One other thing I found: setting the right click scrolling speed to 0 still activates the scrolling but doesn't move anywhere. It's possible to disable it completely, but you have to unbind it in the hotkey menu. It's Camera Navigation Hotkeys > Move Camera with Mouse.
finally, i have been waiting for this video for so long. Played my first game against a top player yesterday, isis vs vortix poseidon, got my ass handed to me but i really want to improve more. By the way threshold snap to unit and worlds tooltip delay control the time it takes for your screen to go your army when you double click the hotkey you have for it, and the time it takes for the little text popping up when you hover over relics for example to apear respectively. I think it is kind of useful to have worlds tooltip delay on 0 miliseconds because the text when you hover your mouse over a relic pops up instantly, making it a bit more easy and quick to check what the relic is and what it does.
please you could do optimal settings guide or something for new players to start with the best controls, because they dont have to relearn anything also a controls beginners guide on controls would be nice to help people with mechanics
Thanks for the video! Have to jump in about FPS though, whoever says the eye cant detect above X FPS is clueless; seeing a higher FPS on a screen will always be smoother due to the fact youre seeing more images per second. Even 240-300fps is noticeable and 60-144 is a huge and noticeable jump
I've gotten used to building everything with ctrl, finding it with the letters alone, and will now introduce shift+letters to find all. Will probably stick to QWERTY for the unit training. It's so tempting to optimize hotkeys but I'm squirming cause I don't wanna relearn them again...
I just want to mention that in the UI settings, the option "Inverts Control/Shift" is specifically only talking about the Unit Select Panel (when you select an army, that box with all the icons of your army units in the bottom left). Coming from AOE4 and Starcraft 2, having this option turned *on* means that if I hold shift while clicking an army unit icon in that box, it removes it from the selection. This is the normal way for people who play AOE4 and Starcraft 2. To recap: You want "Inverts Control/Shift" turned *on* if you like AOE4 or SC2 style unit selection.
Hi Boit, re hotkeys is there away to deselect a unit in retold (used to use ESC button). For example i hear the scout finding sheep i use hotkey to goto scout then im finding i cannot deselect to then move the sheep.... dont necessary want the sheep to simply go straight back to town centre if using button in town centre. May want to go a less direct way so less chance of opponent getting them. I also just wanted to say I really appreciate and enjoy your content all the best.
This channel makes a lot of very good videos but I admit this one is probably the one I wanted the most, I'm happy ! I just wonder how can we compensate autoqueue ? There was a short comment about this using ?tab? or something ; does anyone know if there are other topics about it ? Thanks !
6:25 Each game recording is roughly around 3 MB and max around 10MB which is reasonable in my opinion unless you're playing a 1000 games.

I use 4K monitor. Let me tell you, if you already run in 4K by upscaling, that means your PC can handle it, you will be stunned once you see game on native 4K monitor/TV.
No the number in the middle is the current fps selected on the bar it is actually 60. The UI design there is bad having it in the middle of the bar makes it very confusing with the slider placement so I get it.

Off topic. Is it only me, or it is almost impossible to find online games using matchmaking ? I'm enabling 1v1 2v2 3v3 and I have been waiting for 30 minutes but can't find matches. Reminds of me the old days at ESO in 2008 or so when the game started to die and no one played anymore.
Feels like everyone plays rank , I played one game of quickmatch and ended up agaisnt a guy who was brand new, feels like the matchmaking isn't very good in quick play
The first few minutes are really bad. You don't explain most options or why you would use them. Then on the hotkeys, your face is blocking the last two entries every time.
Sorry about that, I don't really know what the settings are doing just that after testing it myself, I prefered the look of my game with these settings. Might need to get a dev or graphics person in to explain that stuff.
I wish they added “find all economic buildings” like in AOE4. Its so useful, because you can research the technologies in multiple buildings

I use the F1, F2, F3, etc keys to find all millitary, all temples, all armories etc. I don’t need hotkeys to cast the god powers

Totally right about hot keys. Ive only used shift for years, but recently ive started to only build walls with" x".

Deselect is ctrl+click in the UI panel iirc.
clicking into empty map terrain should also deselect a unit

I wish i could select all of one type of unit on the ui after selecting a group with the box. Aom titans it could be done.

I use Tab for idle villagers and idle military is ~Tilde
