both playing for the exact same thing. How is "all" the pressure on the Lions exactly and nothing on the vikings? I'd say there is more pressure on the Vikings. They have to play in Detroit, at least this Sunday.
Ken from N.C. Joyful Joyful I've been waiting all my life. The Lions have never been there. Sorry Minnesota too many prayers said too stop them now. God is answering our prayers.
Been a Vikings fan for over fifty years. Been a lot of disappointment. The Drew Pearson push off, the Gary Anderson miss, the Farve interception in the NFC championship...well you know.
I had to laugh at "a lot of disappointment". Try being a Lions fan since dinosaurs roamed the earth. The NFL actually made a film mocking them and their entire history a few years ago, can you imagine that?, the league you are in (that is supposed to be unbiased - double LOL) makes a film mocking their own teams history?? THAT'S what it's been like to be a Lions fan! My "favorite" NFL moment was when we had a guy named Calvin Johnson, it was a huge game and he caught a touchdown pass, and he basically did the entire wedding version of "The Hokey-Pokey" dance in the end zone, then when the dance was over he tripped and set the ball on the ground LOLOLOL "After video review - incomplete pass!" LOLOLOLOL!!! You know what NFL stands for right?? "Now F(blanking) the Lions"!! I'll be surprised if a bad call doesn't decide this one!
Has Ben Johnson ever had a problem scoring points on BFlo? The Lions against the Vikings D is a bigger advantage than the Vikings O against the Lions D. Sam Darnold already got his big water bottle shower. Time to crumble under the pressure, just like Cousins.
His point being Detroit started the season as a lock on the NFC, while the Vikings were expected to win only 6 games. Not hard to understand his point.

People talk! Take Minnesota getting +2.5, with a back-up quarterback.
Detroit can score 40 points with no defense. A few stops they score 60.
Dungy would have been another Bud Grant for the Vikings if they wouldvof gave him the chance...
Leave our coaches alone Tony!
Lions win ..38-27
The Vikings have not been in a atmosphere like what they will experience Sunday night. Ford Field Fans will be a big difference from the jump.
I was driving by on 494 and honked. I guess Tony didn't hear me.
I appreciate Tatum going to bat for the fans. Dungy, respectfully, we don't like your sound logic of our coordinators going on to do bigger better things.
Lions 🦁
7:28 no disrespect but, shhh coach! We want those coaches to stay here in Minnesota!
Why are you airing a video of someone actively encouraging teams to poach our staff?
No is watching but Vikings fans and Lions fans. Are we all GMs and owners...?
I’ve watched the Vikings roll over teams and then get to the Super Bowl and just get slaughtered. One play at a time.SKOL
ITS GOING TO BE TOUGH IM CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC
Crazy that the winner of this game could very possibly be hosting the "loser" as their first playoff game opponent after the bye.
It's awful for me as a lions fan to.say this....but completely due to injuries....Vikings.will win by double digits! Offences are.a.wash....but the vikings will he able to make.some defensive stops and.the lions will not.
The pressure is all on Detroit they know they have to beat the Vikings twice in the next month in order to get to the super bowl
Vikings lose in the Wild Card round...
Don't quite follow your logic. They're both playing for the exact same thing. How is "all" the pressure on the Lions exactly and nothing on the vikings? I'd say there is more pressure on the Vikings. They have to play in Detroit, at least this Sunday.
@@barrydavey7188 And then you woke up LOL Vikings#1 SKOL.........
One of the biggest mistakes the Vikings made was letting Tony Dungy leave the organization
Let’s Go Lions!!!!
Tony.... zip it about Flores please. 😂
I don't think this staff is gonna split. They know what they have.
Also. You said moniker xD
Say it slow. Way too funny.
Very good year for Minnesota. Lions in a close one. Since 1965, GOLIONS .
Ken from N.C. Joyful Joyful I've been waiting all my life. The Lions have never been there. Sorry Minnesota too many prayers said too stop them now. God is answering our prayers.
Brock Wright will be used. The Vikings will be watching the big name players. Brock will score a td.
I'm a bit surprised he was working so soon after one of his sons had just committed suicide over the holidays.
Vikes offense versus Lions defense, how do they expect to win, seriously? Lions are favored, really?
How? The Lions will have more points on the board at the end of the game...
Lions offense is unstoppable… don’t be naive.
Has Ben Johnson ever had a problem scoring points on BFlo? The Lions against the Vikings D is a bigger advantage than the Vikings O against the Lions D. Sam Darnold already got his big water bottle shower. Time to crumble under the pressure, just like Cousins.
Yet Dan Cambell has 14 wins with a mostly 3rd string defense lol. Oh you're missing your rookie QB oh no.
His point being Detroit started the season as a lock on the NFC, while the Vikings were expected to win only 6 games. Not hard to understand his point.
