Fu$king sick. I have been wanting to build a street bike engine powered rock buggy for so long. Probably not as intense as this rig more of a multi purpose machine and close to the side by side version but same concept wow this thing rips!
Been riding around on 4 pogo sticks for years, need them adjusted bad but school has been killing my wallet. What tires you think I should use in the 37 range? I ran red labels for years and still ride with friends that have them and I see no difference in grip. We have even tested the same tires on the same truck and neither one of them slipped a tire going up a wet rock slab. I still compare the tires with reds every time I go ride, have yet to not crawl something they dont or id buy them again.... if i had moeny haha.
Should have williford racing build a turbo set-up for it. Friend had a turbo busa set-up by Rodney. It had a liquid cooled plenum. 18 psi on 93 octane netted mid 300 wheel with a gt30
@@BustedKnuckleVideo what gear do you run the Toyota trans in? Nvm, just heard you say the bike trans stays in first, I wonder why you wouldn’t use the bike trans to shitft and leave the toy trans in first?
BustedKnuckleVideo he needs to figure out how to make a shifter and it's a totally awesome rig. Are we seeing the next class of rock bouncers? Hope so.
@@BustedKnuckleVideo i guess id need to see it. I dont get it. But this did spark a crazy plan for me to build something similar but different than this.
Could u do this same setup say with a powerglide with a 5k stall converter??? Just curious... I would think the automatic would be better for bouncers.... Anyone with any input please fill me in!! I'm in the process of building a mini bouncer...
No i done one you can kept the input shaft from moving but not torque converter its to big and heavy remember its revs quick but also dies quick no inertia weight in that engine thats why its on the rev limiter
I was speaking with a local converter company and he said he thinks it would be possible if I went with a high stall small diameter. He said nothing bigger than a 7". I did the calculations and a 2nd gen busa motor in first gear has about 160 lb ft of torque if I calculated it correctly... That should be enough I would think since a 4 cylinder car dont make anywhere near that at idle... Am I thinking correctly?
Sick. But how does a sport bike motor like the mud , being hot af then dipped in water. Didn't think sport bikes were built to handle that. Even riding in the rain. The rain gradually cools. Nothing like a hot jeep instantly dipped in a mud hole. ?
Should have built it up a little and turbo charged it if he went through all this hassle already. Thing woulda been so mean with 350+ hp and much more torque.
That would destroy toyota axles. If you need 1ton stuff you might as well go v8 because after you add all that weight your not going to notice another couple hundred lbs for the bigger motor with double the torque, and by the time you turbo it, youve spent the same amount of money a 600hp v8 costs. Youd have to major upgrade the bike motors clutch and trans to handle that, would cost sooooo much money.

It will never compare to bigger motors for sure, but its stronger than a 22r. With the transfer case in low, it crawls like a dual-transfer case ride which is what I do 95% of the time. The little extra wheel spin i get compared to a 22r helps me on things like that rock ledge or muddy hills but I could have crawled out the rest of the trail... but i was being videotaped so.... yeah. Id take a v8 and auto trans any day of the week though.
Good motor for some serious wheel speed...
Thing was pulling some wheelies!
Would love to know more about a Busa motor to Transmission clutch Fed Up parts description and so forth please
Rowdy as Hell, I like it!
got plenty of power
ZUKI's FOR LIFE !! It's a Zuk Thing !! Love the videos 😁 thanks for uploading !! You guys are the best 😁 highly insperational as always !!
This one is no doubt impressive yet there isn't much Zuk left

they rip for sure
That is so badass. My long term goal is to build a samurai based buggy.wow if you look hard enough you can see the Suzuki frame . Awesome
its rowdy with the busa motor
Now dude that is badass Matt
I want to build one now
ONE WORD.....DAMN!!!
Rowdy
Tennessee crew here. I live in middle East Tennessee. Nice set up.
it works well
Pretty slick
crazy light
BustedKnuckleVideo think I'll pass myself want big block regular one fix easier
Weird I wouldn’t expect a 200hp engine in a 2500lb vehicle to be so powerful
DapperDan it's all in the gearing
the gearing is on point for sure
DapperDan plus mudding isn't really about power. Too much power buries you.
It also turns out around 16k or more rpm. Crazy wheel speed
DapperDan funny to me. You say 200 HP is weak. But first time out it broke Every differential. Actually it broke everything on a samurai
Matt this reminds me of 1 Shot???? the 1340cc Busa powered RZR a while back.
grandprismatic 👋🏻
There’s a guy at uwharrie that has wheeled one of these for years. Very wicked sounding!
I was impressed!
Love the sound it wraps up quick
BustedKnuckleVideo
Yes definitely, very awesome sounds coming outta that beast! Probably get an award for shortest and strongest driveshaft ever lol
BustedKnuckleVideo
Very cool you can tell he’s just a normal guy with hard work and dedication to do what he loves on the weekends
True and True. The driveshaft it crazy short
Need some more footage of this thing.
agreed
Seen this thing at woolys about 4years ago nice rig
It works well
That thing is pretty awesome! It does really well as is but if he softened the suspension a bit and put real tires on it ..... it’d be unstoppable!

