I live in an apartment where the electric box is in the basement and have no access to it. The landlord said I can change my ceiling fan but I can’t turn the electric off. It has a light switch to it to turn power off to it. Would that be enough to install it without harming myself?
Theoretically yes, with the switch off there should be no power flowing to the ceiling fan and you should be okay. You just have to make sure it doesn't accidentally get switched back on. If you want to be extra cautious, you could also wear some rubber electrical gloves.
I can’t believe you took that cool looking fan to the dumpster. What a waste, at least put up on craigstlist free or buy nothing. Someone would have loved that!!
Really helpful!
Are you selling that old tropical fan by chance?
The new fans look nice and sleek!
😆

@@marcuspullan1142 why are you replying to something that is 3 months old and none of your business.
7:25 was the best fan, until you thought it was bad
It was old and squeaky! The new fan blows air much better too.
