The eldest daughter is a hero. It touched me that she was so broken that she left them for 20minutes but came back. She was so honest in her humanity. I will never forget her story.
I agree...it had to be extremely scary
When she told the story using her drawing. And when she said, ‘Maybe if I woke up earlier, I could have save my mother’. Man, I can’t stop my tears.
I came here bcos of this comments. The eldest sister is a super hero.
Truly a hero. My day to day problems are nothing compared to what that girl went through with her siblings.
She's special. Our Mighty God guided her & tested her! All those 4 babies are gifted, but the eldest definitely hav a special mission ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I teared up seeing those four children alive; it was a wonderful documentary.
😢 just watched it. We need to respect our indigenous populations all over the world 😢
💯💯💯😭❤️💛💚🖤
I agree 100%
Don’t worry about them they’ll be the only ones left to go on just as they have.. in tune with mother earth
They should be humanity's blueprint for our next chapter ... if we want to stay alive and maintain this beautiful planet that we call home!
This is the only reason why I’m keeping my Netflix subscription. THE DOCUMENTARIES !!
I sobbed the entire time. What a historical story
I cried like a baby
@@albertalvarez5072 me too, the whole story, everything was just unbelievable.
Me too
I cried like a gay
I just finished it and I’m still crying, I’m about to watch some charismas movie to cheer me up lol
The first ever documentary I've ever watched and paid attention to😭😭 Lesley is such an amazing child to have protected her siblings. I really felt their pains and cried when the indigenous people were already losing hope. Thanks be to God for preserving them😢
Wow!! What a miracle!! I was so impressed that the Colombian people could put their differences aside for the children. Much respect to the Military and the beautiful indigenous peoples of the region.
Netflix has pretty much tanked its entire library of original series at this point. But somehow they've become legendary documentary producers.
They need to stick with this. There isn't a platform, other than Kanopy, with an extensive current documentary section
It's because hollywood is mostly made up of pedos and hacks. Their best stuff are Asian content.
Says who??? What is your type of shows? Cowboy shows? Less minorities on tv and more Caucasians? What is it that strikes you mad about Netflix? You want “make tv great again?” Somebody educate me.
Unless you can see Netflix books, that's an awfully low iQ statement to make...yikes
They literally make the best documentaries
This documentary had me
hooked from the start. It's truly a miracle that these 4 kids survived alone for 40 days. Especially the Lil one Christin. I cried to this one. Worth watching 🤍
This was a fantastic story, and I'm so happy they made a documentary about it. Nature is life, and we have to protect it.
dont need to protect the kids tho
People are cutting down the forests for their making money
This made me cry so much i cant stop my self from crying.. lesly shes a hero very strong girl i admire you a lot in such a young age you managed to keep all your siblings alive imagine your also injured.. 40 days is very long especially inside the jungle with all those wild animals and weather condition its truly a miracle nothing is impossible with God🙏😊
That teenage girl is one of the toughest people on the planet🫡
This was an incredible story told so well in that it honored the indigenous people for their skills and knowledge of the jungle but still gave the military the respect they deserved and highlighted the relationship between the two. Those children. How the oldest daughter did it is a testament to her and her mother.
Wow 40 days the kids survived what a miracle! Their mother was protecting them and guiding them . What an incredible documentary .
Yes, let's reveal the outcome in the trailer...your life must be tragic.
I also felt the mother helping them & instructing the eldest. From the moment she woke up after the accident, until the moment they were found, when she said "Mommy is dead". This story is a gift ❤
And to think now they are not home ..Noone took the children ,what a father
Man.....Wow. 1st People's Forever. Their culture should be respected and remembered. I'm a 57 yo white man from the US....and this documentary hit me so hard. How those precious children were so damn brave. And the coming together of the people...what an epic documentary.
This news when this happened gave me goosebumps. Thinking how those kids spent nights after nights in dark , scary jungle with animals , mosquito , no food. What motivated them to keep going. I was praying kids to be found alive and was so happy to hear they were found safe.
As a Colombia, we were keeping track os this story for over a month, very interesting to see it now being displayed as a documentary on Netflix. You just have to think about the resilience of those kids.
And the selfishness of Adults with an agenda
I just watch it today. Hoping they will never be forgotten by the government and give them a good life. Also the indigenous that rescued them will be rewarded.
