Thanks for the video I realized halfway through of replacing my starter on same make and model that removal is 3/4 of the work... installing new starter is way easier except on mine I needed a 12mm and a 15mm instead of your 13mm and 15mm
The uninstall is always a slow process unless you have a million retorques to do on reinstall, that really slows you down lol. Thanks for watching Joey!
My 2001 xterra v6 2wd has no crank, but all the lights are on so it’s not the battery, the starters just not turning, and it has been hard starting at times. thanks for the video, it will be a big help when I do replace my starter. Will probably save me a couple hundred dollars doing it myself, plus I just replaced my distributor and cap about 3 months ago so it should’t be that.
It has a high pitched sound like the starters trying to turn but can’t, it also has one click right as I turn the key to the on position, I was looking at it today and I have an oil leak so the starter is covered in oil. That is the most likely reason it’s not working.
I have 02 same engine, u manual transmission. my problem is the clutch line runs directly under the starter, across the opening you slid it out of. I cannot get the starter past the clutch line.
Just had the starter go out in my 05 Nissan Pathfinder, it doesn't look much different, thanks for the instructions, should help...

Is the vehicle clicking when you try to start it or do you have one click or no click?

I have one click when I try mine, all lights work, battery tested good but then again so did alternator and starter lol. I'm at a loss
