It doesn't surprise me at all that 3D and Daddy G don't appear in this early TV appearance. Massive Attack was always about so much more than any one person. If they didn't actually play or sing on the number they were never going to mime, just to get on TV.
Oh my G... Has a MA lover watching such a gem of a video I'm in a complete "whaaa" but my head just exploded seeing at 1:50 a Portuguese fellowman in the percussion, Luis Jardim, who is actually a very prolific international producer.
I do wonder what Massive Attack would be like if they'd have kept this kind warm soulful funky sound rather than going down a darker post-punk inspired sound with Mezzanine (which is absolutely a great album by the way).
This was 32 years ago? I just recently listened to Sade's performance of "Be Thankful For What You've Got". The combination of great musical talent and a great song always sounds great.
who knows how to sing does it live... , magnificent voice... today there is no longer that type of music and regrettable singers... I always enjoy beautiful songs.