This is the best documentary I have ever seen in my life.😓 This is the moment when we say through tears "GOD IS GREAT AND ALL IS POSSIBLE TO GOD"🙏 I cried a lot. This is sooooo moving and inspiring. I watched a documentary today. And while I was going to pick up my child from kindergarten, I thanked God all the time that he is alive and healthy thanks to him.🙏🤍
You would love a documentary called "thirteen lives." I watched it on prime video. It's about the Thai cave rescue, I think netflix has a series or a documentary about it too but in my opinion thirteen lives is a better documentary, if you liked this one, you would absolutely love it.
Same here, it made me cry so bad while saying. "Thank you Lord" made me cry when they found the Children😢 it was miracle🙏💪
Stop thanking your lord for their suffering.
@@jaym5938 if you don't believe in God then alright, we can't force you, but you can't tell us to stop praising God for this miracle. He clearly heard their prayers. They were about to lose hope and wrap up the search party until the kids were found. Your life must feel so meaningless for you to spread negativity in the comment section.
Goosebumps all over. While all across the world, human lives are snuffed out as if they meant nothing, stories like this remind us why we should not succumb to despair. This is humanity at its finest.
Thank you for telling this story. When the children were found it was an incomprehensible, monumental achievement and the opportunity to learn how the retrieval happened looks like it will reveal the mystical net that connects us all. Much love for all involved bringing them home and to those who share their story.
Amazing documentary. Knowledge is power and it is fully displayed in this film. May our indigenous communities all over the world be protected ❤
This was so interesting. I watched the entire documentary urging and praying to find the children - it was just that captivating. Very happy the children made it. It’s a real miracle. What really interested me the way the producers showed all different sides to the long struggle. 10 stars! 🌟
This documentary broke my heart. I was literally sobbing while watching it. I can’t imagine how these young kids-these siblings-survived 40 days in the wilderness. Like, what?! It must have been so terrifying. The hardship and fear they went through are just unimaginable-having to figure out what to eat, where to sleep, all while knowing wild animals or predators could have easily killed them. It’s so sad to think about everything they endured. Thank God they’re safe now. They’re incredibly brave and so smart.
Not only all this but also going through a very scary plane crash and watching their mom die. The first thing the little boy told the rescuers was "my mother died" 😭 poor baby. These 4 kids went through big trauma, I hope Colombia takes care of them so they have a very easy life especially Lesly 💔❤️🩹
I watched the news of this story step by step at the time, and it had already been difficult. I didn't think this documentary would touch my soul so much, but it did, a lot. God is Mighty and Lesly is a superhero. Congratulations to the mother of these children, she has brought angels into the world.
incredible...my respect to all those involved in the rescue. especially those who never gave up hope and those that KEPT AN OPEN MIND...THOSE THAT LISTENED ...
Just finished it, I liked it! Those kids are real survivors!
This needs to be celebrated as one of the greatest survival stories of all time.
It absolutely amazing that netflix is covering such issues through this documentaries which no one is aware of 🤯❤
This was a massive global news story.
@@cupsofcarys I meant the genre
So true 👍🏻
What ?? This story is hugee all over the world dude. And i’m in asia
Lesly is a real hero ,. her story should be inspired by many how courage and love really matter. I hope she wil get well from her trauma.🙏🙏🙏
I wonder when Leslie becomes an adult how well she will remember the experience. Must be something unforgettable and she will be remembered by generations
A testimony of resilience and hope! I can't imagine the life of those children in the jungle for 40 days. God is the way, the truth, and life. Amen
This is the most astounding story.
Wilson you will always be remembered.
Wilson, siempre te recordaremos.
He still alive
Aún está vivo
Made me cry like a baby Good job netflix🙌
I was crying the whole time. There's still hope for humanity. Faith is alive. God is with us. The children were so brave especially lesly. It was the greatest documentary I ever watched. Thank ypu so much to all the rescuers and those who have helped and prayed to make this mission possible.
Great docu. Cried watching it. Lesli is the true hero. God bless her heart and all the kids
What a story. A true testimony that god is real. The way the indigenous people said the jungle was keeping them away for some reason until they asked for gods help. Whats remarkable was seeing both the catholics and the indigenous people faith at work. I cried like a baby. What a remarkable miracle of a story. ❤ God is absolutely good. The ayahuasca ceremony gave me even more certainty that god does leave tools to reach him directly. What a story. ❤
*God
Yes God is one, we only have different channels of reaching him, and faith is a common tool for all channels, I was also amazed by what God can do through people, This was not only about rescuing the children it was also about bringing back hope and collaboration among the Military and the indigenous people, and Glad that no one lost their lives during the search❣❣❣ and RIP to the mother and the other adults🙏🙏
God leaves tools to reach him directly 💯
Indígena religión not White jewish religión
Yes, and I also came to think about the ayahuasca and the message he got and that made me think about the Ancient Apocalypse series and what he said about the ayahuasca and the channel to comunication to greater powers. Makes you wonder.
