Absolutely marvelous Rob & thank you for taking the time and all the work which has obviously gone into this! I am visiting the Pwllheli area for the first time at the end of May 2016 & while Google maps & streetview have been good, they can only take us to a certain point. You show us the heart of the place and the main points.
+Andrew Lang Many thanks Andrew, it's a great place to visit too, I can recomend taking a look up at Pwllheli Promenarde and also check out the Cadwaldaders Ice Cream and All Ports Chippy as well! ;o)
When I was a kid, we used to go to Pwllheli, Llanbedrog and Abersoch just about every summer. I've been back quite a few times since as well, and it's an area I really like. The video was excellent, and really gives the impression of the town centre and marina area! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Rob, Thank you for sharing another of your walk-a-bouts in beautiful Wales. I have friends in the Blackwood area of South Wales and I made a visit to the region in 2004, sadly not for long enough........I have been hooked on the beauty of Wales and its people ever since ! Have a great day, Best regards, Bruce
Another interesting travelogue, Rob. Nice to see the 'Home Bargains' by the railway station - we get all our toilet and kitchen rolls from there ... not the one at Pwllheli, though, the Stourbridge or Brierley Hill branches are much nearer! LOL
@@RobCharles1981 I don't know why they've got rid of it but you still get arriva buses doesn't make any sense so I don't know why they took the train away
Thanks for this. I lived in Pwllheli while working at the camp at the end of the 80s' and early 90s'. I lived in Pott's Road, off Ffordd Mella. I recognise a lot of the places featured in your film. So much has changed, I know. A shame to see how a lot of Bon Marche has closed since I lived there.
No, I didn't know Rob. I did know your old Mayor, Henri Reese Williams, though. I used to have a few good chats with the bloke who had the 'Chapter and Verse' shop in Gaol Street. I suppose that's gone now. A lad worked for me. His dad was headmaster of the local school. Good family. Cheers.
@RobCharles1981 Look forward to seeing that! I notice on this current video that there are a lot of what look like Cornish Independence flags flying from buildings (the black ones with the white cross in the middle). I've never seen those in Pwllheli before!
the people who live in pwllheli like me see it every day so we think its boring but i still havent explored it all yet pwllheli does have some nice places to go to especially if u like fishing if u do come to pwllheli

I live in Pwllheli. But don't see why people find it so nice here.
hmmm
There's not much to do here really. Nice to visit I'm sure, but when you live here, you run out of things to do. It's all same old, same od.
