Coach Bennett Got Me to 5k on the Nike Run Club App! New Runner to 10k - Week 2

  • Can a mere meatloaf run a 10k? I am a new runner trying out the NRC App. This week we continue on to week 2 of the 10k training program via the app. Apologies for the late upload. Ran into some issues with editing, got a little sick, then rolled my ankle. The injury wasn't too bad and happened after I finished week 2, so it has only affect my week 3 training. Other than that, this week was great, learned a lot, and most importantly, the NRC app got me running and progressing toward my goal.
    There are 8 weeks total with this program with 5 runs each week. This is my first attempt to get to 10k and will be posting weekly videos recording my progress and thoughts on the NRC app. #beginnerrunner #10krun

    Great videos! Loved DBZ in the intro and also the pain song in the last video when you didn’t want to run. (Proud of you for still doing that run btw). I have never hit a subscribe button this fast. Keep going! ❤

    No way!! I just started day 1 of the beginner plan on NRK today. And I literally adopted a corgi a Cpl weeks ago! Love to see the content :P

    Thanks for sharing your journey. I too am a new runner. I completed the NHS Couch to 5K programme here in the UK. Then picked up a hip flexor injury. It has taken me 6 weeks to get back to being able to run and have now done the first 2 days of the NRC 10K programme. I have also managed to shed 3st (42lbs) in 3 months.

    Good stuff man. I’ve been trying to run in a way that it’s sustainable. I used the guided runs and it helped tremendously.