I can't imagine how the oldest sister would handle her siblings when the night comes.
A very tiny sign of light but over all the vision is pitch black.
It could be very terrifying. Specially with the infant with her.
In my case it's very impossible for survival. But a miracle there is.
Hi mom just told me about it and I read the story and I saw the trailer and I don’t think I can see it. I feel too sad. But my mom told me about the incredible journey that not only either side army on indigenous people had to go through to be able to unite forces to find them. It’s a beautiful bitted reality that not only our country faces, but many other countries with their army and indigenous people. I think the middle you find always children, innocent people in the middle of the struggle. I work with children so it makes me sad and worried. I’m glad that they found them, but I worry about their future.
Just finished watching this and it was very moving and uplifting, not sad at all! Just finished watching this and it was very moving and uplifting, not sad at all! On the contrary, I found it was a very needed balm of hope if the state of the world has you feeling like humanity's pretty much doomed.
If you're worried about detailed descriptions of pain and suffering, it doesn't really feature that.
My ancestor came from a long line of indigenous people. Altho the new generation is converted to Christianity, the belief of indigenous culture are still kept alive. My grandmother told us that the jungle are belong to someone. It belong to someone who protect the forest from corrupted human beings. She said, if we respect the people who take care of the forest, they will protect us as well. The story of these children and the people who rescued them make me respect my culture and the people who are still pay respect to the forest.
I watched it yesterday, and its amazing. Both the story and the production. 10/10.
What an Amazing documentary!!!
Just finished watching, I literally felt like Forest God was protecting them for 40 days!!!
Lesley ❤
Great film - the biblical reference of 40 days is incredible - bit like a cherry 🍒 on top. When you first see them after all the searching; there’s a real sense or understanding that this was not without God’s protection. Miraculous
Btw so ironic - i wrote this two days ago - that was exactly 40 Days until December 25th 😯
Great documentary… the big sister is true hero… never give up but one time nearly give up but didn’t …
I think Mother Nature and their mother watch over them …
Is a miracle no wild animals, dangerous insects hurt them
And do U believe that the indigenous ppl use their god to search the children?
It’s truly a miracle
I have never heard or read about these children's story. I can't wait to watch this documentary.
Really? It made worldwide news, almost constant updates on CNN, BBC, and newspapers on every continent. I remember it well and just the desperation as the search went on, as every day passed. It was horrible to think of the 4 little kids lost all alone.
@@PozoBlue where are u from?
@@andrespuerto9121 i was in France when this happened and it was in the french news. I typically consume euronews, bbc, DW, france24 for international news, might browse CNN (i hate how biased they've become) and new independent journalists who do podcasts (on the center).
@@PozoBluewhen did this happen? How long ago?
@@PozoBlue I see, we'll, I'm glad they are gonna show us this story, it's incredible that just the children survived the crash, but that was just the beginning of a sad and awesome story. I say sad because all grown ups passed away, however these children showed us that life is worth fighting and living it.
The whole Documentary speaking humanity at it’s best, I sobbed the whole time 🥹
Just watched it on Netflix. Thanks to all rescuers, they're hero. Lesley is a real hero for her brother and sisters❤
Btw mr nicolas is very handsome for me hehehe.. respectttt❤
Girl! I thought I was the only one! 😆 I also find Nicolás very handsome... and he has sort of a mysterious air that makes him even more attractive... I don't know!
@marianasalazar6957 I strongly agree. I was immediately drawn to him the first time I saw him, as he's indeed handsome and has a captivating smile😆😆😍
I wanna hug Lesly ❤ what a phenomenal big sister, I wanna hug them all they are indeed true survivors. Thank God he preserved them 🙌🏾
I followed the children's story in the news until the end when they were found alive. Will surely watch this documentary.
Kudos to the eldest daughter and the second daughter who step up and keep their siblings alive for 40 days and the indigenous people who come together with the goverment and searching side by side.
My respect to the indigenous and military. However the hero is the little girl, too much power in her heart to care the kids. She said the doggy visited them but then the doggy left. Wilson never was found. The military stayed in the area a few more weeks but they couldn't find him 😢.
I'm SO HYPED with the documentary! Looking forward to seeing it and listening to their amazing stories. Protect our mother nature!
