The heck!? Ares' Phobos' Spear of Panic now affects Prodromos, too? His upgrades are already strong in the original since the Sword of Dread affects a unit in the next age (the Hypaspist), and now this. Prodromos are already incredible cavalry killers because they deal x 3 damage.
I mean if Sword of Dread wouldn't affect Hypaspist then it would affect absolutely nothing. I also don't see how it is such a good thing to "affect a unit in the next age". You get a research in Classical that is only worth researching in Heroic. That is a bad thing. Also, so what if Spear of Panic affects two units? So does Bite of the Shark.

So getting a unit a whole age earlier than your are supposed to plus buffing it isnt a good upgrade? Sure. Saying a tech is bad because another civ has something similar or better is kinda dumb. Its like saying the reworked Eggy upgrade from sekhmet that grants catapults in heroic is bad because greeks already get a range siege in heroic. Its still getting a good unit thats now available earlier than you should be able to. Its not a must grab in all scenarios, but its very strong in any matchup where hypaspist are usually build.

Zeus titans used to be by far the strongest boosted by Hera's monsterous rage and Dionysus hitpoints boost. on this rework the boost is only 5% hp though.

His unique archer unit is strong for sieging at range. hades late game is kinda cracked if you get like 10 of his unique archers. Poseidon: Poseidon is cav siege unit god. Out of the 3 poseidon is the strongest. it comes down fact that his timing attack in late game is very powerful. if he builds like 10 of his cav units. put bronze armor. your going lose your town center.. Earthquake can be game-winning move. The other two gods are inherently very defensive. if greek get to mythic range with resource vault, they are very good but they feature very slow and controlled play-style. Most people play the game fast and win-fast. Poseidon is exactly that. Play fast. Win-fast.
Not sure i agree. Hades buffs seem quiet cracked. Poseidon is ok but i can't tell if he's stronger or weaker compared to the og game. Zeus though is unquestionably the weakest. Some very significant nerfs to him. And i don't think his myth units are as spammable as you think -1 pop is really not impressive compared to how expensive myth units are already.
Zeus might have suffered the worst nerfs compared to the og game. His favour stacking is worse . He doesn't get the extra favour limit. 1 less pop for myth units is pretty much irrelevant considering how expensive myth units are already in terms of pop. It's not like it will make it any easier to have more units. The hoplite buff is also irrelevant since it won't really make hoplites that much faster since they're default quite slow and also you can no longer use tactics like the hoplite rush+ restoration to destroy tc since their dmg against buildings is now hugely nerfed.

Manticores are Insane, Zeus can spam them fairly easily, the reduced pop in myth units means for every 3-4 myth units your opponent has you can have an extra one. Specialyl now with the bigger armies due to more houses its gonna be noticeable. Heras buffs are really good, with myrmidons having divine damage.

Also greeks only get overwhelmed against myth units later in the game with having only 4 heroes. Zeus will still be strong as he always has been. He has múltiple viable strats. It will definately make it that far unlike othe gods, he gets stronger on the late game. Dont even get what an anemic civ is supposed. Yea zeus hoplite siege-like Rush is not gonna be as strong since the bonus was cut in half, but he is still a very decent god. Even among the greeks he seemed stronger than Posedon but weaker than Hades.

Wow, did you say that you need to manually upgrade your towers in Classical Age? Thats a Huge change. The whole Egyptian Ra build utilizes the free tower upgrades in Classical age up, to turtle until Heroic and the Camel/Elephant spam comes out. As an Egyptian Ra player, im quite salty about this change. And im sure a small army of Hades players and Heimdall rushers would side with me on this change being very, very bad news indeed. This essentially massively buffs Zeus hoplite rushes, and Atlantian rush strats, and im quite sure this single change will need re-addressing at some later point by the devs.
