This is a 400HP BMW Motorsports V12. The engine code is S70; the engine code for the McLaren F1 BMW M V12 is S70/2 and S70/3. It's a variation of the same engine used in the McLaren; there's no reason to believe that it couldn't sound like this.
The V12 of the 850 is known for it's almost perfect balance . You can balance a coin on it's side without making it tip over. I think you can find some vid's of that right here on youtube.
@partyguy9 the ci is the normal i ^^ c=coupe and i= normal gasoline the ci has 300 hp and the csi have 380 hp both v12 engines! i hope i can help you with this ^^
this sound COULD come from a 850, since the startet sounds exactly the same as they usually do in the 850's. And a murcielago starting up sounds a bit different. MadWhips uploaded a video "Lamborghini Murcielago Start Up Sound " and that sounds a bit different. @HeroCna yeah that may be true, but the starter in the 850's is loud. there are more videos around here, where you can clearly hear it even from a bit away.
Let's clear this up, the 850csi had quite a large 5.6 liter v12 in it, which required quite a large high torque starter, which subsequently made a noise like you hear in the video. And it would absolutely destroy your 530 series haha, just sayin:)

I bought one for 9800 had to talk the guy down a lot but it was a mint condition 850csi with only a little scratches but I hooked it up big time !

@kringledingleren - It's an audio track with some images stuck onto it so it's not a blank screen. But that's definitely a M73 from the CSi.

The S70 in this 850CSi is quite a different engine than the M70 in the 850i and the M73 in the later model 850Ci .I think the sound is real.