What are real tires?
289pinto tsl swampers are “real” tires. Hell even the donut spare on the front of your Pinto could be considered a “real” tire I suppose
What gears are you running in your axles?
*Goodjob Man!!*
killer build

Like to see him do tough truck competition
Needs some shock tuning and it would be ready
What drive shaft did you use
Still hoping to see the edited version of SCS GearBox NRRS Round 1&2 Bouncer Class Hill at DTOR ?
We somehow lost the footage from that event unfortunately
I love. CUstom builds but this one is done right
Sick as...nice build
It works well
I’m trying to understand. The bike stays in first and the Toyota clutch and trans does the rest right .
yes
Too cool for seat belts!
he is wearing a lap belt, but probably should have had on his shoulder harnesses as well
And a helmet plz! Gave me anxiety watching his noggin bouncing around inside all those bars. Wicked cool setup tho for sure!
He could get away without a helmet if he just strapped in with his harnesses correctly
That's a killer noyice 😜
The sounds of high revving woopows

does this guy have any info on how he attached a pulley to the crank?
no idea
BustedKnuckleVideo damn I’m going to be build a buggy soon. I’ll so dome looking
The only thing i dont understand is how the clutch works?? I dont get it. The stock trans throwout bearing pushes... what? How?
He is using both
@@BustedKnuckleVideo i guess id need to see it. I dont get it. But this did spark a crazy plan for me to build something similar but different than this.
I’d like to see a V-Max motor in a buggy or UTV.
V-Max?
@@BustedKnuckleVideo yes, a Yamaha V-max motor. It’s a V four motor with lots of HP and Torque. I had a Honda VFR 750. V4 motors are torquey as hell.

So you have to get out of the buggy to shift in reverse?
I don't think so

there are two transmissions

I drive out of my way to avoid mudd. As long as I remember to turn on the radiator fans, it never gets hot.
Shouldn't be an issue
I really need to get in touch with the fella that built this buggy !! So if anyone know him or how to contact him that would be awesome!
I don't know him personally, cool dude tho
theres always that guy thinkin outside the box
ingenuity at its best
So he is using the bike clutch?
He leaves it in 1st gear then uses the Toyota Trans for the rest
Bike clutch is used to shift the toyota trans.
i thought he was talking about buggy the clown from one piece who suddenly came a samurai of the seas
huh?
Axles Samurai ?
toyota
Should do a BK build with him on a BK zuki mini bouncer

Just needs some shock tuning and a turbo 😀
BustedKnuckleVideo I dont think the axles would like a turbo lol but I would LOVE a shock tune, sway bar, and an automatic transmission.
a rear sway bar really frees up your shocks to do what they are supposed to do.
Cute
It is pretty rowdy
that bugg look angry
its Rowdy
Its needs some farmers and swampers
Those treps were doing pretty good
The dependence of high rpm and turbo boost is laughable. I love forced induction, but for off road and rock crawling it is counter productive.
This little buggy is better for rock bouncing than crawling

Lol where’s the Samurai

nope, it dont rev high enough.

:)
thats one heck of a weed wacker
BustedKnuckleVideo with how light it is, how big of tire will he need to make it float?
he could kill the bounty hole.
It would need more power to skim
BustedKnuckleVideo no, not skim.
float, like an argo, or bigfoot on the missipper river. just pattle along at about 1mph..
It would need some bigger tires to float
Budak ML je tau haha
what the fuck
Pure awesome
Poor Toyota can't handle Suzuki engines.
just the Hayabusa ones lol
