See Karma laughs but at the begining of the Vietnam campaign for the server that was KOGFOR for like the first hour and half of our patrols xD Walking into trees for 30 seconds cuz its pitch black, having convos with your battle buddy and then immedietly losing him in the dark and getting lost, having to cango line around with a lead guy with a flash light and hope you didnt lose audio range of their voice.
Reforger is more of a tech demo of their newer engine for the next Arma series so yeah the engine itself is better but everything else is I would say not there yet

It looks like a better target than it is. Keep in mind Karma's squad doesn't have any automatic weapons there. The only way they can inflict a lot of casualties on a larger force is with explosives and water seriously dampens the effectiveness of those in ARMA. The ground is extremely flat here. If you look the terrain barely seems to rise more than about a meter above the water level in the area of Karma's observation post. There is a lot of foliage in the area but foliage only offers concealment. Not cover. The only actual cover is the trees. At the same time there is a second element of enemy forces which stayed back and was watching the first group cross the river from further back. Consider what would have happened if they opened up on those 15 guys. They would down a few men with their rifles if they were lucky but there's only so much fire they would actually be able to get on target before the GI finish the crossing and start to fire back. If the group across the river took notice and started to engage then Karma's squad of three or four people would be facing automatic rifle fire from two directions on flat ground in the middle of the day from a full platoon of GI. They likely wouldn't manage to inflict more than a single actual casualty for all the effort while putting themselves in a terrible position.

Trigger discipline. Instead of killing 2 guys he was able to do this 13:59