Just finished watching this. Had me crying when they were finally found!! 😢
Just finished this...thank GOD the children were found alive 😢😢❤
Probably the first one I've watched from start to finish in one take.
Usually it takes my a month
I was crying so much! It's truly a miracle that all children survived!
They deserve a stable life. Lesly did the work of keeping her siblings alive and should never have to work a day in her life along with her siblings. Was there a go fund me?
I want to help Lesly and her siblings too!! Her life should be comfortable forever!!!! 😢
Waiting for this from another side of the globe.
Chased the news until the children were found. More love to the brave kids❤.
Top documentary! A must watch by Netflix. This is a great example of ancient knowledge combined with hope and resilience. Lesly, Soleiny, Tien and Cristin, as well as all the brave indigenous rescue team and hard-core militaries united to save lives despite all the odds..I'm so touched by this story. Gracias, thanks, danke, merci 🫶🏼
Reminds me of a similar true story in the South Pacific, where some Polynesian boys stole a boat to sail home from a boarding school, got shipwrecked, survived on a remote island for months using their traditional knowledge, and then got rescued by this Australian guy who was sailing around only to find out they had already been declared dead.
Oh wow! I’d never heard about that, thank you. I will read about it.
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
wow just looked this up, and it was actually over a year (15 months to be exact), which is absolutely insane. Multiple birthdays came and went while they were there.

11 months old
The girls is a hero 🦸♀️
Those children have a great calling on their lives.. i pray life rewards them richly 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️
Worth watching ❤it was beautiful inspiring. The girl is really a hero May God bless these kids
May God heal this country Iwas not familiar with its history.
What a marvelous documentary and such an appropriate way to showcase different realities of the country, beyond the miraculous, grand, and inexplicable story it tells.
The State acts as a participant in the conflict (creating victims), and is therefore viewed with suspicion by the indigenous community. Issues such as the lack of guarantees for children in Colombia in general: inside their homes, violence and abuse; outside their homes, problems like the recruitment of minors by armed groups. All of this points to a lack of State presence and control over the territory (sovereignty), and unfortunately, this is the daily reality for many children in Colombia
How horrible life’s the elderly sister faced in this tragic, she still hiding from her father. I hope the government will support them as much as they needed.
Only a community that respect the Mother Earth could have kids able to survive
I remember reading about this ..I’ll have to watch the documentary..Netflix has the best…
The eldest sister is hero indeed❤❤❤ im crying watching it. God loves children
Wow this story is so sad and happy. The oldest daughter for sure is a hero and so is the guy that never gave up❤❤❤
El mejor documental de este caso ,, que nos tocó a todos los Colombianos,,,
지금 방금보고 들어왔음~눈물 나고감동~😢
I came on here after watching this documentary. Just to see what everyone else thought about this. When the indigenous guy said he turned into a tiger, and it showed how everything is in some way connected to us. Similar to Avatar movie. Any way, was so interesting from beginning to end and I’m just so happy these children were found alive. No matter what u believe in, it was truly a miracle they were found alive.
That potent concoction is ioaska is something amazing.
The fact the oldest took care of a 1 year old shitty , hungry , crying baby 40 days & nights along with 2 other kids seems almost impossible
Que documental tan bien hecho,,, me hizo 😭 ver de nuevo esta historia,,, tan increíble gracias Netflix..muy bien
I would like to see Netflix fund these children into adulthood. Or a loving family could take the four children into their home so they could be together outside of the system.
Vivo en Colombia, y no segui bien este caso,, de los niños perdidos,, pero vi este documental y quede atrapada ,, excelente todo ,, los niños son los herioes , el ejército, los indígenas,, y la producción del documental 10/10...
We all have a leslie in us… keep fighting to survive wherever you are😢
Congratulations Colombian govt. you had the respect of the rest of the world by not giving up on the children..
I am so glad they have done a documentary, I was trying to follow this story but it was hard finding updates and information from Australia, can’t wait to watch this, it was amazing these children not only found but all survived, so sorry their mother did not.

1B👍 I have been waiting for this documentary. When this happened, my family and me were praying for their safety. I think the whole world were praying. Thanks to their wisdom learned from their ancestors, the protection the Guardian of The Jungle, and God gave them, they survived. They were being blessed twice by God and the Guardian of The Jungle. Thank you Netflix for making this documentary, it is more than worth the wait.
The elder sister saved her siblings now that’s a Girl Scout 👏🏻
