Thank you so much :D and I didn't mention those as, although they are contenders in terms of length, Sarco and Deino take the cake in terms of weight from our understanding so far
Also there are still marsupial carnivores around like quolls and Tasmanian devils from the Dasyuridae, which are all fairly distant to not only Carivora, but all placental mammals.
I do remember the imax noise, and also another example of non Carnivora mammalian carnivore is the Tasmanian Devil as well as the recently extinct thylacine.
You can thank the Tethys Sea being closed by the Indian subcontinent and ocean levels dropping by glaciation for the prolonged Ice House condition of the earth. With less overall water and warmth the environments that allowed for crocodilian diversity crashed. This caused soo many differing families of crocs to fall into extinction. And of course our impact is also partly to blame for their seemingly lack of diversity.
This is cool and all but I still wanna know if there has recently been more information on Giganotosaurus or charadontosaurs if I spelt it right, like size estimates, more stuff about them like how people know Rex skin impressions and other things…
George Lucas's THX cinematic sound system. More specifically, this was the sound check that played shortly before a start of a film, both at cinemas and on DVDs.
Taxonomic names are sure paradoxical. This video talks about pseudosuchians, which includes modern crocodilia, yet the name means "false-crocodiles". So crocodiles belong in the false crocodiles group.
I have to wonder about the reproduction rates of the crocodilians dinosaurs... I love in Australia where salt water crocs reign supreme in the tropical North... We loose quite a few American tourists because they believe they are no more dangerous then their alligators and Caymans... Here however they are apex predators... Very generous... Wee used to hunt them for their skins until we hunted them to almost extinction. However once hunting was stopped, there population re-established themselves very rapidly. In the 20 years in which they have been protected they're numbers have returned to excessive populations... Adults having no natural predators and are only vulnerable during the 5 years in which they are considered juveniles... To resolve this problem vendor crucified are very protective of their eggs in their nests and this protection continues after hatching and they will prefer their trying until they become juvenile.... Hatching are only vulnerable to large birds.... In general could we assume similar behaviours from dinosaurs in their protective nature's of their nests, eggs and young or were they left to defend themselves like turtles do. Do we know anything about the protective behaviour of female dinosaurs with their young ❓
This is a bit like saying "Aren't humans amazing because as therapsids we've survived all the major extinctions." Practically all pseudosuchians failed to survive the end-Triassic, most crocodilomorphs failed in the Jurassic or Cretaceous, and all land based ones failed in the Miocene. One small clade of eusuchids survive to the present day. The body plan itself is the only thing that hangs all these species together by a thread.
You mentioned wall versus a part of carnivores what about and y What do they classify as if not carnivores ? ou mentioned whales or not what about sea lions seals first seals elephant seals et cetera are the considered carnivores even though they're episcopores entirely? What about sea otters Men can see otters in general or mustelids Of any kind coming from weasels and Stoats pole cats and Wolverines? They are also carnivores are they not many of them are insectivores but many of me fresh meat or fish of odors eat fish wolverines eat fresh meat or fresh frozen meat from kills ferrets and weasels stoats herman's otters sea otters Etcetera.
Carnivorans = members of _Carnivora_ ≠ carnivores = animals that primarily eat meat. For a terrestrial example, Tasmanian devils are very aggressive carnivores, but don't belong to Carnivora because they're way over on the marsupial end of Mammalia.
@@subraxas I’m a teenager. Almost every movie I watched as a kid had this and I remember it being my favorite sound effect from anything. Literally one of my favorite parts of watching the Star Wars OT was this intro at the beginning +the Lucas films old intro .
4:30 - And what about the Gryposuchus and Euthecodon?
Thank you so much :D and I didn't mention those as, although they are contenders in terms of length, Sarco and Deino take the cake in terms of weight from our understanding so far
That sound effect bruh, I’ll never forget it
THX
They were adapted to running on land, swimming in the water, snapping fish, and even chewing plants, cool!
5:21 - This looks like a phytosaur, rather than a crocodilian.
Clue: The position of the nostrils.
omg I didn't realize how long it had been since I heard the THX noise. Love the video! crocs are so cool!
THX vamp made me feel quite misty-eyed. Signed, your grandpa's big brother.
ok, I'm old
and indeed, may "croc" kings regain their crown one day
Long live the crocs. Especially since alligators have the cutest pudgy little arms.
The THX sound!

Well well, my boy is learning more and more
I do not recall a terrifying THX sound from any media, except the Dr Dre version on his LP 2001
TURN IT UP!! -Grandpa Simpson
You triggered my ptsd with that noise 😂
I do remember the imax noise, and also another example of non Carnivora mammalian carnivore is the Tasmanian Devil as well as the recently extinct thylacine.
That's not IMAX, it's the THX Deep Note sound check! 😂
@@dragonl0ver945 I meant THX sorry.
The crocs with legs underneath scare me the most! Thank goodness they didn't survive
I haven’t heard THX in forever
Crocs?
The footwear company?
:D
THX for this video 😀
I remember the THX theme.

100% saw the title and thought this was about the plastic clogs
LOL!!!
Carnivorous marsupials, like the Tasmanian Devil, are also fully carnivorous non-carnivorans
Yep!
THX The Audience Is Now Deaf
Yep THX
They remind me of Turtles in that they found a niche and just kept it.

Awesome!
What was the benefit of crockodillians giving up legs held under the body to returning to legs splayed out to the sides?
To get more streamlined when in water, I guess.
The scary noise does sound familiar but from where? Is it a song intro?
It's digitally remastered in THX
George Lucas's THX cinematic sound system. More specifically, this was the sound check that played shortly before a start of a film, both at cinemas and on DVDs.
That noise where that from? Crazy I remember that

Not precisely. The "real crocs" rather evolved from the "false crocs".
