I love how she said her gramma said, "can't be scared to try" that's what you gotta do when you start to do beadwork. I learned by watching 22 years ago to make a pow wow regalia for my oldest daughter. I just did it even tho I was scared.
nice work :) I am also a beader :) I have 20 years under my belt & I gotta admit, this is one of the most informative native tutorials I've seen :) AHO!! MIIGWETCH!! :D
awesome beadwork. its good to have things passed on from family to family. my great grandma i still have some of her beadwork that im planning on adding onto and passing down one day. my grandpa ofcourse never did beadwork. osage men normally dont.
Thank You for sharing this. I am Not a native American but live in Halstad, MN. very close to You. I am very interested in Your beadwork and Regalia. One thing I have long admired in Native American Quilts with the star pattern. I see them given to family members for funerals I have gone to. Maybe You can consider doing a show on How to do them. I am never sure I could get the points straight. Thanks Again!
i adore your history and how you carried on her passion im huge known beaded tapestry artist always inspired or never forgot where it all began is here anyway i can contact you im in Florida where are you love your work do you teach it
Are you still beading? I know this was seven years ago but you have to stitch the beads at least every two beads and maybe you’re adding too many beads in a line
Love your bedding work, thank you for keeping the tradition.
