Back when these dropped, I grabbed every single colorway I could find, along with the 1.5. My personal favorite was the grey/red/white one. I was a huge fan of D Rose and being a guard myself, my game was heavily modeled after his. As for the cushion, I swapped out the insole with an orthopedic one which actually solved the issue with the excess volume in the toebox and made them fit even better. Loved these.
If cushion here is nonexistent, does that mean that inserting third party insoles in them would be a perfect setup to those that needed cushion? Will the fit be compromised?

The D Rose 1 always looked like a low top trying to be a mid to me, like you could chop off that little ankle piece and it would look a lot cleaner imo.

Igol Corpuz it sure will because a third party insole normally are different size and fit, and most of the time it is thicker.
